Hate to do it, but I have to give them 1 star.
I went to them for a pre purchase inspection of a car I was buying in Ithaca (I’m from Syracuse so this isn’t my normal mechanic). Trusted them with the inspection as they would have nothing to gain from a car that would go back with me to Syracuse.
They told me the rotors were basically gone and one was in desperate need of a change.
I told this to the dealership who said it wasn’t true, they re looked at the car and it seemed to be in great shape.
I figured the dealership was just trying to close a sale and the deal almost fell through. We negotiated a bit more and I bought the car.
Coming back to Syracuse, I brought the car to my mechanic, I trust them whole heartedly.
Car comes back 100% no issues reported (from the mechanics that WOULD profit from repairs).
Not sure what they thought they would get from lying about this but regardless, I lost all faith in them. Glad it didnt ruin the deal!

Great place. Originally had an appointment at Mavis next door but Hunts did my oil change for 50 dollars cheaper and only took one hour even though I was a walk in. Super friendly staff. Definitely reccomend.

I had my daughter's corolla repaired at this store. Staff are very friendly and professional. What impressed me most is that they even rinsed our car after changing the front light covers. Highly recommended.

Slaterville Location: Thank you Rory for the great work!!! I had three issues with my vehicle in the past couple of months. I could not get into my normal mechanic on the first issue for over a week, so I gave Rory a call. I was shocked at how quickly they got my vehicle back on the road. My first experience was the best, and the next two were equally great. Their pricing is competitive for this area and Rory and his staff are knowledgeable and very pleasant. So, ditch the hassle of driving downtown, or take a short drive to Slaterville.

Let me be honest. Hunt's automotive is by far the most honest bunch of folks I've dealt with in this life when it comes to automotive repair. In the time I spent with Rick and Kurt they themselves are honest in their own lives which carries over into their work. The mechanics that I've seen here are men of a mature age and seem to care about the auto repairs that they do. To quote Rick in some of the things that he said in the time that I spent there, I told Rick that I was informed by Mavis tire that I needed a new Catalytic converter and Rick said and I quote "maybe maybe not" "we'll wait and see" "Will cross that bridge if we need to" they went step by step eliminating. What was the cause of the problem saving me thousands of dollars and not needing a converter. Our 2011 Honda CRV has never run better in the time that we've had it. Since it's been brand new, we'd like to thank Hunts automotive and all its employees for a job well done. I have finally found an honest and new mechanic for a lifetime Hunt's automotive. Hunts, we thank you for your honesty and you have now gained another customer for life.

They kept fixing my car and telling me it was worth it, and then the car kept breaking down over and over after each repair. I spent thousands of dollars over the course of six months with them, and in the end they just took my car in lieu of the last repair payment because the car was so beyond repair. I gave them so much money that I could have used for a new car. I felt totally used by them, and completely taken advantage of as a woman with not much car knowledge. Do not go here.

I drive from Montour Falls to take my cars to Hunts. Always been treated fairly. Never any doubt I'm getting the best from the best. Thanks guys ! Don't remember when I did the original post but these guys are still at it stronger than ever.
