Just after my first lesson I’m so pumped on archery. I had never used a bow before… I started the day with my arrows going in every direction and hitting my arm with the bow string a lot. As the lesson progressed and I got tips on posture, arm movements and finger placement I was hitting a few bulls eyes and stopped missing the target. Very therapeutic and fun.

What’s there to say that most people don’t already seem to know. Joe and his crew are simply amazing folks with the most sincere ‘you can do this too’ attitude. Joe’s level of patience when training/teaching can’t be stressed enough. I was very fortunate to have found about Bold Archery through a client. I have in several orders for custom tailored bows for each of my 4 children, now that they all know how to safely handle a bow (and axes) and act accordingly when on the range. Thanks again Bold Archery. See you again real soon.

Went, got to shoot some arrows but unfortunately got rained on. I had a blast nonetheless! They are so informative and showed me how they made the arrow heads. Will be going back again—even to get a chat in. ?

Visited Joe and his lovely wife last summer with a group of friends who had never thrown axes before. He had us all sinking them in the target within just a few minutes. Even our “slow” friend who’s bad at everything was able to get one on target. He also showed us his bow-making prowess and shared a lot of other primitive skills. This man knows his stuff and has the patience of a saint. Can’t wait to visit him again!

Joe's highly skilled, very friendly, and a complete professional. A great craftsman and an amazing teacher, eager to share everyrhing he knows. He told me I was his favorite student. Didnt really believe him until he gifted me a kilt! Can't wait to go back, had a blast.

What an amazing experience - the owners are so nice. Our son was looking for archery places and saw they had axe throwing here. Joseph coached our teen through the process and our son had a really great time working with Joseph for an hour on his axe throwing skills. Highly recommend.

Joseph is a master of his craft. He hand-makes the bows, arrows, arrowheads and everything! It's the kind of thing I've always imagined myself doing, but he's actually doing! He clearly loves is work, as the tools he makes are simple, sturdy and beautiful. He's generous with his time, as he's taught me a lot about archery and target practice, and I haven't even bought a bow yet! Give him a call - you'll be blown away! I know I was.
