Hector Ortiz was an amazing driver who was very patient with us. We weren’t completely finished packing, we had a few last minute items and he was very understanding and waited for us to finish and even gave us some tips to help us pack things and make room for all our stuff. He’s a fantastic driver and made the whole process a lot less stressful!

Not at all satisfied with POD! Container could not be delivered to my home; was not told this when setting up initial services. City Services called after 2 days of no delivery of the container to my home. I had to rent a UHAUL truck and unload container at their warehouse!Added expenses. Lost approximately $325! That I did not budget for!!

[Disclaimer] - My review is of the online customer service and their responsiveness, NOT of the workers at this facility in particular. They helped me out a lot and alleviated an extremely chaotic situation.I used PODS for a cross country move and storage solution.My first major complaint is that, unlike every other container company, PODS does not include any moving blankets in their pods to help pad furniture when I know everyone else does.Because of PODS terrible backend and consumer-facing software, my account fell into a state of error that persisted for months. When I called to schedule my self-unloading of my POD, the customer service representatives assured me multiple times I would be all good to go on the date I indicated.When I arrived at the facility with my movers, the on-site manager told me I was an "off the books" customer. This is a frequent scenario due to their terrible, buggy software where I wasn't even registered on their end, and the pod wouldn't be available to unload for over a week later.I was forced to pay the movers a cancellation fee and reschedule to when there was availability to unload at the site.When I submitted a claim seeking reimbursement for the moving fee, I was assured the process would take a week, max, for their "internal investigation."It has been over TWO MONTHS and I still have not even heard fro my case agent, Lindsey. She has responded to almost none of my emails, does not return phone calls and has been "out of the office" for over two weeks with no cover in place.If you want a stress-free cross-country moving and storage solution, PODS is not the company for it. I will never use their services again, and I encourage people to seek competing quotes and offers at other, more reliable companies.

On 7/06/23 we had a pick up of a Pod container. The driver was incompetent and tried for over an hour to secure the Pod. He was unable to secure the Pod and in the process ran the machinery into our car port and destroyed our gutters. We have been trying since then to get reimbursed for the damage the driver caused. A month ago we were told we would receive a check in about 2 weeks but the check never came. We have been trying to reach the Pod customer advocate assigned to our claim for the last two weeks to find out what is going on but after leaving multiple voice messages to Tia we have not gotten one return call. I guess Small claims court is our next option.

Manuel Serrano was our driver and he expertly maneuvered on a busy road and made everything super accessible for us. I am very happy he was our pods delivery person. Excellent work!

The company I used to load my belongings in Florida did a great job. My stuff was in mint condition after being in storage for nearly a year. The company that unloaded my belongings in New York was lacking. A big pet peeve is having a "newbie" moving my items. It was very clear that one third of the team had no experience. On top of that I Zelle them $200 tip thinking they were going to do something spectacular. BIG LET DOWN on the NEW YORK side. The leader of the team kept mentioning he had over a decade of experience in unloading items. Yet 15% of my items had to go to junk because they could not get it upstairs into the attic or even past the first flight of stairs.

I needed to store my son's belongings. He thought he had a local storage unit and it fell through. I have used PODS in the past and decided to give a call. They were quick to help with a quote and the solution. They showed up when they said they would and got the job done.

Update: still the worst!!! There is always a problem and it always needs hours on the phone to resolve.AVOID AT ALL TIMES!!!!This review does not represent this location but the company as a whole.While in Chicago this January I was recommended to use Pods...From the beginning the representatives made mistakes that cost me money and forced me to stay in Chicago longer than necessaryIt's now March 10th.....still no resolution from Pods....I call almost every day without ever getting a return call ....same for email....They claim to assign my case to a specialist that never calls back and now I am on my 3rd specialist who I have yet to hear fromNever ever use this company.....Waiting for a resolution....then will update my review

Horrible company. Have wasted countless hours of mine waiting on hold (for 2 months now) and still no answers.They have taken over $300 more than what they quoted me out of my bank account.I would not use this company at all, if there is ever an issue they will not be there to help resolve it.Very unprofessional. Every step of the way and experience has been nothing but aggravating and miserable.

You can't get a quote without calling. They really waste time on the phone with info that is not necessary. The quote they give is SUPER HIGH. Hiring a moving company and having them do everything is likely much cheaper.
