This staff is horrible. If you are Black and have money I would avoid. You can tell the store management doesn't care about the staff nor the company itself. They clearly just hire anyone and don't take the time to provide consistent training/development nor did they take the time to hire quality workers. 6 sales associates all black and Hispanic huddled up in the middle of the ground floor in a huge store location (3 floors). Not 1 took the time to engage the entire time I was in the store. I walked by 1 who was texting and didn't even look up or anything. This type of behavior is really disappointing especially in 2024 and shouldn't be the standard for NYC but it is. These companies hire anyone with an open schedule and they think they are just cashiers. They only engage when you are checking out. Then many of these workers come in with their own biases toward customers.

Although this store is in a poshey location unfortunately they didn't go with the right staff to run the store.. felt very uncomfortable shopping here because every time you grab something to look at it you would be either stared or yelled at for touching an item.. would never shop here again unfortunately.

Customer service worst ever. Employees have zero customer training. Zero product knowledge, rude. Shame that people like this represent the brand. Manager, what a waste of my time. She needs to work at fast food as her presence and quality of customer service equals that.

I was going to do some much-needed retail therapy and Xmas shopping. As I was approaching the store entrance I bumped into my personal clients who work in the area. They WARNED me NOT to visit HUGO BOSS COLUMBUS CIRCLE location as a HORRIBLE person TONY GS/ ANTONIO works at this branch. TONY is known as a NUISANCE PROBLEMATIC NASTY DRUNK at many establishments in Hell's Kitchen (including mine) and recently banned. Tony starts fights (verbally, physically and have even spat on people which is assault) TONY's pattern is he would either start an altercation with his own friends. random patrons, or the establishment's employees literally PER VISIT for years. His DESPICABLE BEHAVIOR, DISORDERLY CONDUCT, ACCUSATIONS, SLANDER, HARRASMENT to all around him is plain DISGUSTING & UNACCEPTABLE. When he gets kicked out of an establishment instead of taking ACCOUNTABILITY for his wrongdoing, he writes BASELESS FALSE NEGATIVE REVIEWS, CRIES DISCRIMINATION, ACCUSATION OF RACISM, and FALSE ACCUSATIONS against the venue as it's a front for illegal activities. A REPUTABLE brand like HUGO BOSS SHOULD NOT have a person as such representing your brand. Unlike his cowardly ways and not taking ACCOUNTABILITY for his DESPICABLE ways. There are ACTUAL CAMERA FOOTAGES of his DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR plus many patrons complaints against TONY GS. HE NEEDS TO BE FIRED as TONY GS would say himself while drunk provoking a fight with any random patrons or staff member and then taking pictures of them when they have their backs turned. HUGO BOSS should not condone or tolerate any employees who exhibit classlessness, pettiness, or public vindictive disorderly conduct,

I just moved to the neighborhood, so I found that this Boss location is still opened at the time I'm going home from work. I decided to pick up a few pieces to assemble for my early morning meeting on the next day. On November 1 @7:25pm. I walked into this location in The Shops at Columbus Circle. A young gentleman greeted me. I asked him where is the women's department. As he was pointing to the elevator to show me how to get up to the 3rd floor, the Asian female employee interrupted and said the women's department is closed. At the moment I thought she meant the department is closed for good and now their only operating department is the mens. I was disappointed but since I was there I also wanted to see the men's cap that I've liked e admiredfrom their window display. I said to the gentlemen I like to take a look of the particular item. A female employee stepped in to help, I pointed to her the particular cap from the window, I said to her that I'd like to feel the material and try on the fitting for myself since it's men cap. Besides her lack of interest in my request she also wasn't able to tell me the color of the embroidery on that cap (it was hard to tell under the track lights). After much persuasion she went to the stock room and came back with another style which I didn't like and said to me the one in the window is not for sale and that I cannot try it on - which I understood. I wouldn't mind to order a new one online (which I would prefer anyway) but I said to her I'd like to at least feel the material and see the color of the embroidery clearly before I place an order online. At that time 4 staff members were on the floor, and I was the only customer there. I felt both female employees brushing me off with their attitude, zero eye contact when talking to me during the entire shopping experience. I couldn't help but ask them are they closing now?? Both ladies stood together said to me: very soon, in about 20 mins. I thought to myself you still have 20 minutes and don't want to help a customer and make an additional easy sale? Apparently they didn't seem to care. I Left this place Furious from their customer service. After I left , my instinct told me to read their reviews. I found one review that was posted only 4 months ago. A customer did visit the women department in the same location. So they do have women department, it got me even more upset that I had to walk back to the store to ask for a manager's card. Then the female staff explained to me that no one is working upstairs at this time and that's why no one can help me and suggested me to come back another day. Excuse me?? I need a wardrobe for tomorrow's meeting and this is the only Boss female departments around, you are going to turn down a potential customer, when there were 4 employees on the floor with no other customer in the store? Both female employees were with horrendous attitude toward me during my visit and couldn't wait for me to leave. I turned over to the gentleman kindly asked him for a business card and for the names of the two female employees who refused to help me, the whole time they stood behind me while I was asking for the name , she couldn't given me her name. Notes: I am a business owner myself. Rude customer service with an attitude like that has no place in such environment, especially in a company like Boss. The names I got for those two female employees were Dill and Kim. I need to bring this rude experience to the store director James Arndt. You need to know I will not return to this location. Those two women's attitude toward me already ruined my desire to shop in your store. I will find my way to reach out to the HR department and report this horrendous experience.

I never EVER review places, but this place takes the cake. My partner had a wonderful experience in this store until it was ruined by Tony. He shouldn't be working in any customer facing job - absolute disgrace. Attempting to call the store line just results in someone immediately hanging up on you. If you want clothes here and don't enjoy abuse, just walk to the nordstrom nearby. Pathetic.

Had a fantastic experience at this store. I also had my suit tailored for a perfect fit. My alterations were done on time and ready to be picked without any issues.

Worst customer service. Purchased a sale item that was shipped to the wrong address. Called immediately and was told to call back as the order had not processed. When I called back I was told that once the order processed there is no way to correct the error until it's In the hands of UPS. When it was picked up UPS choice said that the shipper would not allow the change. I called HB back and was told that they can't make any changes. The item was sent back to them undeliverable and now it's no longer available to buy because it's sold out. Their customer service is a collection of very polite and nice of useless do nothings. What's the point of a customer service agent if they cannot correct something as simple as an incorrect address. Unreal

Before the pandemic I came to the Boss Store to return a Hugo Boss jacket that had a small tear on the lining inside (defective manufacturing). When I showed the then manager (not sure of his name) he denied the return and said I must contact customer service in Germany! Keep in mind this was 4 days after I bought it and had not removed any tags let along wear it once. Needless the say, he never accepted the return but was fortunate to have the Hugo Boss store in Soho provide the assistance I needed. I seldom returned to the Columbus circle store ever since. Today, I suppose there is a new manager named Roxanna (or Roxanne?). I had a similar problem with a pant that had some defective stitching and was forced to go back to Columbus circle as I couldn't make it to Soho that day. No questions asked, she accepted the return, and was pleasant about the whole experience. It was comforting to see that her interest was in the best of the customer, and less of the store's business. Needless to say, she is the reason I will return for more Boss-wear. Thank you so much!

Shop has a nice selection, but unfortunately that's the only positive thing. This store is a great example of why retail locations are dying. I prefer shopping in person when I can but would never do so here again. Rude staff - seemed annoyed that I was there though empty store during holidays. Purchased a blouse, which I was informed could not be returned since on sale. That evening get an email from hugo boss and visit their site. The blouse I bought and other items I considered were 20% lower than their own store price, and with no return restrictions (and free shipping). I called the store and was connected to same salesperson, who was annoyed but agreed to match their own online price but only if I came in physically same week (despite me explaining lived over an hour away). Said would only adjust if he was there (so guess if I travel an hour and on break I am out of luck?). This store doesn't want you here so save yourself time, money and frustration and shop online.
