Fast and very friendly, wish I didn't wait 20 years to lease a car there.

Steer clear, I reached out about a week and a half ago with the intention to purchase a car, my current schedule didn't allow for me to make the 4 hours drive at this time. I had continually inquired and followed up with Sam Capozzi one of their sales consultants, I even had asked up until yesterday if I could do a paid hold on this vehicle. She said she has to inquire with a general manager. I go to check the car listing (which the price kept dropping on with no updates to me) come to find out the car I had been interested in was sent to auction 6 days ago, I'm glad I didn't make the 4 hour one way trip to this dealership to be bait and switched.

Everyone who works here is condescending and rude. When I walked into the dealership and said I was looking to test-drive, the first thing the sales manager said to me was "what color do you want?" I'm a woman, in my 30s. I'm not 12 years old. This was not my first car, nor was it my first decade of driving.Anyway, I test-drove a Jetta. (This location has VWs as well as Toyotas.) I couldn't tell you what color the it was, although it did handle very nicely. A sales associate rode along during the test drive and told me repeatedly what a great job I was doing at turning left across traffic and thinking to test the brakes on the car I was test-driving. I would like to once again emphasize that I'm an adult, with a driver's license, which you'd think would have been obvious to this sales associate. It's also worth nothing that I'd told him truthfully that I was looking for a replacement for the Jetta I'd already driven for 150k miles. When I said I wasn't sure looking to make a purchase that day, the sales associate said "is there anything we can do to win your heart, honey?" and -- when I continued to refuse -- added something about car buying being an "irrational decision."The 2023 Jetta did impress me, which is why I drove 90 minutes to the VW in Vestal and bought one there. Funny enough, this is almost exactly what happened in 2013. I test-drove a Jetta at Maguire, had a sales associate who only spoke to the male friend who had given me a ride to the dealership (even after my friend repeatedly tried to leave the conversation), and drove all the way to Rochester to buy the car I wanted from a sales team I actually trusted. Anyway, the 2023 Jetta's a great car: nice handling, excellent balance of torque and efficiency, and extremely safe without sacrificing a sporty feel. Buy one in Syracuse, if you're in the market.

I went to Maguire Toyota last year for my 5000 mile inspection. It was done ok, but registered with Toyota as 10000 mile inspection, which is giving me trouble now that I really need the real 10000 mile one.I do not recommend going there.

Purchased my first car ever from Steve Manos, a beautiful RAV4 Prime and I couldn't have had a better experience. I must have called every dealer on both coasts and all of them either charged markup or the waitlist was so long that they didn't even bother taking my info. Maguire sells at MSRP, no markup, no BS and they sell to out of state. You guys are world class, thanks again

Do not trust the workers here. They will steal stuff from your car. A buddy of mine got them on camera stealing his hitch receiver. Unbelievable! When he calls to speak to a manager he's given horrible attitudes and thrown around until he hits a dead end. These thieves need to be fired immediately.

2nd time to Maguire Toyota of Ithaca, both times for recalls. The first time they noticed my inspection was coming due, but I had to fix the horn for it to pass. They wanted over $150 for this repair. I said no thanks (my mechanic did it for half that). The most recent visit was for another recall. I had dropped the car off the night before, all was well with the car. The next morning I receive a call from service stating the tech noticed the check engine light was on (funny, it wasn't when I dropped it off), would I like them to run a diagnostic? No thanks, you'll just charge me $125 and "find something wrong". Later that day I picked the car up.....no check engine light! Nice try Maguire. I hear Fucillo follows this same business practice.

Took my car in for rodent damage. They jumped my car in reverse and blew all of the fuses. The most rookie mechanic mistake. After replacing my fuses, they completely neglect to check any other electrical systems and it turns out they completely fried my aftermarket stereo amplifier. Fun fact, I got to drive home halfway across the country in silence because of it. Begrudgingly, they agreed to pay for repairs by a third party. When I got my car back and checked their job, there was broken debris from the repair, like a half empty fuse box, rattling around in the engine compartment. They didn't even check. Seriously a pretty terrible job at quality control for a dealership. At 135 an hour, I would highly recommend going to an independent mechanic shop. Friendly staff doesn't matter when they mess up your car.

Needed to juice up our car and Maguire nicely has EV chargers out back available. Much appreciated.

I was sent there by a Technician who offered to replace a simple dashboard light bulb. I had the blown bulb in my hand expecting to buy one for ten dollars, as the Tech had been told on the phone while I stood nearby hearing the conversation. I walked into the Parts Department and a guy who was standing just out of sight 2 feet away from the counter and very likely had heard my greeting eventually looked at me like I was intruding, his glare and his expressions were weird. Another guy came from behind the wall and took responsibility for having been the one my Tech had spoken with. I showed him the bulb, he asked me which side of the display was dark, I told him, twice, he asked again and acted very confused. Felt like I was in the Twilight Zone, never did get a bulb. Glad there are more cometent people at another dealership a few miles away. It was very creepy, I felt disrespected and like they were playing head games with me. Beyond reasonable.
