Harpersfield Cheese is a family-run farm and cheese plant located in the northern Catskills of Delaware County. It is an amazing place and a real gem, producing the most delicious and fantastic traditional cheese you can imagine. The cheese is aged naturally in an actual cave and crafted using milk from their own cow dairy. They offer delicious cheeses in many unique flavors, both soft and hard, including a German Tilsit and a favored semi-hard cheese with a texture like a parmesan. The farm stand is open, and the proprietors and staff are wonderfully kind, super sweet, and an absolute pleasure to do business with. They are always willing to give a tour of their production. Visitors are encouraged to stop by for free tastings, though calling or emailing ahead is recommended for the best experience. The property also features a friendly pig wandering around. With very reasonable prices, it is an awesome place to visit.
Very cool cottage Industry. Down to earth real cheese. Fascinating process. Very proud owners, as they should be. I bought a variety to share with friends and they will now be taking the trip to purchase for themselves. We also purchased a cheese board with the business logo. Looking forward to returning.
