Almost Home Dog Boarding
1931 Hanshaw Rd, IthacaWe have had many dogs over the years and have always felt uncomfortable leaving them when my wife and I traveled. We have had experience with many kennels and even dog sitting people. Over the last 7-8 years we have been boarding our dogs exclusively at Almost Home Dog Boarding. Our dogs have never seemed traumatized in any way when we pick them up.The discomfort of missing our dog for the period of time we are away is softened by the knowledge of how comfortable and happy our dog is at Almost Home. It is not just the physical differences from other kennels, it is the warmth and caring that Susan and Lee display every time without fail. If you love your dog, we highly recommend that you board them at Almost Home Dog Boarding.

Sweet Melissa's Ice Cream Shop
200 W Seneca St, IthacaCASH ONLY but amazing ice cream. Rotating homemade soft serve flavors and hard ice cream too. Don't bother with Purity--this is the true pinnacle of Ithaca ice cream. Also, you can stand across the street from a strange church and read the inscriptions.

Cup O’ Jo Café
40 Catherwood Rd, IthacaStopped in for lunch with my friend and we each got a Latte and a melt they had. Service was amazing, unfortunately I can't remember the servers name, but the lattes were delicious. Even though the barista was very busy, the food got there pretty quickly for being the only employee there at the time, and both the Southwest Melt and the Caprese melt were very appetizing. Would absolutely stop in to get lunch or breakfast for there or to go.

The Rook
404 W State St, IthacaFood is good (GET THE GRILLED SALMON!)! Ordered the grilled dates, grill salmon and cheeseburger (which comes with a generous amount of fries). Limited menu options means it's easy to choose what to eat and more likely that the food is good, which is exactly the case.Grilled dates comes in 3 pieces which is a bit awkward to share but it's good. Grilled salmon is perfection, crispy on the outside yet so tender on the inside, sauce goes really well with it. Cheese burger is simple but good, the bun is so soft, fries is just fries nothing special.Server is nice, keeps checking in and surprised that they would replace the cutlery after appetizer, but they did forget the knives so oh wells. Overall a very good experience and will definitely go back.

Red's Place
107 N Aurora St, IthacaBe prepared to get into a waiting list. The vibe was good but not super cool. It’s not too loud so you can enjoy talking beside the food.I tried the turkey breast sandwich and it was casual and fresh but not something really surprising. The portion size was medium if you are hungry don’t go for it. However, the red’s cocktail is also exciting to try out. 51$ for a sandwich, French fries, and 2 glass of cocktails. The staff care and pay attention to you if you want to call them.A good normal place that you can spend your casual time easily. But a bit expensive for a casual and a twice a week to go place.

Kimchi
124 E State St, IthacaKimchi is, quite possibly, my FAVORITE restaurant of ALL TIME. This place RULES. The staff are amazing! The food is amazing! They are literally always playing Ed Sheeran! This is a MUST TRY if you like Korean food. I can’t comment on authenticity, but it is delicious regardless. I will be coming here for as long as I live.Vegetarian options: Pretty solid vegetarian section of the menu. NOTE: kimchi may contain shrimp paste.Dietary restrictions: They are very attentive about dietary restrictions and can answer your questions if not conveyed.Parking: Use the city lot right by the bus station then walk into the commons to find it.
