I usually don't write reviews and would normally take a cashiers side, but the older woman w the glasses working there this morning should not be a cashier. I ran in quick for something and overheard her literally verbally abusing a customer. Yelling at the woman to not put things on the counter, and just being horrible to her. It was so uncomfortable I just walked out.

This location, and the one in Port Ewen, are cleaner and have more stock than the one in Kingston. Is this because the one in Kingston is located in mid-town, an area of the City that is consistently ignored by one and all, including the City government, for any kind of renovations, upgrades, etc.? Is it thought that those with less money (and no transportation of their own to go to the other locations) should have to shop in a store that is not as nice and has a lesser variety of items (even though I would wager the Kingston location it brings in the most money.) I also have noticed that the Kingston location keeps its hair care products for people of color behind the counter.

Well I did find what I came there to get .. Yet dirty unorganized and cluttered.. long overdue for a sweep/mop boxes all over just filthy wondering if they ever have more than one person working there at a time... Heat was unbelievable high sweating in that store.

This Dollar General is a pleasure to shop at it is very clean unlike the 1 in Port Ewen and the 1 on Foxhall Avenue Kingston. They are disgustingly dirty.
