“Love this church! It's amazing. The physical structure is very special and should not be missed. But we actually attended services on Sunday, and it was delightful. We're not even religious, but we've gone back three times. To follow is a quote from my 8-year-old who said he liked the congregation so much that he wanted to say something nice in the review, "The people there is so nice and they were just amazing the church is the best I have ever been to. It was so beautiful that we stayed for the whole time"”

“Father Chris and Deacon Bob conducted the service for my mother’s funeral this week. It’s challenging to deliver a comforting message for mourners especially during Christmas, but Father Chris delivered a very assuring and uplifting message. I won’t go into details here and force him to take it out of circulation, but he was very much appreciated.Deacon Bob conducted a short service at the funeral home. It was obvious that he knew and loved our mother and he brought a nice personal touch. Thank you Deacon Bob and Father Chris. The church itself is beautiful and old and probably expensive to heat.”

“A peaceful Tibetan Buddhist monastery at the top of a mountain. Follow the winding road up the mountain and you'll know that you've arrived when you see the colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind. This beautiful monastery welcomes everyone of all faiths and backgrounds - just remember to take off your shoes before you enter the shrine. If you're visiting Woodstock, this monastery is not to be missed. The bookstore (Namse Bangdzo) offers a wide selection of Buddhist books, fine Tibetan Buddhist art (statues and thangkas), and Dharma practice materials. Like other reviewers have said, this monastery is not designed as a tourist destination, but a functioning monastery and serves as the North American seat of the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, head of the Karma Kagyu lineage. Karma Triyana Dharmachakra (KTD) offers private retreats for those who wish deepen their understanding and m find peace through Tibetan Buddhist teachings. You can make a donation at write a dedication on a card which is taped to a lamp (at the time of this writing, the donation for a 3-day lamp starts at $12). It's a neat experience walking through the golden Buddha shrine and reading other people's lamps.”
