just came in for a haircut and it came out absolutely beautiful. my second time coming to julie a stone salon and both times were just amazing!! along with the service being perfect. my favorite thing about this salon is how sweet and kind everyone is. I always feel so comfortable,welcomed, and relaxed and conversation flows very easily. my haircut came out beautiful and danu really took her time and made sure it was great and she is always so so nice. absolutely my favorite hair salon i've ever been in. i love coming here! and i can't wait to go back again.

Incredible team! I needed to book hair and makeup for a formal event with less than a week notice. Thomas, the head of house, was amazing and very helpful with getting me all set up. He even arranged for Izabella, a makeup artist, to come to the salon to do my makeup after my hair was done. Izabella was amazing. Elizete, my hair stylist, did an incredible job styling my hair. I have never felt more beautiful in my life than I did after leaving Julie Stone Salon, and everyone was so warm and kind throughout my appointment. Thank you so much to this amazing team. I'd give 10 stars if I could!

Julie cut my hair during my four years at Cornell. She gave me the best haircut I've ever gotten and I don't know what I'm going to do now that I'm leaving Ithaca! Super nice group of people.

Went and got bangs back in October and I figured I would just grow them out like I have in the past but I have kept them for a few months now. Danu did such a good job and she’s very kind and patient which I appreciate so much <3. I absolutely love my bangs and don’t see myself growing them out any time soon. Thomas is also always so sweet to make me feel comfortable as soon as I arrive. Would recommend <3

My mom and I have been coming to Julie for over 25 years. I absolutely love this salon. I feel so relaxed, and the staff is extremely helpful, providing product recommendations, drinks and excellent conversation. Julie herself is a master stylist. She'll often build on the cuts you ask her for, following what works best for your hair. My hair feels rejuvenated with new life after a wash and a cut. And I got some good advice for long-term care on my scalp, which I'm so grateful for. I could not recommend this salon more!

Had a bad experience and left with the worst haircut I have ever had. I came in for a bang trim and first the stylist practically insisted I get my hair shampooed even though I did not want to. I gave in so she would stop begging. Then she asked if I wanted to keep the shape of my bangs before trimming and I told her yes just for her to not keep the shape, get rid of the side pieces, and trim them so much shorter than I wanted. Part in the middle was uneven but every time she insisted that it wasn’t and it was just my hair sitting weird. I left unhappy and had to pay $80. That is ridiculous for a bang trim and a forced shampoo!! Not coming back and I am very unhappy with my experience at this salon.

Danu was awesome. I wanted to try short hair for the first time and they saw the inspiration picture and helped perfectly customized it to actual suit me. Thomas was really helpful getting me booked and helping me find the salon. Great team, great space, great service. Thanks yall!

I had the pleasure of working with Danu as my stylist.
I had a wash, trim, and style.
Danu asked about my hair goals, made suggestions, and checked in with me throughout the process to make sure I was happy with the end result.
To say I am elated is an understatement. I am so happy with my cut, it is exactly what I needed after an exhausting week. I feel refreshed and beautiful!
I got to speak with the owner Julie Stone and was very impressed with both her and Danu's customer service.
I asked about products and Danu made excellent recommendations while keeping my budget in mind. I will definitely be returning.
Thank you again for the excellent service!
I will say that this salon charges a bit more than I am used to spending on my hair services (I had been going to supercuts, eek). However, the value of the service is well worth the price. I encourage you to not be dismayed by their pricing as they offer exceptional service.

Julie stone falsely accused me of stealing her purse and keys after getting my hair done. She gave my cell number to her husband who proceeded to harass me and threatened to call the police.She found her keys and purse a few hours later. Julie lacked the integrity to personally contact me to apologize. Horrible service. Will never go to her salon ever again. As a journalist, I find insulting that she keeps trying to silence my opinion about my outrageous experience at her salon.Services: Blowouts

I had an awful experience with Julie Stone. After getting my hair done, i received a frantic call about first--her keys missing---then her purse. Of course I didnt touch either and wished her luck in finding them. I would have been willing to let it drop until she had the gaul to give my cell number to her husband. He proceeded to threaten me if i didnt return her purse and call the police. I do not take well to threats by some arrogant, obnoxious man whom i have never met. I told him to call the police. Miss Stone found her keys (she lost them) and did not even have the presence of mind to apologize to me directly. Unacceptable and disgusting behavior. I hope both Jule and her husband learn how to take responsibilities for their own actions.

First, I was not told the cost as I walked in. The site just said “$250 & up” which I assumed to mean that my hair would cost $250-$350… It ended up being $600 for under 2 hours of service. Julia made several comments on my weight and my body which was completely inappropriate. After about 3-5 hair washes, my platinum blonde hair has become fully orange and looks absolutely awful. I would never recommend this hair salon ever.Gave a reimbursement, review updated.Services: Haircut
