You can grab coffee, food, or essentials right outside the station before continuing your trip. The location also feels safe and active thanks to the steady flow of commuters and local shoppers.

“5th Avenue comes to queens. Fine shops, very manicured, stylish grounds with all kinds of amenities that include wool blankets and heated seats for year-round comfort. Interesting architecture and public spaces complete with games: Checkers, chess, and ping pong. There are even concierge services, so you don't have to carry your bags of shopping.”

“One of the few “flat malls” you will find in NYC. Plenty of parking, restaurants, a large supermarket, liquor stores, and other kinds of shops and offices. Just north of Northern Blvd and not far from the BQE.”
“There is a new accountant office inside this mall, which is highly recommended. It's called Sanchez llc. Pablo Sánchez is an excellent, trustworthy, and very kind person. The office manager, Martha, is awesome as well.

“What can I say about Gateway. Lots of parking space. Multiple stores and growing. To name a few JCPenney's, Pier 1, BJ's, Old Navy, Stop & Shop, Home Depot, Marshalls, Olive garden Target, Petco,Etc.”

“I grew up behind this mall and it has changed a lot since the eighties. It has improved nicely. The parking lot is freshly paved and painted. The stores have changed as well. A new Target is open, I will be checking it out soon. All in all this place looks good.”

“"I've been visiting this shopping mall for over 25 years, since I moved to the area. It's amazing to see how the community, generations, and businesses have evolved. I fondly remember the antique car fairs held in the parking lot. Let's discuss those days at The Point in Garden City Park. The mall looks decent, and businesses have expanded and become well-organized. Notable mentions include:

- The mall has a huge, well-maintained parking lot with extra space. I've never seen any incidents here. I regularly visit some of these places for my errands and appreciate the convenience."”
“The service in the stores is much better than the same stores in Manhattan. My only regret is the lack of benches to sit near Starbucks, where there is a space with huge windows. I sat on the only bench there but was reprimanded by a very unfriendly security guard.”

“This little mall, if you can call it that, is similar to the New World Mall next door. It is small, just one floor, but there is a very good tailor as well as shoe repair guy in the back. Tina's Tailors Inc. is stall B7. This location is a bunch of tiny stalls with vendors selling things from wigs, clothing, children's clothing, jewelry and accessories, as well as you can take your things to get repaired, hemmed or altered.”
“Myself and husband love to visit and shop. The mall experience is very nice. Clean environment, parking is available. We have specific stores we go to and each and every time we go and shop, it's yet another great memorable experience.”
“I really like the food court in the basement of the Flushing New World Mall! There’s a particular place that’s my favorite, and they serve an incredible hot pot.
