We've seen every vet here and they're experts at what they do. The vet techs are kind and go above and beyond. The front desk employees are always on top of it (and squeeze us into the schedule last minute when needed).

Cornell University Equine Hospital
930 Campus Rd, IthacaCornell is one of those places that seems scary as can be for owners with large animals because for years its synonymous with massive vet bills so often owners opt to not call them for help when they need it. That is a mistake. Cornell is capable of handling more than anywhere else, more efficiently than anyone else. There is a few things owners should know before sending an animal down for assesment. Diagnostics are quoted on arrival. You have to pay half to whole of that at that time to proceed. They can do care credit or cards. They have hearts. They want to do the best for the animal as well. When you have a horse in the hospital there, no news from the team isnt a bad thing. Thats a good thing. No news means stable and good. They are often dealing with emergencies and things that are critical and they usually call 2x a day (think of regular hospital rounds, it's the same). If you want to see your horse go down and see the front desk. They will help you. The ladies are amazing. We had a massive surgery done on our 6 year old gelding, and Cornell was the definition of amazing to work with. I would highly recommend them.

VCA Colonial Animal Hospital
2369 North Triphammer Road, IthacaMy cat has had recent new medical issues and was doing well with VCA Colonials care. She became suddenly ill with projectile vomiting my husband called and from call to seeing the doctor was less than 2 hours even though the office was having computer issues. Dr. Butler the emergency doctor was amazing, kind, caring and professional. Explained testing and results, gave us options of care and answered our questions. The front desk staff and vet tech were all kind, caring and professional.

We brought our cat to Cornell University Animal Hospital for an ophthalmic evaluation after discovering a cancerous growth around one of her eyes. She had initially been scheduled for surgery, but upon our arrival, she was carefully reevaluated by Dr. Emma Kobitter.
What impressed us most was the extraordinary amount of time and care Dr. Kobitter gave us. She spent approximately 30–45 minutes patiently explaining the risks, treatment options, and her recommendations. She made sure we fully understood the situation and what we might be facing, while also showing genuine empathy and concern for our cat.
Although surgery remained an option, given our cat’s advanced age and the risks involved, we ultimately decided not to proceed. It was an incredibly difficult decision, but Dr. Kobitter’s thoughtful and compassionate approach gave us the information and confidence we needed to make the decision that felt right for our beloved cat.
We were equally impressed by the entire Cornell Animal Hospital team. From the students and technicians to the doctors, everyone we encountered was professional, caring, compassionate, and sympathetic.
We are extremely grateful to Dr. Kobitter and the entire Cornell team for treating our cat with such kindness and treating us with such understanding during a very difficult time. Their genuine concern and dedication to the well-being of their patients was evident throughout our entire experience.

Despite some terrible weather, Jesse and his team showed up with ways to pivot and managed to make the whole experience still feel festive. We had about 70 people and I was a bit worried about the lines but service was quick and he was great about encouraging people to try different things and then come back for more. The chicken is really incredible, prices were reasonable (especially for graduation night!) and we had nothing but rave reviews from parents and students. He even kindly left the girls with some trays of chicken and cornbread which they said were a massive hit at 3am:) Highly highly recommend!!

We ended up ordering the special, new york strip steak with duck fat fries and a salad, ending with chocolate terrine. The service is super friendly, attentive and kind. Know what I mean? They have a couple pool tables, a cool little outdoor area with a big screen, and if your hungry they serve up some of the finest bag of chips you can buy.

1640 Hanshaw Road, IthacaI am impressed with these people they have so much patience. We had a stray from our neighborhood show up on our doorstep pregnant begging for food. She was so skinny. We brought her in and treated like family. Fed her, wrapped her up in a blanket and gave her a little milk as a treat. My 8 & 6 year old daughters absolutely fell in love with momma kitty. We had to do the right thing and get her spayed. Thank u to the spca we only had to pay 25 dollars! Thanks guys.
