Fire pits at night, beach to sit on sand and watch the stars. In close proximity to walk in town so no driving needed.

We just returned from a 4 night stay in the Cottage and it was excellent. Staff was very friendly especially Heather and Rachel.
Room was very, very clean. Bed extremely comfortable and the sheets smelled so fresh. Cottage is very cozy and I was able to keep all our luggage on the huge dresser, and off the floor.
It is off season so very few guests and very quiet. Everything is within walking distance so that was perfect. The beach was just beautiful and right outside our private patio. My only "con" was that the plumbing was noisy at times but very minor.
Will definitely be back!

The positive. Good location in downtown of lake George. Few minutes walk from main attractions.
The negative. Carpet in the room was very dirty and a VERY strong scent of mildew came from the room. Most likely the carpet. It was really unpleasant.
Room was facing a building wall and old debris and trash were beside the room we rented. Terrible view. The best way to describe it would be a back alley view.
The personal at the reception were not pleasant, especially the lady. Ddid not greet us. Did not even bother to ask us how was our stay or even thanking us for staying. She got my key and said you’re all set. Very unwelcoming atmosphere.
Would not recommend and will not go back

Beautiful location. Large property. Plenty of parking. Cleaning staff is outstanding. Rooms are dated, too small and too expensive. Bathroom is in poor repair, moldy, broken tiles, pretty disgusting. Many of the other people staying here during our stay were loud, obnoxious and dirty (trash outside of rooms, pissing behind the cars in the lot, loud motorcycles late at night, the smell of weed lingering throughout the property, people vaping and smoking within proximity of the signs prohibiting use). In short heavy commercialization and contamination of a beautiful place.
Walkability: Very close to restaurants and attractions.

We had a Labor Day family trip and chose to stay at this hotel. It was wonderful. Check-I’m personnel was super friendly, and Rachel at the front was a pleasure to deal with! Room was comfy and having access to kids TV channels was perfect! Super convenient location and it’s not noisy at all. Pool was super nice and well maintained. Also, the beach was a great and all around just had a great time. Highly recommend this hotel for families traveling with children. The location is close to everything and super convenient . The playground is also great to wear them out :)

Great location near lots of walkable restaurants and very good value for the area. Rooms are small but clean and have everything you need. Friendly staff and a comfortable high quality bed and sheets. I would stay here again! Parking is also free which is nice as it can be hard to find parking in lake George

I've seen reviews complaining about the size and age of the rooms and the customer service. I have been coming to Lake George for almost 60 years and I know what to expect from most of the motels there. This hotel is much better than others I have stayed at.
One reviewer claimed ,"they are only interested in making money." I beg to differ. This hotel offers free root beer floats on one day, make your own sundaes on another, smores during the fireworks, and a hamburger & hot dog cookout with all of the fixings on Sunday night.
In my particular case, my wife had a medical emergency on the morning we were due to check out. Rachel, the general manager, not only called for the ambulance but came to our room to see if there was anything she could do and to direct the ambulance to our location. Initially, she said her staff would finish packing up our stuff, as I had to go with my wife to the hospital. Before I even left, it was determined that no one was due to check into my specific room that day, so Eachel extended my stay with them. My wife was not being discharged the next daY, and possibly a few more past that. As such. I queried Rachel about any available rooms. It ws at this point, Rachel suggested I move to a hotel closer to the hospital as it would be less costly and more convenient. This was not a suggestion from someone who is ony looking to make money, but a person who had compassion for one of her customers.
Rachel. I can't thank you enough for your assistance. You made a difficult situation much easier.

We decided to take a last minute vacation to Lake George. We came across this resort that had availability and decided to give it a try. What a great choice!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it. There is so much to do and the view is absolutely stunning! The staff are friendly and always greet the guests. The close proximity to the village is so convenient! We were able to walk to everything we wanted to do. There is so much to do right at the resort. They have the pool, private beach, cornhole, ping pong table, shuffleboard, playground area for the kids, and a fun activity each day! We are looking forward to our next trip to Lake George and will be staying here again!

Please make sure to read all the reviews especially the ones with the poor ratings. This place only cares about money and they are not accommodating at all. It is not worth it for the price either. Poor customer service and cramped room. Check in people were not friendly and condescending when interacting with them. I picked it primarily for the location to the lake but the beach area was just a small patch of land and can definitely see it getting crowded. Room felt like a cheap motel and furnishings were dated. The carpet was dingy and beds were lumpy with rough sheets. There are definitely better options along the strip and will not be returning here again.

It was awesome, the rooms are all so close to the pool and beach. The location is wonderful, so are the rooms. The staff were very kind and helpful, I definitely plan on coming back. If I could I would give it 10 stars!
Nearby activities: It is on the main road so most places at less then a 10 minute walk away, we walked 4 minutes to get dinner, which was fantastic.

We stayed at Marine Village Resort the weekend of June 7-9th, 2024, because we were going to Saratoga for the Belmont Stakes on Saturday. This was my second time in Lake George, my first time was 2 yrs ago, we stayed at the Marriott. We went online not knowing anything about the MVR and decided to make a reservation there. When we arrived and drove down to our room, I was so happy it was right near the lake where the playground and fire pit area is. It was early in the season and quiet when we first got there. I walked over to the docks and there were some ducks swimming in the lake by the beach, they came out of the water and walked right up to me, and early the next morning I opened the door and 8 of them were sitting right outside our room!! It was really cool!! The room was clean and very cozy!!! The bedding was so comfortable and those pillows were absolutely amazing!!! I need to call and find out what brand they are so I can purchase them for home!! Lol!! The bathroom shower with the glass doors was awesome and had soaps, shampoo, conditioner and body wash!!! There was a beautiful pool area and an area with bbq’s and tables!! Every morning when I woke up and before I went to sleep at night, I would go sit on that swing set looking at the lake and mountains…it felt peaceful…
Thank you…we really enjoyed our stay at your resort and would love to come back again!!!
Rooms: The room was clean, very cozy, the bed and pillows were so comfortable!! Best sleep ever!!!!
Nearby activities: Lots of shopping to do in town!! Minature golf !!
Walkability: Right there in town- no need to drive if you want to have dinner and drinks. If you love seafood definitely eat at the lobster pot!! It’s my favorite place!!! Duffys has live music on second floor and is 2 minutes away walking distance. Walking up that steep hill at the resort to street level was kinda rough!! Did it once and said hell noooooo!! drove up and paid parking meters a few blocks away.
Noteworthy details: Being right on the lake made it even more special!! The views were incredible!! You can rent kayaks, paddle boards and I would have loved to try the water trike for 2 !! There’s a beautiful gated pool area and an area with tables and bbq’s to enjoy. On the beach a huge fire pit with Adirondack chairs in a circle around it!! By the pool area there’s a huge ice machine!! We went on line and made reservations for this resort, we even thought before we got there it was further past town. It’s right across from the Marriott. The best part about it is we took a chance, and fell in love with this resort!! It definitely was a win win!!! It made our weekend away that much more special and the moment we got to our room and the location where it was, blew me away!! I wish we we could have stayed another day or two.
