I went in to day to make a deposit and Mary was extremely helpful and we had a good conversation while everything was being processed. She then went above and beyond to email their Mortgage Loan Officer for me to make everything even simpler for me. thank you mary! (Also they had blue lollipops today so thats a plus)

I am writing this review because customer service was not helpful at all on the phone. I have been paying my van lease through HVCU now for over 2 years. I always pay a few cents over the bill payment. Apparently last month the check arrived one day late. It may have been because of a holiday or a delay with my bank sending out the check or the post office had a delay. Either way it was one day late, the first time in over 2 years. I received a letter stating that I had a late fee of $20.92 and that they had reported me to the credit bureau. I called and spoke with customer service which apparently could not do anything to help me. I asked since this was a first occurrence and I've payed over every month plus it was delay that I wasn't even aware of that happened due to the fact that I pay through my bank if they could help me out in some way and they said no...just pay the late fee. I think this is unreasonable and not very " neighborhood friendly." This October when it's time to take out a new lease I definitely will reconsider my bank options.

The HVFCU Crew always makes me feel welcome when I visit with my Guiding Eyes puppy, Gifford. We really like both the Lagrange and Hopewell branches for their efficiency and friendliness.
