I took my vehicle to Monro Auto last year for brake pads and rotors. They did an excellent job then, and I returned to them recently after another shop attempted to fail my vehicle inspection and charge an excessive amount for rear brake calipers. I had a bad feeling about it because I felt no issues braking, so I called Monro up and they got me in quickly to take a look. John personally inspected my vehicle and found not only did my calipers not need to be replaced, but they were so tightly bolted down there was no way the other shop could have disassembled them to examine them--he caught another shop trying to fleece a customer. The crew did a great job and saved me a ton of money. I appreciate the honesty, fair pricing, and quick turnaround on the labor!

BEWARE!!! My fiance had been doing business with these guys for years until she had to have her alternator replaced and a battery. Google says the maximum repair charge for her vehicle was $1100. These people charged her $1110. You can take your vehicle to literally any other garage in the country and it would be cheaper. They saw her coming and took advantage of her. When confronted about it, they explained the extra charges away and said it was only $10 more than the internet quoted me. No. It was $10 more than the maximum amount anywhere else would charge us. They're criminals and ought to be shut down. Take your business to literally any other shop for better service.

After unfortunate circumstances, I needed assistance quick to get my car back on the road for Thanksgiving. The staff here were great. They went way above and beyond what I expected trying to find the parts I needed, and making the repairs quickly. I could not have asked for better service!

I was towed in with a flat tire 15 minutes before closing. I was attended to promptly and on my way with 2 new tires within 45 minutes. First class service.

I had a great experience. I needed the valve stem in my tire repaired asap, and they delivered. I was ?! Before I stopped in there, I went to a place in Lansing and was told it would be a week before they could get me in. I was like, you're kidding. And, it was my mechanic. Done doing business there. So, I called Monroe. The guys were great. I really didn't wait long, and the price was reasonable for a walk-in. Thank you, Monroe ?...

The gentlemen@Monroe in Lansing were awesome. I received excellent service, honest feedback, and no, hidden surprises. The manager was super helpful in explaining things so I understood exactly what I was paying for and what the problem was. I highly recommend Monroe in Lansing.

John Fick, the head engineer at Monro, is amazing! I took my Prius to Monro for the engine check light since I was not able to get an appointment at the Toyota service center that week. When John took a test drive, he noticed the loud noise with my Prius and diagnosed as severely degraded ball bearings at the front wheels. After he fixed the ball bearing problem, I can't believe my ears - the Prius returned to its quiet and buttery drive I longed for! In the past 2 years, I repeatedly requested the Toyota service center to fix this noise problem. About a year back, I had the muffler changed but the car was still very noisy. When I asked again, I was told that the car was old so it was just an old engine. My recent experience at Monro told a completely different story!

So disappointed. Had an inspection scheduled for 10 AM on Saturday 9/2/2023. We arrived just before 10 to drop the vehicle off for the inspection but the person at the counter said, 'Sorry we are closing early today and can't do the inspection anyway- the guy who does them isn't coming in' When asked why they didn't call and notify people with appointments he said 'You can go somewhere else if you want...' THANKS, don't mind if I do. Oh, he did offer to reschedule, but also said the inspection guy is 'hit or miss' and they can't guarantee he would be there for the next appointment. I get that it was a holiday weekend and sometimes people actually have to call off, but CALL THE AFFECTED CUSTOMERS.This location used to be our go-to for basic service but there is NO customer service at all anymore here. Stay away, and avoid disappointment and bad/non-existent customer service.

Great shop! Stopped in after hearing a loud bang in 2010 f250 diesel. John took a guess what it was and turned out to be right. He resecured the charge pipe for the turbo and we were good to go. Thanks John!

if i could give it zero i would. i have been coming here for years. last week I dropped off my car for a NYS inspection, with an appointment. I received a voice mail saying i dropped iff the wrong key, it doesnt work. i called back only to argue with Joe for 4 minutes over the phone- him insisting he watched me leave a solo key. i knew i left a housekey with key and described the lanyard. I basically hung up on him because it was so crazy how rude he was. 15 minutes later he calls me to tell me they found my key with excuses. I will never go there again to be treated like that.

Terrible service. I had 2 appointments for an inspection and both times I was told the inspector wasn’t in AFTER I had already driven in. I didn’t receive a phone call either time to alert me of this.

Steve is great. I went in for an unspecified check and multiple complications arose. He solved every issue, even the more complicated ones with experiential knowledge, and explained to me each thing that was done. Super helpful team!
