Do Not Rent from this company. I had my things in a storage unit for 3 years, secure self storage sold to this company. Manager is Rude and Not Helpful. Did not contact me they had changed hands. Store Space charged me $177.20 for 2 days over. Will Not call you back, only respond by email. Take your belongings somewhere else where the Company Cares. Terrible experience glad they won't get anymore of my business Ever!!!!! Denise is the manager at the Ithaca location, Worthless!!!!!!!

They've recently changed to an automated menu on the phone for every function. I needed to talk to a person, and all I got was a clanker. Bad form.

Beware! Locked my stuff inside over a holiday weekend. They put in my code wrong and I couldn’t access my locker at all for three days. The staff is awful and unhelpful and tried to say it was my fault. Very unprofessional.

What a lovely experience! The manager was friendly and knowledgeable and helped me determine the correct size I needed (I had no clue!). I feel confident my belongings are safe here! If you are looking for storage, this is the place!

The customer service is terrible. I was charged two additional months after I had moved my belongings out and wasn’t issued a refund because of a fine print statement on the lease. This would be fine and I would have taken the blame for it if not for when I went in to actually sign the lease, I was rushed into it and not given nearly enough time to read any of it. If I spent longer than 45 seconds reading a page they would tell me to sign the corner and move on. When I called customer service to explain this to them, they were extremely rude and wouldn’t let me finish what I had to say, clearly not open to criticism and instead of saying “okay thank you for letting us know” they immediately went to defend whoever pressured me to sign the half read lease. If you really can’t avoid using this service for your storage, please take your time to read the lease because they will angrily rush you through it. For poc and lgbt customers, don’t even bother going here. They will treat you significantly worse. The only thing holding me back from giving a 1 star review was that at the very least their rooms were dry and acceptably clean.

We are having an excellent experience at Secure Self Storage in Ithaca. After searching around, we feel very fortunate these people had availability, as transitioning from moving cubes to storage was complex and we really appreciate their presence at the facility and the ease of communication. The people who work in the office are really nice, and we feel they gave us a nice welcome to Ithaca. One day we'll need to get our things out and into our new home, and I'm confident I can count on Secure Self Storage for a painless process. It's also a comfort that the place is locked up in the evenings, and well-plowed during snow storms.

There is an older fella that was very rude to a family member that was renting he threw the keys pretty much at us to unlock the unit and bring the keys and the lock back that was on the unit to him most places the staff takes people and unlocks it I wouldn't recommendthis place to anyone with the way that gentleman was toward myfamily member

Old guy on the phone is extremely rude and clueless. He talks like a caveman and doesn't give any help. I recieved an email saying I was being charged for the next month even though we had already moved out. I called to ask why I was being charged and he just repeated "closed" without explaining to me at all why I'm being charged
