Took a little time, but it was quite busy. That being said the food was delicious and there was a lot of variety!

I can understand how this type of quirky place would be the center of a college town — lots of funky options, a cool building, etc. But bagels do take an eternity to come out, the cashiers are surly, and honestly the bagels just aren’t that good. I mean, look, I’m a New Yorker. I’m going to be hard to please on bagels. But the lox was bland, the bagels were inconsistent in size and flavor, and they were a bit stale. So not bad — I mean, it was the best option around by far. But not an amazing bagel.

The food is great! I don't know much about how the service is considering I've only ever ordered it for delivery.

Good place for good sandwiches. Frickin chickin and Milanese are good if you like pesto.

A favorite stop for us in Ithaca. While "bagels" are in the name- and they are great NY style ones- the menu is greatly expanded including sandwiches, salads, bowls, smoothies, coffee bar and desserts. Everything we've tried we've liked. Prices are fair and while the line is confusing the first time you go, the staff keep you moving along and are helpful! Funky vibe fits the college location.

Collegetown Bagels is an Ithaca institution, serving up breakfast sandwiches and more to hordes of locals, Cornell kids, and tourists for nearly 5 decades. We stopped in for breakfast for our last morning in town. For a Sunday morning, there wasn't too much of a crowd to fight through. I ordered a whole wheat "Long Island" (known to us down staters and out of staters as an 'everything') with whitefish salad and a hot Americano. The bagel came out pretty quickly but something was lost in the mix: the whole wheat everything was a whole wheat plain. While the whitefish was nice and pleasantly smoky, the bagel was proof that you just can't find a good NYC style bagel outside of NYC or the suburbs: it was too chewy and lacking a body of flavour.

A staple of life here in the Ithaca area. As a New Yorker, I couldn't live without a bagel store. They are terrific.

Best bagels and sandwiches in college town. Go for bagel Tuesdays for a deal! Miss the old location though!

Nice place overall for bagels and pastries. Service is good as well. I just wish they had more whole wheat options in the pastries section.

Tasteless, Burnt , overpriced . Three words but what do they All share? Your experience at College town bagels. At this establishment you can pay $15 for a bored college kid to get your order wrong twice . If that doesn't tickle your pickle, I recommend you order a simple cold brew . This flavor defies all odds and you will taste a weird fermented honey water .

Average food and coffee, horrible service. The workers we encountered were pretty rude which kind of took us off guard because we thought it was a funky place and we were having a good time. Coffee came out, not as ordered but that’s ok. It’s just coffee. Then after asking at the 17, 21 and 25 minute mark, a nice lady grabbed our food that was in a bag, off the shelf. We had been sitting, waiting and patiently asking if our 2 simple bagels were ready and finally the only nice worker discovers them. Waste of time and the establishment wasn’t even busy. Also, the cream dispenser is horrifically dirty. Please clean those nozzles before some brilliant Cornell student gets botulism.
