Very pleased with the workmanship and quality offered. Some human errors were made in terms of ordering the quantity of the product needed, but they ensured that the installation was done to satisfaction and went above and beyond to ensure that any mistakes were made up for and then some!

Very disappointed, and I probably should have posted this review sooner, but lately I have had 3 different contractors come into our home for other work and of course our floors came into the conversation. It will be 5 years in July we hired Carpet One to replace our living space floors, we chose a” higher” grade engineered hardwood for durability and high traffic. ( we had 4 dogs at the time 3 small , 1 large). Within the first couple of months slivers of flooring was coming up, called , they came right up and replaced that piece. Great! Then, less than 2 years in , areas of the floor started almost chipping . After numerous phone calls, sending pictures someone finally came out, only to tell us the floor is not defective, it’s either the humidity in the house ( which we monitor). Or it’s something we are doing . They sent I believe 2 separate “ independent contractors out to exam the floor and the problem , only to come back and say it’s the humidity or the swifter I’m using to lightly clean the floor .( which they told me I could use upon purchasing the floor). It’s been almost 5 years now and again we have had 3 different contractors in my home for other updates we are doing and of course the floors came up and the condition of them, All 3 different contractors have all said, “it’s a defective floor, this is not from humidity or a swifter.” I had the 3rd contractor here this morning , again getting estimates on other work, we discussed my floor, showed him all the areas, and again I’m told , this is a defective floor ! You can’t even imagine the frustration , to have and know all along that it wasn’t “ humidity” or the swifter destroying my floor. Look for yourself in the pics I’m adding to this review. And please carpet one don’t respond by saying you did everything you could to rectify the situation because you didn’t ! You couldn’t even return phone calls !

Only 2 bed rooms that we ourselves removed the old carpet, padding and any remaining staples. 1 hour 20 minutes in out and cleaned up. Excellent quality carpeting, no surprises, got exactly what was promised. So recommend them.

Very disappointed. Great selection but we were 100% honest going in that our carpet is almost 50 yrs old & has had seen MANY dogs (yes, we cannot get rid of oder which is why we are getting new) over the years. Paid $5800 in CASH for new carpet & rip & removal of old carpet (it also started this on the receipt) to have them call me after they came to measure to & tell me they REFUSED to rip or remove plus they wanted to charge an additional $750 for stairs & landings (I would've been fine with that if they took $ off since they refused to rip or remove the old carpet) but then when I went to get my cash back they tried to convince me that for an ADDITIONAL FEE they would rip out but NOT remove the old carpet. I'd advise to either go to Rosendale Carpet or Saugerties Carpet they are at least 100% honest.

Unfortunately I was truly disappointed with this experience. First I will say that I spent over $12,000 to do floors throughout my small 1200 sf home. Not real wood or anything fancy, it was all vinyl flooring. Probably the some of the cheapest there. The first round was my kitchen. Which came out fine overall. They did break the broiler drawer in my oven putting it back in place but I looked the other way. Then they did my living room and bedrooms which also looks just fine but the mess that was left behind on my front steps is STILL there!! Dust from cutting the floors EVERYWHERE!!!! As well as the layers of dust inside my home. When I asked if they’d be cleaning up they seemed shocked. ***Now at this point I’d paid the half ($6000) that the salesman said I had to, also explaining that the other half would be payable when the entire job was DONE!*** Not a problem! I cleaned up after these guys by myself. Also they didn’t bring or have ordered anything to finish the doorways and connecting area between my kitchen and living room, as well as the lip that we had discussed with the salesman from the stone of our fireplace to the floor. When I asked the man who was in my home doing the work he said he had no clue and they never ordered these things. Which I later found out from my carpenter that they ABSOLUTELY should have! I spoke with the owner and he assured me these things would be fixed when they came to finalize the job doing my small bathroom floors. I was also still waiting on a date for that, as they knew when the contract was signed. About a week or two after this I get a call asking for the remaining balance of over $6000. But the job WAS NOT done! I explained that I was happy to send the money for the work thus far and would pay the $900 for the bathroom when it was finished. They argued with me but I stood my ground. Which was not the original deal. I paid them over another $5000 at that point. Finally a week later my plumbers gave the ok for the bathroom flooring. They came almost 3 hours late that day and did the job but again leaving plastic vinyl flooring dust all over my front walkway. The plumbers and carpenters who have been here since were disgusted by this. It just wasn’t cool. Then of course they did not have any of those finishing touches they were meant to. Again feigning ignorance. And when I spoke to the owner he tells me it’s gotta be a “special order” MIGHT cost more!!! At that point I had had it! I mailed their last check and emailed letting them know I would have my carpenter complete it. Be wary here. There may be some good reviews but that means little. Overall the job was not completed and looking back I probably paid too much! All in all it came down to the owners demands for payment and acting like he had to chase me for it! Which WAS NOT THE CASE!!! Plus the complete disregard for cleanup which is absolutely part of any workmen’s responsibility. And then the total dismissal of the finishing aspects...again which are absolutely a given. The floors got done. But the experience was just not cool. Especially since I paid and paid exactly as I was originally asked to. Oh, and their receptionist was unnecessarily rude! For $13,000 at least be nice!

We had wood flooring installed through out our home. They did an excellent job. Everything went smoothly from beginning to the end of the installation. I get so many compliments on my floors. Thanks for doing such a great job.

Great locally owned flooring company. Love their selection, knowledge and pricing. Don’t waste your time price shopping elsewhere. Start here first and last. Kathy and Andy have been part of the community their entire lives and also believe in shopping local and supporting other businesses.

After water damage, Carpet One replaced my mother’s carpeting and installed some great looking linoleum. I had my carpet removed and replaced with wood-vinyl flooring. Needing an area rug to complete it, Shawn, without even thinking about it, pulled out the perfect round carpet. I couldn’t be happier.

We went to a whole bunch of flooring places this past Tuesday and we had, by far, the best experience here! My husband flips houses and is doing his first east coast one since moving from California. We made a day out of stopping in to a bunch of flooring places between the property (Woodstock) and our home (NYC) to check out the options for hardwood flooring. It turned out the flooring he used for the California properties was WAY more expensive here on the east coast, probably due to shipping, so we were suddenly scrambling to find an option that would fit the vision without going over budget. We were looking around the showroom at Kingston One and Sean came over and asked if we needed help. There is a HUGE selection of beautiful, beautiful flooring and we were finding lots of things that would be perfect but everything that resembled the flooring he'd used in CA was much more expensive than he'd budgeted for the current house. Sean listened to what we were looking for, pulled out a number of good options that were very similar to the ones we wanted but much closer to the price we were looking for. He found us one that was still about $1.50 (psf) more than we wanted to spend but that seemed to be as close as we were going to get right at that moment. He said to give him our number and he'd dig deeper and see what he could find. We said thanks and headed out to check some other places. We stopped in eight other places on our ride back to the city that day and weren't able to find any better deal. Most of them had the same one that we'd sort of resigned ourselves to (the one that was $1.50 more than we'd budgeted) but the one at Kingston one was still the least expensive for that one. Then, as we're driving, Sean calls and says he found something for exactly our price point that was VERY similar. I was skeptical but my husband went back the next day and it was perfect! It's some new product that just came out, Sean had hunted for what we were looking for and found it! I know this is a giant wall of text and maybe more detail than necessary but I just wanted to make it clear that our experience here was so far above and beyond what we'd experienced everywhere else.
