mcguire ford cheated me.i bought my f150 2.7 at shepherd ford, then to be McGuire ford. i've used their service department several times, most recently in october 2023. they did some heavy duty work that involved removing/ replacing, draining/ refilling the transmission. prior to this service the transmission was perfect, smooth shifting, no issues, at all.a mere 1,000 miles later i was hauling my travel trailer across country when the transmission failed. limped into a ford dealer on the road who gave the totally unexpected diagnosis of needing transmission replacement. i called McGuire ford for consult. they denied all accountability. the on the road dealer's service dept couldn't say exactly why the transmission failed, but it was leaking from three four areas . AND., that the transmission had been overfilled. even they said it sure was suspicious of transmission failure so soon after transmission work.mcguire denied all responsibility leaving me with a $ 8200 repair bill. no doubt i won't go to Mcquire for anything, they cannot be trusted to even back up their own work. in this case, they took my money after doing shoddy work and turned their back on me when it failed. if i have one rule for living which it is to be honorable. Mcquire has been shamefully DISHONORABLE with me.

Not too bad of cars there, was going to purchase something then they sold it without letting me know. And they have this credited deal but half of the cars on the list wasn't actually on the list, weird. Not sure if I want to return again.

Needed a key fob programmed for a 2010 Ford expedition charged $196 but it wasn't programmed. They then said that's an additional cost. Could have gotten a unprogamed fob for $5 off Amazon. Horrible service and supervisor

I have had historically unpleasant dealings with Maguire and am irritated by the very limited choices that Ithaca residents have because of the Maguire monopoly. Having said, I recently found myself in a position of having to replace a truck that was totaled and was very pleased with the service provided by Glen Purdy and Brady McCord. They were personable, professional, unassuming, efficient, and knowledgeable. I went in looking for comps and came out with a truck and a much improved attitude toward this dealership. Thank you.

My rear seatbelt buckles keep getting crushed from gentle lowering and raising of the rear seats, a manufacturer defect that others with the same vehicle are having trouble with as well, but there is no recall on my vehicle. I was told on the phone that the seatbelt buckle repair would probably be covered so I made an appointment, waited a week, drove all the way to Maguire, only to find out they charge a minimum of 80 dollars to "diagnose" the issue before even considering coverage for a manufacturer defect. They outright refused to even look at it or let me take the 60 seconds it would take to show them what is happening with the vehicle, and demanded 80 for "diagnostic purposes". A seatbelt buckle is 50-ish for my vehicle so, it's not worth it. Am disgusted with this company for this rigid policy because there is absolutely no way it would take 30 minutes to diagnose this issue. It would take less than 5 minutes. Also, they charge an exorbitant amount for their repair work. They will only buy official name brand parts and charge a ton for labor. Last time I had my brakes done, I was quoted completely wrong (hundreds of dollars less) and they tried to make up for it by giving me a small discount on their new price. I bought my vehicle new from them, and just... expected better. The staff are nice, but their hands are tied by their ridiculous money gouging system.

Should be option for 0 stars. Dropped car off for a simple code clearing/ inspection after my Mechanic fixed the Exhaust Manifold and O2 Sensor was the code Setting the check engine light off. Permanent stored code needed to be cleared by a Ford Dealership by their computer. Instead they said 1600$ to replace the same thing I already replaced, bit the bullet and said do it inspect car. Received car back days later, poor communication from Service Desk people had to call multiple times myself with promise of call returned and never got a call, no inspection sticker, not sure if they actually replaced it or hooked it up to computer. Completely taken advantage of and still need car inspected.

we were helped by herb at Audi, he was very helpful and thorough in finding us a vehicle, even did some work on his days off. eventually he got us into a cute little jetta and were happy as a seal during fish friday! thank you herb, the finance manager and maguire dealerships ryan and chelsea mcintyre

Steer clear from this car dealership. They take advantage of elderly people. My dad went in and wanted to lease a new truck. Walked away after putting down 7,000 dollars and payments at 420 a month. After a few phone calls and several lies from their sales representatives later my sister was able to get him out of the deal. She then found him another truck to lease (same one he found in Ithaca) for 2,000 dollars down and 245 dollar monthly payments. Its awful that this dealership took advantage of him and his lack of knowledge of leasing a vehicle. Never again will he do business there.

I left my truck at 7:30 for a scheduled repair under warranty. Still sitting her at 5:25 still working on vehicle. I have had nothing but a nightmare working with this service department. Only reason I took it here again was under warranty repair I do not advise coming here at all
