“Today was our first visit with Cayuga Pet Hospital. We saw Dr. Wood and Liz. We had a great experience. Our dog is a rescue and needs time to feel comfortable. Dr. Wood gave us options for treatment and took alot of time with our dog Luna. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.”
“Everytime I have been here I have had an excellent expirence. Everyone is super friendly and always listen to my concerns and pay attention to the details. Prices are very reasonable for care and prescriptions. Highly reccomend!”
“Dr. Rhinehart and vet tech Carissa are fantastic! They take time with patients and people, are experienced, and communicate well. Plus Dr. Rhinehart went to Cornell Vet School, arguably best in the world ?”
“We are so grateful to Claire for walking us through the final days with our 14 year old dog. She is compassionate and provided the support we needed to make the decision to say goodbye to our dog. We can’t thank her enough.”
“Cornell is one of those places that seems scary as can be for owners with large animals because for years its synonymous with massive vet bills so often owners opt to not call them for help when they need it. That is a mistake. Cornell is capable of handling more than anywhere else, more efficiently than anyone else. There is a few things owners should know before sending an animal down for assesment. Diagnostics are quoted on arrival. You have to pay half to whole of that at that time to proceed. They can do care credit or cards. They have hearts. They want to do the best for the animal as well. When you have a horse in the hospital there, no news from the team isnt a bad thing. Thats a good thing. No news means stable and good. They are often dealing with emergencies and things that are critical and they usually call 2x a day (think of regular hospital rounds, it's the same). If you want to see your horse go down and see the front desk. They will help you. The ladies are amazing. We had a massive surgery done on our 6 year old gelding, and Cornell was the definition of amazing to work with. I would highly recommend them.”
“Hello to all cat and animal lovers! I am reaching out to all ~ I have been helping an outdoor cat that is homeless and in need of rescue by someone with a big heart. She's a black/white/tan longhair domestic kitty and appears to be around at least 10-11 years of age. She's around 7 or 8 lbs and in pretty decent condition and she desperately needs to get in out of the cold and to a loving family. She is situated outside of the maintenance shed at CARS, which is located at 6621 RT 227 in Trumansburg.
A very kind-hearted person got her a small warming hut for now, but with the frigid cold setting in, she absolutely needs a home!
To the SPCA or anyone who may be able and willing, PLEASE help her. Thank-You!”
“A special heart felt Christmas message to VCA Colonial Animal Hospital and Dr. Butler, DVM who saved our pup on an August 7th , 2025 ER visit. Her prognosis was not a good one for our Jake. Her Emergency treatment was live saving for him. Now four months following this event, we still have our happy boy….. That is my best Christmas gift this season. Jake is one fighter and we want to wish everyone at VCA Colonial ……. Merry Christmas”
“Lovely clinic! They had a continuous stream of cat treats for my anxious cat that made the appointment go so much smoother than any previous vet visit. Highly recommended :)”
