Not sure if it’s a race or race & gender thing but please be aware of this place. Thieves and liars work there. 4 separate times I have went to cash my check here and 4 times constantly they have purposely given me back the wrong amount. Either they are a few dollars short or a few cents short. The second time the lady was a whole $100 short! When confronted they try to act confused & make it seem like you’re being confrontational. 1 & twice is a mistake but 4 times is no coincidence! Check your receipt and be careful there!!!
Really hope it isn’t a targeted thing based on race or gender. But regardless it’s very wrong to prey on ppls hard earned money!!!

I just went to PLS at 14615 Jamaica Ave, Jamaica NY 11435. I was about to send money to my country through RIA, since this establishment operates both RIA and PLS, and I wanted to take advantage of the rise in the dollar. I explained to one of the agents that I wanted to send $2,500 plus $23 for the sending fee. I was planning to pay with my debit card, but the agent told me that if I paid in cash, I could avoid the $3 card fee.
I went to the nearby ATM, but I couldn’t withdraw that amount due to an error with the machine. I went back to the establishment and explained that I couldn’t get cash, that I was okay with paying the $3 fee, and to charge the full amount to my card. The agent charged me $26. —$3 for the card fee and $23 for the sending fee—and after charging that, she asked me for the $2,500 in cash.
I told her that I couldn’t withdraw cash, which is obviously why I was paying the $3 fee, and then she illogically responded that she thought I only wanted to pay the $23 fee with the card and the rest in cash. According to her, that's how people usually do it. Then, a tall guy with a clueless look—also clearly lacking any intellect—told me that the agent knew what she was doing.
The result was that I couldn’t send the money, and I was robbed of $3 for a service they never actually provided. I do not recommend this place to anyone, as their service is mediocre.

I like to dine at this place because it is clean and they also speak Spanish. Today I am happy because I was finally able to get my card. The girl who helped me and her supervisor were very kind, Jeny and Wendy.
