Horrible service. I waited 1 hour and 20 mins for the branch manager to tell me he couldn't help me. Then claimed he would call me the next day after discussing my matter with legal and never did. Don't go to this branch for help. They'll just waste your time!

I was happy with Citibank until they offered me a $1000.00 promotion if I opened a checking account with a $75k deposit for 90 days. 180 days have passed and the have not honored the terms of the promotion. They gave me nothing and I actually lost money that could have been earning interest in a high yield CD. Citibank customer service as well as the branch employees could not explain anything. Citibank was a waste of time and money.

i am dropping td bank as my primary bank as customer service quality has dropped the last couple of years and dumping the self service coin machines didnt help . citibank is now my number one bank for my banking needs and the branch in astoria is very good for personal customer service. the lobby foyer area is well kept and has plenty of easy to use atm machines and the main entrance has a customer service rep ready to help and to the left is the line to do banking biz with a teller. i went in person to get a change of address and order check refills and the gal customer rep was extremely nice and helpful. good citibank branch in astoria , td bank sorry you have been let go from the being my number one.

Convenient location and plenty of ATMs to use. Been with Citi for many years and I don't plan on changing anytime soon!

I was told to wait 15 minutes to speak to someone, so I waited patiently after putting my name down. 20 minutes after a man came in and started talking in Greek to a manager I assume, who told him to wait so the man put his name down under mine. But then the manager took him in before me knowing I was waiting. I waited another 25 minutes and yet I didn't receive any apology or explanation for why someone who came after me was taken care of before me so I left. This branch doesn't deserve my business.

I bank with the Citibank Private Bank, and have done so since the Private Bank was created. The service is as good as anyone could expect it to be.

For as busy, crowded, confusing and aggravating as this branch is I have to admit that anyone that I've had to deal with that works at this branch like banker Steven who works behind the desk and open accounts or the gal who is a teller or the girls who take your name down they are all very nice and very accommodating. My trip here I needed to speak to someone like Steve it was a 40 minute wait and I think I was the only person who spoke English. Every line weather was for the teller the ATM or to speak to a banker was 20/25 people deep. It was insane. This branch is definitely not one for me, but I'm sure that any of the employees there would be incredibly accommodating and professional and with all the stress they are under with all the people there from Open till close they really stay incredibly professional and in control. I never saw any of them be rude or disrespectful. And for as busy as this bank is that takes talent.

I am pulling my money out of Citibank. This location put me through something without my consent and I am now being charged a fee that cannot be waived. First off: This location has never been great- I've had a couple minor hiccups before simply because of language barriers (the associates are hired catering to the location demographics so they usually speak their native language better than English.) If you are only English speaking, like me, I urge to avoid this location. Also, I don't know why but the lines are always out the door. Be prepared to be waiting for at least 30 min. Today, I walked in to withdraw some cash. I had left my debit card at home but had proper ID and other Citibank credit cards on me so I asked the associate if there is any way I can still withdraw cash. The associate asks for the amount I'm looking to withdraw, takes my ID and credit card (Citicard) and tells me to wait a moment. He then goes to the drawers behind the counter and pulls out something that looks like a banker's manual. My best guess- he was looking up how to process this. He then tells me to write my social on a paper and tried entering it on his computer multiple times. (I think he told me the social security # was not valid but I couldn't really understand him...) I guess it finally went through after a few tries (during that time he was rather unkind to me) and he gave me a record sheet to sign. On the sheet, I couldn't tell which account he took the money out of so I asked him, "Is this from checking or savings?" To that he answered, "It's from your mastercard- it's cash advance." I asked, "How does that work?" and he answered, "you just pay it." Confused, I sign the paper. Now, I've never done a cash advance before.. so I didn't know what he meant... but I NEVER asked for a cash advance. Nor did the associate give me an option to choose to take a cash advance. He did not explain a single thing before he gave me my cash, including the fact that cash advances INCUR A HIGH FEE. After he gave me my social security number, ID and credit card back, he walked into the backroom so I couldn't ask anymore questions. Later on, I called Citibank customer service to clarify what that was and if there were any fees. The representative confirmed that my recent cash advance had indeed incurred a fee of 5% which in this case summed up to be a pretty large amount (large for me at least!) So.. the associate basically went ahead and did a cash advance transaction for me WITHOUT giving me a choice. Customer service over the phone was non sympathetic and kept on repeating handbook responses to me. I could tell the representative just wants to get paid and doesn't care about how to improve customer relations. In the end the representative named Wayne said, "well if you show your credit card, the guy is going to give you a cash advance." Really, Wayne? He's not going to first ask me if that's what I would like to proceed with?

This is a very busy branch. But Costormer service is way way behind here. Far to few staff incl tellers Costormer service desk to acomendating the demand from Citi Banks customers in this location. Be prepared to wait and wait and then wait some more before you choose to bank at this location. TD Bank is a million times better when it comes to customer service related treatments.

Short staffed. Long lines...out the door. Messy. Disorganized. Too small for the amount of consumer traffic. Makes you want to bank somewhere else.
