I've been renting here for years. Janet, the "fast break manager", keeps the counter running well through the car rental version of rain sleet & snow, & has a handle on the yard as well. Janet goes above & beyond for not only the regular customers, but for every customer that comes through. If a customer has a problem, Janet will solve it. The yard workers are mostly great too, & the even the security guards are great, very friendly. Car rental is strictly a custoenr service proposition, & Janet makes the customer service at the JFK location a sure thing. T Top & Jeff are a great part of the counter team .

They closed early, left me and my family without a car last night. Hours are until 11:30pm. I was on the AirTrain over and at their locked up, lights-out doors at 11:05pm. Just closed. I have a reservation, for months. I popped into the office next door and they said "Oh, Hertz covers for Budget when they close early!" They do not. I am 99% sure thta young lady and the 5 other folks all hanging out having fun at Alamo was the Budget and Alamo crew just chilling and they had closed out as I was likely the last person on their schedule. Whatever. Wait in line at Hertz for 20 minutes, say "I hear you cover for Budget when they close." "Uhh, no." Long story short, Hertz helped me, got a decent car at a good rate on the fly for Thanksgiving week. Called Budget an the help line, very nice by the way, to make sure I didn't get a late fee for cancelling (due to them not being there!) and it didn't look like they charged me. Ultimately, she couldn't help me or explain why their team left early. Unknown if they will try and screw me on the canx charge. Don't rent from here if you have a light flight. Unreliable that they will be there or not.

Horrible service..... Waited over a half hour for a car to be cleaned. Customer service people are rude...... Walk to your destination before you rent from this Budget...

Ray was absolutely amazing!! Give that man a raise he was awesome. We were in line for 30 minutes with 20 people in front of us at dollar and decided to go over to budget and Ray got us in and out in ten minutes

Waiting for an hour for a reservation we made. Rude and lazy staff. Bathroom is absolutely disgusting but there's no where else to go as we are forced to wait. Zero explication of why we are still sitting here waiting.

Place is hot garbage . Worst customer experience Ive ever had. Over 30 people in line only three people working the counter then one dude just says I'm clocking out and left his two coworkers to struggle with the long line. Took 2 hrs to get through the line then wait for my car. Horrible experience would rather have watched paint dry. All the other reviews are pretty spot on. Car was fine but everything else terrible 1 star only cuz I cant give zero

worst customer service I have ever had. while waiting line I watched as customer after customer came back because of issues they had with the car they where given. while trying to get a rental the man helping was so nasty I cancelled my reservation and went next door! absolute trash!!

I had a reservation. There was only one person at the counter, so it took me 30 to 40 min to be helped. They said that my car would not be ready for 30-45 min unless I paid for an upgrade. Ripoff. At least the guy at the counter was nice.

If I could give a zero, I would. As a follow up to my previous review, we have now gotten our bill. $1700 for a carolla for 6 days. Yes, $300 a day. I have email confirmation it would be $1100. Nothing like charging 50% more than the original quote. DONT GO NEAR THIS RENTAL COMPANY UNLESS YOU DONT MIND PAYING 50% MORE THAN YOU EXPECTED
