I brought my canvas to be framed
. I purchased the frame from them .they did a terrible job.
Canvas was not framed properly..it was very wavy...I brought it back..second pick up, still wavy..I wasn't very comfortable with the attitudes of a couple of people in that department so I spoke to the store manager, she was very nice and apparently helpful...third pick up picture was perfect...I don't think I would use them for framing again..

We all know Michael's is almost the home for some painting supplies, needlework tools, seasonal items, faux branches, picture frames, ribbons- which I've gotten plenty of, scrapbooking- you name it, these folks have almost any crafty item imaginable. And as a result of that, Michael's has been a one-stop shop for such things when I want to do something at home or work. The Sunday I came to this Kingston, NY location at Kings Mall, I picked up a glass+black frame for a deckle edge art piece my daughter had gotten hubs. The layout here is bigger than most Michael's I've been to, prices of course, are reasonable and I can use my educator's discount on top of what I buy.

We went to Michael's to get ideas and some items for wood projectsLarge variety and many products to choose from. Including different colors of stains and paints for wood crafts

The tall young man with glasses and long hair who said he was one of the managers at the Kingston New York store was ridiculously inappropriate in his attitude to me, basically making me feel like I was stupid for asking him the questions I asked him. When I went up to tell him afterward that he really shouldn't talk to a customer like that he said oh I'm sorry in a very perfunctory way and then was about to start all over again to berate me about what we had talked about before. What a complete jerk, not the type of person who should be in a position of responsibility dealing with customers.

Mixed review here. I placed an online order for pickup. Only to find out the store had no record of my order. No fault of the manager Kristine who was very helpful. She sat my order aside and said I could pay in person. I then called corporate to find out about my missing order and the charge on my bank account. After spending over and hour on the phone about this order. I was told it was a system error. And that my order would be canceled and the money refunded to my account in 3-5 business days. I was pretty frustrated with the service I received from the company. But I do appreciate the helpfulness of Kristine.

A much better store than the old location! The way they gave it laid out is very consumer friendly! It is well lit and has great ambiance, in the store! The store seems much bigger than their old location but the funny thing is it's less square footage than the old store! I don't dread going into here with my wife as I did with the old store!
