The highlight of our trip to Ithaca Lowe’s today…having an employee tell us that customers shouldn’t be allowed in the store because all they do is steal. This was after we waited for no one to show up to help us with purchasing a circular saw after we pressed the help button. Then we had to go find someone to help, and we got that gem of an employee. Being made to feel like a criminal was a delightful touch to our shopping experience. The second person we asked for help, who we had to go find as well, was very nice. However, that poor guy was so overworked, he wasn’t able to give us his full attention. Lastly, we wanted to avoid the self checkout, being that we are “thieving customers”, and the sole employee near the registers informed us we need to go to the garden center for a cashier.

At least if you're going to lock up ALL your power tools, you need somebody posted to unlock them at all times. The posted price was $15 higher than your own website as well, which I'm certain I would have to fight for at the register.
After a dozen laps around the tool area, I walked to the two people standing near the self checkout who told me I would have to wait until the only person who could unlock them came back from lunch....
Yea no thanks, I'll get it from Amazon or something for less.

Both Charbroil grills (@$649.00) were delivered damaged. The first delivery, on June 27, never made it off the truck, it was so damaged. The replacement grill, on July 4 , did not have screws tightened and the handle fell off in the truck. The side pieces bent up when carried because they were not tightened either. Screws too short? The delivery guys, who are different from the assemblers, worked on it for at least a half hour reassembling it. A bunch of wires hang down next to the grease tray.. it doesn’t ignite. Next time will buy American.

Lowe’s came through for me !!!
They fought for me for my countertops to be rescheduled and were great with follow up.
Stone central sent Alex, victor and Karen on the following Monday. They were absolutely wonderful. Stayed for hours until the job was done right. Love them.

Lowe’s COUNTERTOPS. Are installed by stone central. Syracuse ny
BE WARNED, PRIMA DONNAS
The installers came out to install and stated that the cabinets were not plumb, turned around and left with my countertops back to Syracuse (1 hour away).
My contractor put three levels and a string across all of them every one of them was plumb.
I called the installer and he refused to come back
my 88-year-old mother is moving into the house tomorrow, she Waited until the countertop's were going to be Delivered and installed
Everything has been coordinated, but Stone Central is not helping and NEITHER IS LOWES

So slow and not very knowledgeable in answering questions you may have. Go to Cayuga lumber they'll get what you need /want without a bunch of bull
. The whole Lowe's in Ithaca N.Y has a team of a bunch of untrained individuals. been going to Ithaca Lowe's for many years. Just gets worse. I promise I will never step foot in that store if it's the last store in the world slow/rude/ incapable individuals trying to run the store.

Just left this store for the last time. Trying to buy dirt and a couple of flower trees turned into a rainy ordeal with no customer service until I was challenged in the parking lot to provide my receipt. How about a little help loading my car? No lol just unfriendly accusations and zero interest in keeping my business.

Didn't have what I needed. Was hard to find someone to help me. All Lowe's are this way. The employees scatter when they think you need help. Sorry but Home Depot employees are always willing to help. Just wish Lowe's employees would care more about their customers.

The return counter was fast and helpful and I'm glad the woman explained that she had a major headache and was sorry if she seemed off and rude but she wasn't.

Great for the homeowner not so much for the contractor

Come one, come all, hear the story of Lowe's left a fridge in the rain on my front porch instead of installing it and taking the old one, like we had agreed.
Twas a Friday night when I reached in the freezer to find a soft piece of bread in my hand. As I check around, everything is warm and melting, oh no, what horror has struck. After a visit from the fridge doctor, it is diagnosed as terminally ill.
Our landlord jumps into action, finding a new fridge on Lowes with options for delivery and pick-up of the old fridge. What a wonderful service we think, so he books for the soonest delivery. Sadly they cannot deliver until Monday, giving us a delivery window of 9am-1pm, remember this window for it will be important later. By the grace of god there is a snow storm all weekend, so we are able to leave the surviving groceries in a cooler in the sunroom successfully.
Sadly, on the Sunday before the new fridge arrives, tragedy strikes, while at a birthday party a friend is gravely injured, and we spend the night rushing to the hospital and making sure she is safe. Not till 3am do we get to bed.
Knowing the fridge is due, I set my alarm for the last possible moment, 9am, thinking I will spring out of bed at the sound of the alarm and check the window to see if anyone is there. Surprisingly the plan is executed flawlessly, and at 9am I spring out of bed and run to the window, what I see takes away my breath.
There is a fridge already sitting in the snow at our door step, with melting snow falling all over it from the roof. In the drive way is a man taking a photo of it and then running for the hills as if chased by a dragon. I run downstairs to the entrance as fast as I may, but by the time I open the door there is no one in the driveway, just a wet fridge sitting sad in the snow. I look at my phone, it was 9:01.
I come to find a few messages on my phone, apparently big brains from Lowes came half an hour early and sat in the drive way for 30 minutes because screw the schedule, Lowes is above all! Woah is on me for not having been up early awaiting the Lowes lords and now it is on my to move the wet fridge up the stairs to our apartment, after having been up till 3am the night before assisting others. What is the point of giving a delivery window when you come when you will, I know not, but Lowes said screw you, its your problem now.
Even better the big brains from Lowes were kind enough to strip off all the protective plastic when they left it on the porch, so scratch the brand new fridge twice we did going up the stairs.
Today I await the Lowes lords to come get the old fridge, which has been clogging up the kitchen ever since. Today they gave us a window of 8am-12pm, so at 7:30am I was waiting, but nothing till 11:20. At least they were in the schedule and did a clean job removing the old fridge, just wish they had shown the same proficiency on the way in.
So take my warning and order not from the lords of Lowes, for no regard for your time or money do they show.
