we used All Star moving in december 1999 to move into our house and always remembered how great they were. 24 years later they are still a professionally run moving company with reasonable, transparent rates and hard-working movers. they were a pleasure to deal with before the move, whether online or on the phone, totally responsive and helpful. during the move itself the guys were on time, super efficient, careful and friendly. and we moved into a 4th floor walk-up! use All Star - you won't be sorry.

I moved with them back in August. These guys are beyond amazing! I've moved multiple times in the last 5 years, but this was by far the best experience I've had with any moving company. Everyone I interacted with during the entire moving process was polite. The customer service was prompt and responsive. They put all of my belongings exactly where I asked and reassembled my furniture swiftly. We would definitely recommend using them and will be going with them again when the time comes.

Rich gave me a simple all-inclusive quote, no b.s. start to finish. Team was timely, friendly, very fast and packed us well, including our weird delicate sculptural mask. We were so happy with the service.

I cannot rate this moving company highly enough. I used All Star over 10 years ago and was impressed but did not realize just how great they were until subsequent dealings with other shady movers (unfortunately it's a dodgy industry). All Star was honest, professional, and most importantly did not try to take advantage of me. They helped me with 2 legs of a move, including storage and they totally helped to make a stressful situation easier. I strongly recommend them to everyone considering a move in New York.

I've used All Star for 4 moves. They are outstanding. Rich takes pride in his business. He picks up the phone immediately or calls right back. He's been impeccably honest in pricing and hires the right crew. The movers are efficient and hard working, they won't waste a moment of your time. I've also kept furniture in storage with them without a problem. I wouldn't move with anyone else.

I cannot say enough good things about Rich and his team. I had to pack up my apartment after 25 years in NYC to put into storage. I was overwhelmed and no eager to do it. My friend highly recommended All Star to me and it lived up to her referral. Scheduling could not have been easier. Rich was flexible and personable. On the day of the move, the movers arrived on time and even called to let me know they were on their way. They were professional and kind. I had not finished packing and they were able to get this done quickly. Next up, we drove up to Albany, NY for my storage unit close to my family. Again, they remained on time and unpacked efficiently. Thank you, All Star, for making this challenging move seamless.

Five stars for All Star. Rich was always quick to respond to my questions. No hidden costs, they were very upfront from the beginning about how much they charge for their services. Maybe they are not the cheapest, but they were worth it. The movers arrived on time. We did an out of state move, so it was a very long day. All our stuff arrived without a scratch and the team remained dedicated. They were very courteous and hard working. AllStar definitely made the difficult process of moving a lot more pleasant. I've used other movers in NY before, and hands down AllStar was the best. I would definitely recommend.

My friend recommended me this company and wow charge professional rates. Absolute s*** show. They damaged furniture and left everything in thr middle of the room because they were on the clock . A crew of 7 came to move a 2 bed apt from one space to another end out everything else in storage and it took them 8 hours . Lazy , unmotivated crew who charged over 2 k and left my place in utter mess and smart furniture . Unless you want to waste your money . I'd say a big NO.

All Star were fantastic! I spoke to Richard and he gave me all of the information I needed for the move. The day of my move I dealt with Joshua, Eric, and Kendrick. All three gentlemen were friendly and professional. I was amazed at how speedily they moved all my furniture and boxes onto the truck. They wrapped the furniture, loaded up the wardrobe boxes with my clothes, etc., All of my possessions were respected and in great shape once the move was over. They were real troopers with my sleeper sofa. It wouldn't fit through the door of the apartment... they ended up taking it apart and putting it back together once it was in the apartment. These guys are amazing! I am extremely grateful for the great job that they did. I would deifinetly use them again.

All Star both packed me and moved me from Brooklyn to Jersey City. Richard, the owner, was my primary contact. They did such an excellent job. I'm very happy with them and will definitely be using them for my next move. The furniture was carefully moved and arranged. Everyone spoke English so it was easy to communicate where to put the furniture. They were exactly on time for both the packing and the move itself. They brought cones to block off the street when needed. They were 100% professional. They wore masks while both packing and moving. I couldn't believe how smoothly the whole thing went. My only negative comment would be that they used far too much paper when packing my stuff, even plastic. That's it. Everything else was perfect. Also their prices were fair and even slightly less than another quote I had gotten.

I used All Star again to move back from Chapel Hill to New York this time with 4 people's worth of stuff (2 adults, 1 toddler, 1 newborn). They were just as fantastic the 2nd time as they were the first time. Super highly recommended.

It is the second time we use AllStar. About 3 years ago for a short move within Manhattan - everything worked well. This time was for a out-of-state move from NYC to Florida. I called AllStar to ask if they do out-of-state moves and I was happy to hear that they did. Rich immediately asked to either come by to look at the apartment or do a video call. We opted for the second option. I showed him everything that needed to be moved in our 2BR apartment. A couple of hours later he sent me a quote with timing. I was surprised to hear that he was confident everything could be packed and loaded in one day (other movers told me 1.5-2 days). He also committed to pick things up on a Thursday and deliver them next Monday to Florida, unlike other movers who gave me a delivery date of 7-10 days after pick-up. I also asked if I could go along with the truck, he said yes even if nobody does that. In the end I decided to fly down to meet the movers.The quote was on the higher end of the range, but it was based on seeing the apartment and all items that needed to be moved (including a count of all boxes we packed on our own). Most other movers just asked me to tell them what needed to be moved via phone. The quote also included a 100k insurance that I asked to cover a few antique furniture items. In the 2 weeks before the move, I exchanged a few emails / calls with Anthony to arrange for the COIs and ask a few other questions. For example, I told him that the # of painting and prints I gave him was too low, or that a big mirror we had initially thought to leave behind, will in fact be moved. He said it didn't matter, they are all minor items. I asked for advice as we were packing our own boxes. He was always responsive, polite and helpful!The crew of 5 showed up on time on a Thursday morning around 8-8:30am and they packed and loaded everything well before the 5pm cut-off time. Everyone was professional and attentive, they packed and loaded everything with care, including the more expenrsive and fragile items with glass parts and marble tops.The next Monday I met the movers (this time a crew of 2) at the new apartment in Florida. Once again, everything was unloaded, put in place and assembled before the cut-off time (except for the boxes we packed which is our responsability). Everything arrived, nothing was missing or broken. I left a nice tip to the movers - were well deserved!The overall moving process working with AllStar was perfect, everything they promised was delivered, with no hiccups of any kind. I highly reccomend them!
