A great destination in the heart of Jamestown, NY! I love to suggest the Jackson Center to my out-of-town friends, as well as local friends. The Jackson Center is a great place to bring Middle and High School aged students on half-day field trips, especially if you are teaching about the World Wars, the Supreme Court/American government, Great Depression, rise of totalitarian regimes, and NY State history. The Jackson Center is also great for English and architectural classes. The have MANY events at all times of the day in their theatre. Highly recommend!

Went their to vote but want to go back and take a tour. Amazing what I saw just taking a short look but the architecture is beautiful. I would encourage everyone who wants to learn more of local and world history to take a tour.

A must see. People are drawn to the National Comedy Center, but I argue much more important is the Robert H. Jackson center to learn about his integral role at protecting freedom, democracy, and justice for all! What an amazing gem we have in our backyard. I can't wait to bring visitors here. Definitely take a tour!

I did not know much about Robert H Jackson. However I really enjoyed learning about his legacy when I visited during Open Doors Jamestown! In a nutshell, he served on the Supreme Court and was part of landmark decisions including Brown v Board of Education. He also was the Chief U.S. Prosecutor at the Nuremberg trials. His views on human and civil rights, constitutional law, and international law are still very relevant today. During the first part of our visit, a friendly and informative docent guided us around the mansion. Then we explored the remainder of the Robert H Jackson Center which covers his life and legacy. There was a film playing in the theatre and we sat down to watch the last 15 minutes of it. There was also a lower level which had an art exhibit on N*** perpetrators. I really enjoyed the museum and found the exhibits thought provoking. I would love to attend an event here in the future.

Appreciated a quick tour half and hour before they closed. If you're in Jamestown, definitely stop-in and learn about Robert H. Jackson. The Center is a real must-visit place.
