“Found several pieces I loved and had a great experience with the family of staff/owners. The owner gave us a glimpse into some great local history. Very friendly, stylish, and reasonably priced.”

“What a great store with a good cause. Items are priced very well if you’re looking for a real deal. Childrens clothing are free and some colored tags are free (varies on the day). The sales girls are kind, although the owner? seems a bit overwhelmed with the process of going through incoming donations and isn’t welcoming.

Regardless, the store is worth checking out and they put free items throughout the day outside the store which is nice.”

“A wonderful opportunity for the needy. A terrific group of people I believe are all volunteers. I am happy to contribute to their wonderful cause. Thank you, People’s Place.”

“Friendly staff, great little store & lower cellar area with neat home decor and some antiques! Takes donations and all money made is directly donated to different organizations they support. Love stopping by here!”

“I just love this place and try to stop in whenever I am in the area. The store is owned by the veterinarian next door who donates all of the profits to good causes. All of the employees or volunteers. They sell excellent quality pre-loved pet items at amazing prices. Many items are new or in like new condition. The merchandise is well organized so it’s easy to find what you were looking for. Check it out!”

“As with all 'donation' stores you sometimes get lucky. At times I have been showered with the blessings of angels in this store. While renovating a house a few years ago I hesitated to order the (midrange) front door I liked at Lowes. Then I found a brand new top of the line door I knew retailed for over 4 grand here. It was $500. (The security hardware I had to special order was $350). Deal! A gorgeous queen 4-poster bed was $50. All the sinks I wanted. Someone left low stars for signs asking us not to bargain (like it was a personal insult). I just think of the poor employees who can't lower already reasonable prices and are hounded to the point where those signs are necessary for their sanity. Then they are further insulted on Yelp. I donate and shop here to support this great organization. Try it... you may get lucky too.”

“One of the better thrift stores in the area. Rob and Jane are always helpful and willing to negotiate. Not sure what these negative reviews are talking about. In my experience if you treat people with respect they will respond in kind. Can't wait for the reopening!”

“Went There On a weekday and think they have improved seeing all these reviews. Found A lot of great items here which were priced fairly too and that day it was blue tags day 50% off on all blue tag. Found some danskin, calvin klein and polo there too. Customer service was quick and good too. Would come back if i'm around the area again.”
