“This place is super cute. They had sale tshirts in the front, all kinda of awesome apparel on the walls. I found a vintage tshirt print and this amazing mug which im obsessed with. I picked it up thinking its wood which is hot to handle with hot liquid inside. Its ceramic. Had to buy. The older lady there was pleasant and helping everyone. Super cute store. Visit if you get a chance.”
“We’ve had candy from this shop for a couple of our family events, and it has genuinely become one of my favorite little traditions. There’s something so nostalgic and magical about gathering around a table, bonfire, or porch with my family and kids, passing around different pieces of candy, trying them one by one, arguing (lovingly!) over our rankings, and laughing way too hard over which ones became instant favorites.
It’s such a simple thing, but somehow it became one of those “we’ll remember this” moments - the kind of small joy that turns into a family story you tell years later.
The candy is always fresh, the selection is amazing, and the experience it creates is even better. If you’re looking for a fun way to bring people together, or just want a dose of sweet nostalgia, this is the place!!

“Newman's news is on Main St across from Grand Adirondak Hotel. Opens early with fesh coffee. Collections of trinkets, patches, clothing, and mugs. Also has unique finds like books about the Adirondacks, selection of cigars, large array of children's toys. Worth a visit.”

“If you visit Lake Placid, this is a must stop. They have great home decor that is Adirondack style. They also have clothing, food items, and more. A great shop to find something for everyone.
Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Free street parking available and if that runs out there is a paid parking lot next to the building.”
