My stay at the bark eater inn was nourishing to the soul and a delight to my senses. There's something magical about being together under one roof with your loved ones. Meg is an exceptional and attentive host! Cannot wait to visit again in the summer.Nearby activities: You have to try the ice jam inn for amazing food and drinks!

The Bark Eater Inn was like a big hug upon arrival. We enjoyed a multigenerational ladies weekend in the beautiful setting surrounded by picturesque mountains in the horizon, open acres for a wintery walk, warmth of the fire in the den inviting conversations and laughter, comfy beds, and nourishing breakfasts. Innkeeper Meghan led us through restorative yoga and breath work classes. The only regret is our weekend had to come to an end. We will be back.

Meals were good. The room was clean and nice. Kitchen was clean and there was plenty of room. No TV couldn't watch football at night.

Really loved this place. Waking up to the smell of bacon and eggs is definitely something that I could get used to, and the hosts were great as well. They recommended local places and activities and really seemed passionate about making this inn something special. I will say they didn't have any TVs that I noticed, I consider this a plus but it may not be for everybody.

The Bark Eater is an incredibly beautiful spot. I stayed there on a company retreat for a few days at the end of August. The inn is surrounded by mountains and a huge flower garden. The managers Meghan and Tyler were very friendly and accommodating. We had an early start each day, and they kindly got up extra early to make very tasty breakfast for our team two days in a row. The rooms were simple and comfortable. I loved the place and want to come back to stay in the future.Food & drinks: The food is as locally sourced as is practical, and everything was fresh and delicious.

My girlfriend and I loved our stay at the The Bark Eater Inn! We stayed in the cabin for 3 nights, hiked a couple peaks in the Adirondacks, and explored Lake Placid during the evening. We'll definitely be back and plan to stay here again. Our favorite part about our stay was the farm breakfast!

We have now stayed at the Barkeater twice and plan on making it a part of our summer vacation plans for the foreseeable future. The Inn is charming, the grounds are amazing and the innkeepers are lovely-can’t say enough good things.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The owners love their property and their guests and do a fine job. The setting of the old colonial house is stunning, overlooking a farm field with mountains in the background. You could sit and stare. The staff is strong; it is sociable and efficient and with the owners for years. The house is very clean and the bed was comfortable - both really important to me. The decor is traditional and spare and the rooms function well. The bathroom had a tub, but it had a shower in it and plenty of hot water. The hot breakfasts were good and vary daily. There is a refrigerator and microwave that guests can use. The setting was quiet on a rural road yet just up the road from the town of Keene with good businesses - a restaurant, a small market store, a gas station/store and a rustic furnishing business. While there for five days I met three pairs of repeat guests. I am already booking a couple of return visits.

Together with five other families, we stayed at The Bark Eater Inn for three nights in July. We took over all of the rooms in the main Inn and the large three bedroom cabin. The whole experience was fantastic. The staff, the service, the food, the location, proximity to great swims and hikes - all fantastic. The Inn is on a gorgeous enormous property with a pond, a yurt, acres and acres of walking paths through meadows. Our favorite spot was the screened in porch - beautiful views and lovely breezes. Highly recommend.

Beautifully appointed rooms, crisp white bedding with ample pillow and blanket choices, lovely common areas, including big screened in porch from which to view the mountains, and best of all, wonder innkeepers and staff. Great breakfasts, and access to the High Peaks with all they have to offer. It's our go-to place in the ADKs!

July 2023: 3 days / 4 nights in the secluded but fully furnished Trillium Cabin was a delight!!! Even when we had a solid 36 hours of warm rain, the partially covered porch was a safe haven for coffee and breakfast, and reading/relaxing all day long. Barkeater Inn gives the visitor easy access to great hikes, canoeing, craft breweries and good restaurants. Know that there is no WIFI in Trillium, and sometimes no internet access from our mobile phones - but you can always go back to the main lodge to use the WIFI there. We LOVED the forced "unplugging" from our devices. We will come back to Barkeater Inn again, and again, and again...

The minute we stepped out of the car, we were smitten! This place in enchanting! The view, the house, the garden, the private porch (we had the Maple Room), everything was so peaceful, clean and welcoming. On top of that, the breakfast was sooooo good! And the staff was so helpful! Shout out to Lisa who gave us good recommendations on what hike to do. We are already planning to be back.

My wife and I had a great time in the gorgeous Adirondacks while staying at the Bark Eater Inn. We simply loved it there, Meghan was a delight to talk with and get hiking and restaurant advice. The Maple Room was lovely, well appointed, and extremely comfortable. We loved the patio with a beautiful view. The Inn feels like home...a very quiet, beautiful place with a great breakfast each morning. This will be our go to home when back in the area.

Our stay at the Bark Eater Inn was outstanding. The Bark Eater Inn was our base for day hikes in the Adirondacks. It had a perfect location being a few minutes by car from the town of Keene, close to many trailheads and not far from Lake Placid. The Inn is immaculate, spacious and charming. It was comfortably furnished and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. After a day of challenging hikes, it was a pleasure to come back to a warm shower, thick towels and luxurious sheets and bedding for a good night’s rest. Meghan and Tyler are superb hosts, very helpful and friendly. A delicious and healthy breakfast was prepared each morning. Coffee was available when we arose early and Meghan was kind enough to pack us breakfast when we departed earlier in the morning than the scheduled breakfast time. We highly recommend staying at this wonderful Inn.

We stayed at the Bark Eater Inn for a nearby training at The Graves Mansion. I looked forward to going back after our day working to the beauty of the gardens, landscape and quietness. I love that the internet is spotty, because we all just need to unplug! Meghan and Tyler work hard to make your stay wonderful. The rooms are super clean, and the breakfast amazing!
