Took my Nissan in for a P0101 code. They checked everything thoroughly and were very honest told me everything looked good and didn’t try to upsell or charge me just for an inspection. Really appreciate the transparency. Definitely recommend Taber Street Auto Repair.

Really kind and accommodating staff. I got a flat when I was driving nearby and they happily swapped the flat tire for the spare winter tire in my trunk by the end of the day. No charge!

Made appointment with Louis for a rear brake inspection. This Taber Auto appointment was triggered by inspection visit to a local Large Chain auto service location. Scouring local service stations on Google and Yelp I opted for the 4.9/5 390 votes google star, Taber Auto Ithaca NY. A very common feature for each review was the service quality, integrity and kindness of Louis. Louis answers the phone, follows up with each client, told me the truth and fixed my service issue. Today my rear brake job was completed after status updates throughout the morning from Louis. The job was completed under the EOD promise time, and Taber auto also completed my inspection. Louis went further to say he would have passed me before begining the work as my rear brakes were within allowable tolerances. Now I will visit Taber Auto for all of my repairs. A wise mentor once told me, people go where they are made to feel welcome and stay where they are treated well. Louis treated me well and I plan to stay with Taber Auto.

When I think of great customer service I get a mental picture of Lewis at Tabor St. Auto. Kind, respectful, thorough, explains opportunities that make sense. My wife and I always feel that we have been taken care of and NOT taken advantage of.

This is the place I recommend to all of my friends. They have helped get my older car back on the road after several significant maintenance and repair issues. Louis is very friendly and trustworthy. He doesn't try to sell anything unnecessary and gives fair estimates before work is done. As a younger woman who isn't experienced with car repair, it's extremely valuable to have a mechanic who respects you and does honest work.

Taber St Auto is by far the best auto repair shop we have used in the Ithaca area. All the guys are knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and as a whole go above and beyond. We have them work on everything (except the Volvo-that's Ithaca Foreign Car;-) ), from a classic'70 to VW and Chevy. They all seem to enjoy what they do and it shows with their creativity and workmanship.

What an honest shop!I've taken my vehicle here a few times now and will continue to call Taber Street Auto for all of my repair needs in the future. They do great work here. This use to be a stand up place with stand up guys. When they moved dudes switched up. They don't call you back, have any interest in scheduling you in and are always putting you on the back burner. Our money is good and green like anyone else. Found a great guy out of Binghamton. smh

On two recent occasions, we've needed urgent (day-of) auto help. Both times, Taber Street Auto were the only ones to squeeze us in, after we called mechanics all over town. On top of that, they quoted us better prices than any of their competitors, and their work was quick and effective. Even after our first visit they viewed us as "their customers" and made a special effort to take care of us. Honest and real life-savers in a pinch. We once left Taber Street Auto via Uber, only for the Uber driver to rave about how much he loved and trusted them, even keeping a stack of their cards to hand out. Our experiences have been more than positive: they've been a deep relief, and have forged a rock-solid faith in the honesty and reliability of this business.
