I’ve gotten my car inspected here three years in a row, and the service has always been great. I haven’t needed any major work done yet, so I’m giving 4/5 stars — but I’m confident their repair service is just as good. Every mechanic I’ve interacted with has been kind and professional.
I usually leave some snacks for whoever services my car, and last year, the mechanic actually came out to personally thank me when I picked it up — such a thoughtful gesture!

I’ve been going to Walt’s ever since I got to buffalo since they are Triple A Certified. They’ve always been able to get me in, even when I call last minute for random emergencies. Recently my starter broke- and they were kind enough to drive out to me to take a look at it and even brought it back to the shop for repair. They always explain everything in detail, and the pricing has always been fair. I greatly appreciate their services and will continue going here for the foreseeable future!

As a single woman in Buffalo, finding an honest and reliable garage is everything—and that's exactly what you get at Walt's Garage. I've been bringing my cars here for over a decade because their service is consistently exceptional. They are fair with their pricing, incredibly honest about what needs to be fixed (and what can wait), and they always treat me with the utmost respect ( ok maybe the well deserved eye roll). They take the time to explain the repairs in detail, which I truly appreciate. If you want a mechanic you can trust implicitly, go to Walt's.

I’ve Never Dealt with such a Honest Garage took my Roommates car in thinking the sound we were hearing was the brakes well he cleaned them & said you still have 50 percent brakes left !!!

Scheduled a week in advance to get an oil leak fixed on 7/18/24 @ 7:30 am. I got there was told to bring it back next day at 7:30 am. I was FINALLY informed the NEXT day 7/19/24 (when I should have been informed when I made the appointment) it would be a $150 diagnostic fee. I THINK because I'm living in my car he was scared I couldn't pay to have the work done, because NOW he was very thorough in letting me know about the fee.
The tech came back 20 min later told me what he "think" the problem is and recommend another shop that works on European cars. I was not even giving an estimate to fix my car. He did however only charge me $97 instead of $150 to tell me where I can take it. My car didn't change, it was European when i brought it in. If you don't fix European cars you should have told me.
Now I have to pay to have it diagnosed at the new shop, while I'm already doing bad financially. I feel taken advantage of. Do good people/shops exist anymore?!

What can I say about walts garage? I took my car in to get an alignment. They took my keys, took my car and "aligned" my car. After I picked it up the cars alignment was worse then when I picked it up! My whole car was vering to the right side. I called the shop back, they had me take my car back in to see what was wrong. Had me drive all the way back to the shop to tell me the alignment was off because I needed new tires, rather then letting me know I should get new tires before I get the alignment done. So I paid them 120$, just to have to buy two new tires now and pay for a whole new alignment! I was robbed and I advise anyone not to go there.

I bought a vehicle from Walt's and couldn't be more pleased. I've been back a couple times for minor repairs. They are very honest, pleasant and do a great job at a fair price. Ray and Len are wonderful and I will only be using Walt's garage for my vehicle maintenance/repairs. I highly recommend this shop.
