Jamaica Center – Parsons/Archer Station
Jamaica Center is one of the most convenient and well-connected transportation hubs in Queens. The station is clean, well-lit, and easy to navigate, even during busy times. It serves as a major link between the subway, buses, and the AirTrain to JFK, making it perfect for both daily commuters and travelers. Trains run frequently, and the MTA staff are generally helpful and responsive.
The surrounding area has really improved in recent years, with plenty of stores, restaurants, and services nearby. You can grab coffee, food, or essentials right outside the station before continuing your trip. The location also feels safe and active thanks to the steady flow of commuters and local shoppers.
Jamaica Center is not just a transit stop — it’s the heart of downtown Jamaica, a place full of culture, energy, and community pride. Whether you’re transferring to the Long Island Rail Road, heading to JFK Airport, or exploring Queens, this station makes travel simple and efficient. It’s a true example of how a busy urban hub can still feel organized, accessible, and welcoming.”
“I purchased a ring that my wife could not live without of course. Of course she wanted some changes to make it hers. And Green Acres Jewelry did a fantastic job not only did they do a fantastic job in a timely manner, they mailed it to my house way before the anniversary day making her day. This was a great purchase and so easy to deal with very Good communication and easy to work with. I recommend everyone.”
“Nice place to go to shop for some bare essentials, found it nicely kempt and overall just a positive shopping area to go and take care of usual errands while at the same time enjoying the area and shops.”

“Very nice, Target. Nice atmosphere well stocked food section, lots of varieties of different brands. Also, many registers open early. That was really great! Children clothing very very nice.”
“5th Avenue comes to queens. Fine shops, very manicured, stylish grounds with all kinds of amenities that include wool blankets and heated seats for year-round comfort. Interesting architecture and public spaces complete with games: Checkers, chess, and ping pong. There are even concierge services, so you don't have to carry your bags of shopping.”

“One of the few “flat malls” you will find in NYC. Plenty of parking, restaurants, a large supermarket, liquor stores, and other kinds of shops and offices. Just north of Northern Blvd and not far from the BQE.”

“This is closer to 3.5 stars but I rounded up because of City Fresh and the recent helpful addition of Echo Drugs.
The other options here aside from Bel Aire Diner aren't very useful, consistent or high quality. Whoever owns this needs to find a commercial tenant to replace the old Petco place. The Post Office quality of service varies by season. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's terrible. Starbucks is now also vacant so they need to make use of that space.”
“There is a new accountant office inside this mall, which is highly recommended. It's called Sanchez llc. Pablo Sánchez is an excellent, trustworthy, and very kind person. The office manager, Martha, is awesome as well.
110% recommended.”
“What can I say about Gateway. Lots of parking space. Multiple stores and growing. To name a few JCPenney's, Pier 1, BJ's, Old Navy, Stop & Shop, Home Depot, Marshalls, Olive garden Target, Petco,Etc.”
“I don't understand the negative reviews for the parking. There are many signs (five in fact) that clearly state DO NOT LEAVE THE PREMISES WITH OUT YOUR CAR IT WILL BE TOWED, Its really not fair to the businesses in the center to leave a one star review because you felt so entitled to park, leave the lot and patronize another store. I don't know anywhere where that is appropriate, its akin to me visiting your neighbors house and parking in your driveway cause theirs was full.

“Not Your Mother's. Great sports bar. Good vibes, awesome staff. Had a part-timer 1st day there today & he was incredible. Fast, efficient & respectful service. Dessert apple tart a la mode. Awesome. Apps- get the BBQ pulled pork quesadilla, Philly cheese steak eggroll & Pretzels with cheese beer sauce. Incredible all around!”
“Love this place. It is such a beautiful supermarket or marketplace? It is like a work of art. Wonderful customer service, employees are friendly and informative. Highly recommended, stop by, take a look.”
“I grew up behind this mall and it has changed a lot since the eighties. It has improved nicely. The parking lot is freshly paved and painted. The stores have changed as well. A new Target is open, I will be checking it out soon. All in all this place looks good.”
“It's a real Bayside neighborhood shopping center!!! A lot of stores closed due to COVID, but it still has a lot of places that are conveinient to go to if you're from the neighborhood or just passing through.”
“Very well stocked, easy to shop. very clean. Do you want meat, fish,
salad or vegetables, cherries, or pieces of fruit, cake or pie, fresh bread and rolls every canned or boxed soup, on and on. Also, every ethnicity and nationality is covered (Italian, Middle Eastern, Spanish, Mexican, German, Kosher, etc.) Let’s go shopping at a great supermarket.”

“Very good services and very attentive to all movements in these areas. I recommend it to all my family, friends, neighbors and acquaintances. Only to get to the restaurant they must go by train ?, taxis ?, or Uber. ?”
“Frequent shopper at Marshall's. Great place to shop and look around to find many treasures. Best is the dog snacks and items. And I can bring my dog best thing ever.”
“New store alert!! Downstairs of busy mall opened a new store with Korean style clothing and cute dresses!! It’s very clean design and the owner is very helpful in giving you tips to what outfits matches you! Prices are reasonable and quality of the clothes are very good!!”

“It's a pretty convenient place to do quick errands. they have a they have a jewelry store, a Rainbow clothing store, sneaker store, nail salon ,a beauty supply store , a Chase Bank and a Key Food supermarket. There's also a small liquor store(which is not ghetto looking at all) a convenience store and a few eateries. The bathroom is upstairs and it's generally pretty clean .you have a security on hand, and also there's a Rite Aid pharmacy right before entering the the mall, but it's adjoining the mall, a huge parking lot, with unlimited parking. there's also a post office, there's also a store that sells Bed and bathroom supplies such as kitchen and bathroom towels curtains Etc and a tool supply store. The shopping center overall is really clean and neat no rollerblading no loud music and also no skateboarding is allowed inside. Not a bad place to get some errands ran will quickly, along with getting a bite to eat.
UPDATE... RITE AID IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.. THERE'S WALGREENS ACROSS THE STREET ON THE CORNER OF BAISLEY AND GUY R BREWER BLVD..there's also a small mom and pop pharmacy inside the mall (which has been there for years). The Bed and Bathroom store is no longer there but joined hands with the discount store and is now selling limited choices. I missed the standing alone store, nevertheless if you need something for your bathroom quickly that can be a choice. Aunt Annie's recently opened within the mall.”
“This has been my best-kept secret—until now. The cat’s out of the bag. This little area has everything I need at the last minute, all in one trip. I don’t have to run around town to shop for myself or my family.
One tip: avoid going around 3 PM when school lets out. The kids can get pretty wild while waiting for the bus, especially the 5 bus. Grab a snack and get comfortable—you’ll be standing there for a while. Honestly, you could walk to Manhattan and back and the same people would still be waiting when you return.
Other than that, go on weekends or during school hours and you’ll have a very pleasant shopping experience at the Shops at Bruckner.

“Still a bustling center of the neighborhood, with many stores, restaurants and even a few entertainment features, such as VR experiences and themed photo booths.”
“This little mall, if you can call it that, is similar to the New World Mall next door. It is small, just one floor, but there is a very good tailor as well as shoe repair guy in the back. Tina's Tailors Inc. is stall B7. This location is a bunch of tiny stalls with vendors selling things from wigs, clothing, children's clothing, jewelry and accessories, as well as you can take your things to get repaired, hemmed or altered.”
“Myself and husband love to visit and shop. The mall experience is very nice. Clean environment, parking is available. We have specific stores we go to and each and every time we go and shop, it's yet another great memorable experience.”
“The service in the stores is much better than the same stores in Manhattan. My only regret is the lack of benches to sit near Starbucks, where there is a space with huge windows. I sat on the only bench there but was reprimanded by a very unfriendly security guard.”
“If you are a southeast asian travelling to NY, I would recommend looking for places to stay near this area. The food aren't the exact match to our pellet but definitely some fire chinese foods within the food court!”
“The Can Can do team. As a kid I always think of the old commercials and to this day it always stays in the back of your head that they were always there to see you grow in life. Staple for most items. There Boars Head section is phenomenal.”
“Very crowded, parking lots are busy, but car exchanges go on all the time. That place has different types of businesses, so far I used Trader Joe's and Staples and I am satisfied with both of them.”
“This plaza is where you can get a quick bite to eat, do some shopping, and then head home. Went there many times and the new addition of Five Below, and Chipotle is a great addition.”
“I only gave it five stars because it has the UPS store along with a lot of other businesses HOWEVER the parking sucks although it's a nice decent size people act like they don't know how to drive or be considerate and because it's on hillside and Jamaica Ave it's a lot of traffic consider going early whatever time the store that you trying to visit opens”
“This is a very nice calm spacious shopping area. I can enjoy my little one B-day here. In door playground. I could even shop at Dollar Tree. Kool! They even have Petland and more.”
