I don’t usually leave reviews, but I have to for Bombay Sari and Fabric House. I went for a custom sari for my wedding. It came back absolutely botched. The construction and sticking was abysmal, and it was covered in chalk that bled through every seam. After they had it further altered it was even worse!! Completely unwearable. Right before my wedding I had to have the outfit remade which was costly and stressful. They didn’t really care or try to make it right. Gave so many defenses for why they did if the way they did instead of apologizing. I will NEVER go to this store again.

I came to this store first before I got referred to their other store called Aura Designs in Long Island. I had one of the best shopping experiences working with Savita. She is a professional in what she does and is very sweet. My husband and I were in a rush to find a custom design before our destination wedding. Savita made it happen in time! I will definitely be coming back here in the future! See our outfits here: Youtube: Sujan & Ridwana

Do not go to this tailor. I brought in a Pakistani dress I was wearing to a wedding and they completely botched it. The dress was a two piece, top and bottom. The top was supposed to be altered so that the waist would be tighter. But instead they took the zipper out of my top when I didn't ask to, made the chest part sooo tight that I couldn't even get the top over my head, didn't make the waist tight enough, and just did an overall terrible stitching job. Idk which tailor did this but wouldn't recommend this place at all. You're probably better off taking your stuff to all the other tailors in Jackson heights.

Had my first sari made here and the sari bottom/skirt-only tailoring service was about $75 (I had my own fabric). I dropped off my fabric, had my measurements taken, and paid the same day. My sari skirt was ready in less than a week and it looks great! I would recommend Bombay Bridal Boutique to have saris made, but they are very expensive for alterations. I had a kurta that was too big but the cost to have it hemmed and altered to fit was quoted at $70.

I visited the location on Jamaica Avenue. Walking in, it immediately feels different from the other stores you'll find selling Indian outfits. For one, you actually have room to walk and think. There is no overcrowding, no yelling between store associates, and no funky smells that greet you at the door. The customer service was also spot on. While there isn't an abundance of inventory, Casey knows the items he does have in store. The outfits are quality pieces at reasonable prices. The store is clean and organized in such a way that makes it inviting to stay and browse. Casey also was not pushy in forcing a sale which made it very easy for my entourage and I to purchase multiple outfits and accessories. I'd recommend checking out Bombay Bridal if you need new Indian attire.

I came here multiple times to get some last minute outfits tailored for both me and my boyfriend. Savita, the owner, is so kind, patient, and has very good taste. She's extremely knowledgeable and was able to point out what was wrong with the stitching and tailoring on multiple outfits I brought in. The work is done impeccably and this store has a beautiful selection of outfits and is high quality. Savita's husband is also incredibly nice and even found me a pair of salwaar pants that perfectly matched an outfit I brought in. Very friendly people and highly recommend coming to this store if you are in need of fancy mens or womenswear.

I had to go to a wedding. The first day was an Indian wedding and the second day was your typical (wyppo) wedding. So decadant! Anyway, I needed some traditional Indian formal attire for a man. I was helped quickly, given options, and the man who helped me was able to work within my limited price range. Awesome! Also, the threads I got are dope, so I'm excited for my next Indian wedding, so I can wear them again.

I went to Bombay Bridal to get a Kurta and a Sherwani for my brother's wedding. I walked in and met Sunny who showed me what he had is stock, which I was fine with but not in love with. Sunny then asked me what I wanted and offered to have custom clothes made in India. He helped me design both outfits to my liking, was transparent on pricing, and delivered on time. The outfits looked fantastic and I am very happy with my purchase. I sent a few friends to get clothes for the same wedding to Sunny and he helped them find outfits that they liked as well. All in all, a great selection and a great experience. I will be going back to Sunny for any additional Indian clothes that I need in the future.

I came here looking for an outfit to attend an upcoming wedding. So many beautiful options - saris, lenghas, anarkalis! And accessories to go with them. Sridevi was particularly helpful in bringing out options and working with my price range. Would definitely come back for any future events.

Great customer service and paid attention to what I was asking for. It did take a couple times/trips to get it right but they were willing to work with me and adjust as needed
