ShopRite of LaGrangeville is a clean store with a nice parking lot and prices that are not as high as some other area supermarkets. Since taking over the location, the shopping experience is described as wonderful with great prices and varieties. The store has a good selection, including fresh flowers, and receives praise for consistent service. Specific staff members, including those at the fish counter and checkout, are highlighted as very kind, helpful, and deserving of recognition.
However, significant management and operational issues are frequently reported. The store is often poorly managed, with promotional items from the flyer routinely out of stock, leading to long lines at the customer service counter for rain checks and receipt issues. Matching sale prices is challenging, even for staff. A major complaint centers on the deli department, which offers only pre-packaged salads with no fresh options; these packages are often described as old and unappealing. Furthermore, grab-and-go cold cuts are sourced from another location with prices that do not match the weekly flyer. Incidents like damaged bags from the checkout belt and confusing, lengthy receipts add to the frustrations. Customer attempts to address these problems with management have been met with responses perceived as unaware or unhelpful, leading to the impression that the store is poorly managed and a disaster. Despite these persistent issues, some departments, like seafood, provide satisfactory service.
Very well kept & helpful staff. New to area ran in to get them to make a fresh Italian hero. Sadly they don't make sandwiches at the deli but did have a small selection of premade sandwiches in the refrigerator section
