“I’ve been a teacher at TLE for just over a year. The directors are amazing and offer plenty of support to their staff. I was given the opportunity to complete my CDA as one of the perks offered to employees, which has enabled me to advance my career as a toddler teacher. The bond that I have made with my coworkers is amazing. We all work together to help and support each other. It truly feels like we’re a family. Overall, my experience working here has been fantastic!”
“My daughter started this school last year and I have nothing but great things to say. They are caring, responsible, and just such amazing people. Miss Christa’s class is just the best She is the kind of teacher that you want for your kids, Someone that you can see and feel That really cares for the children and you can see it through their growth. My daughter has learned so much. She is just three years old and Sometimes I’m amazed myself with the things that she learns at school. She loves to school so much that some weekends she begs to go back to school. They have a schedule calendar every month with activities and fun things to do. They keep you updated throughout the day about what your child is doing, which is great and it gives you a really good peace of mind. overall just a nice place for the kids to be the area is really quiet and safe. The playground is very spacious which I think it’s a great thing so the kids can run around safely. Would 100% recommend this school.”
“We made a switch from a nearby daycare in white plains to Kiddie Academy a few months ago.
It was the right decision, we love it here so much. The teachers Imani and Leah are all like a family and their consistency and long term presence makes it a great place.”
“I’ve had the best experience at Ivy prep. My daughter went since she was 8 months and believe me when she left this school she was advanced for kindergarten. The school is clean, the teachers are attentive and loving. The food is well balanced. I was contacted for everything and the learning is phenomenal. I would put my next kid here if I needed to.”
“Little Scholars Country Day is an amazing preschool and daycare. Love the structure, unique learning opportunities, family engagement, and experiences they provide for the kids(and families) Highly recommended to everyone!!”
“Little Friends, is everything a parents dreams and hopes for in a school for littles. From the second you walk in the incredibly loving and professional front desk fairies [ yes they are fairies to me] work their magic remembering every child and parents name [ like, how? LOL] They make all that walk through the door feel warm and fizzes. Chelsea and Sandra, make sure all notes get to teachers and if your a working momma even assist with getting your kids out or in the car so you make it to work on time- 10 stars just for that! Miss Verna, is incredibly hands on and talented in her own right, she is truly a marvel how she cultivated this amazing place for kids, and parents to enjoy. She has safety, professionalism, clean, fun and wonderful environment for all down to a T. My two girls are [ 1 infant and 1 toddler] excited screaming excited to attend school everyday. Most kids don't get this vibe. Danielle, Chelsea B Skita and paola truly make being a infant teacher look easy, and we know it isn't. They love, protect, and care with such love for each baby like their own. Chelsea B is my littliest teacher and when my girlie is with her she doesn't miss me one bit [ which is such a good thing, i know some people are probably gasping at that thought lol] she is so kind and nurturing to my youngest. Now on to the amazing Toddler teachers for my now 2 year old. Miss Lisa, Emma, Simone and Lizzy- wow how you handle these toddlers is a true Art that i have yet to manage myself... can't thank them enough and my oldest has the most beautiful hair styles from Emma's salon :)
non the less, there may be other daycares out there, but if you want to feel no fear, for having your kids at a school all day please put yourself on the waitlist, yes a waitlist- like seeing Santa or going to the latest movie all good things have a line- WAIT like i did almost 1.5 years but now that we are here, i would never look back. Thank you to each and every teacher, admin and Miss Verna for making dreams come true, and mommy and daddy's minds at ease.”
“My siblings and I all attended Sacred Heart starting in the late 70's. There are 5 of us and all turned out relatively successful (software engineer, doctor, teacher, business owner, executive). I credit Sacred Heart with providing us with the stepping stones that encouraged and prepared us for our life journey after the 8th grade.I made the choice to continue the legacy and send my son to Sacred Heart as well. It remains an excellent school which fosters a close-knit community. So far, the teachers and staff have been fantastic. You really start to understand the quality of education at Sacred Heart when you interact with parents and students from other schools. Alongside the educational element, the school does an outstanding job of teaching discipline, moral values, and social skills. It's heartening to see these shine through as my son grows and develops at Sacred Heart. I am not convinced that the excitement and joy he exudes each and every day towards learning would come out by attending any other school.”
“I love this school for my daughter. It was hard finding a preschool that took my daughter at her age. But i am so happy i chose this school. They are so professional and my daughter truly enjoys it.”
“This is my favorite place in the whole world! I went to camp and school here and my mother worked in the nurses office and my brother was a camp counselor. The drama department is outstanding and I dream about the food to this day. I hope to return again someday and bring my kiddo to the fun!”
“Our daughter has been with Lightbridge Academy Elmsford since she was just 2 years old (she recently graduated) and our experience over the years has been nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, the entire team has been incredibly attentive, nurturing, and professional. We’ve always felt confident that our daughter was in the best hands. They’ve played a big part in shaping her early years and for that we’ll always be grateful. If you’re looking for a daycare where your child will be well cared for, supported, and truly loved, Lightbridge Academy Elmsford is the place.”
“Love the ECC! Both of my kids have been very happy there- the outdoor aspect of their program is fantastic, the kids get so much time to explore. The staff is great and the families are very involved. We’re glad we picked the ECC!”
“Absolutely amazing daycare that truly cares! All teachers at Prospect are wonderful and are there to encourage, assist and help. Every little request is taken into consideration and is easily addressed. They know every one of their students really well with his/her preferences and nuances.
I greatly appreciate the culture of changing into indoor shoes as you go inside. Prospect recognizes the necessity of outdoor play regardless of the weather and requires that everybody has appropriate outdoor gear to stay warm and dry. Prospect selects its toys wisely. They are not stocked with every single car and doll available on the market; instead, they have every single building kit, puzzle, and block set imaginable. They encourage focused play and critical thinking as well as imaginative play and interaction with other kids. And, needless to say, after just one year at Prospect Academy, my son is truly bilingual.
Childcare is not just a job for Prospect, it is what they do, it is their craft, and I am very thankful for that!”
“This review is for the aquatic program at JCC. We could not find a better place for our swimming enthusiast 4 year old! Brandon, his coach, does a fabulous job! It’s been a while since I have seen someone so interested in his job! He’s so patient with little kids, always meets him with a big smile that doesn’t fade. My kid loves the water but I can see those kids who are a little nervous are also making progress. The pools is nice and big. Tuition is reasonable.”
“We started our son at Children’s Corner on Westchester Ave when he was 6 months old. After considering several child care options, we quickly felt we made the correct choice with how great the infant teachers were. Miss Anastasia and Nancy remained his favorite teachers even as he progressed out of the infant room. Aliya'h and Cookie run the center and are great with communication. We had to relocate our son to a different center due to a move, but we kept him enrolled at a different Children’s Corner location due to the positive experience at Westchester Ave. As good of a total value as you’ll find in the area.”
“My two sons attended daycare here for two years, even through the height of the pandemic. They stayed open and followed all the safety protocols, which was such a comfort in a hectic time. Ms. Hope was always so loving and caring with our two boys. They were always happy to come and happy at pick-up time.”
“The staff is so warm and welcoming. They truly love all of the children in their care and make it a priority to get to know each family. The directors Ms.Chika and Ms.Perla have gone above and beyond to make TLE Dobbs Ferry a truly special place. I couldn't be happier with TLE Dobbs Ferry! ❤️”
“Highly recommend! Teachers and staff are amazing - we love getting to chat with them at beginning and end of the day. Our child loves going to school and is safe, having fun, socializing with other kids and is beyond well taken care of - we've been going since 5 months old! The daily activities and curriculum are incredible. The app is wonderful to be updated on what's happening each day. We are so happy with the choice we made to go to Bright Horizons at Westchester Executive Park!”
“We love the teachers here. Owners and admins are nice and responsive. The school offers a great curriculum and has a variety of extra-curriculum opportunities. School hours are also very parent friendly.”
“Our son is the second child that has attended The Little Red because we were so impressed with Anna a few years ago when our daughter was there. His verbal, behavioral and social skills have advanced incredibly since September. He is always talking about his friends, Mrs. M/Ms. Noelle and all of the things he has done that day. Anna has a different weekly theme which includes stories, arts and crafts, sensory bin, etc. The children not only work on their communication and behavioral skills, but also gross and fine motor skills as well. The class size is small with 6 children per 2 adults which allows the children to connect with each other and enhance their learning. Anna is also wonderful with potty training and will give advice on any issues/concerns you may have with your childs learning/behavior. We are sad that the school year is coming to an end because it means that our family’s time is up with Anna. I would not hesitate recommending TLR to anyone as it is a caring and enriching environment for your child.”
“My son started daycare here at 4.5 months old and has loved it since day one. He received so much love and attentive care from Rosany and Silvia in his first classroom and then with Nayeli and Rebeca when he moved up to the next classroom. Everyone is so nice and friendly. Seeing how much he loved daycare eased my anxiousness of leaving him to go to work. Also, the director Gricelda is super understanding and accommodating. I highly recommend this daycare!”
“Our son has been going to this school since he turned 2 years old. GNCS is a wonderful school with a devoted parent body, a highly experienced teaching staff and a great facility that includes a massive playground and outdoor class room. The school provides a safe and enriched environment for kids to grow, develop and thrive. It is definitely the top choice for daycare school in the Great Neck area. Highly recommended!”
“Pooh & Friends is a great day care. I honestly enjoyed having my son Jonah there. He loved the staff and his friends. Ms. Barbara is an amazing person and so is her kind staff. Both my wife and I are truly grateful to them.”
“This experience has been wonderful! Our daughter attended for three years and our son one. He'd run in without looking back. She was more hesitant, then couldn't stop talking about it. We moved to Port largely for this school and were not disappointed. The references were strong when we were deciding, and perhaps we'll chat if you're considering it. Many parents were educators (we're not), and we developed some close friendships. The name comes from "Project Spectrum," a research program that ran at Harvard under Howard Gardner and Mara Krechevsky. It's unrelated to the autism spectrum. The idea is that there are several types of intelligence (a "spectrum" of knowledge), and they can be cultivated in early childhood. My Spectrum School combines elements of this theory and the Reggio Emilia approach. It excels at translating theory into experiences. That's mostly because teachers care about kids, and kids aren't interested in Gardner. There's a commitment to longer-term themes (e.g., creativity, cognitive skills, STEAM), which informs curriculum. And they have a moment-by-moment approach: Teachers incorporate kids' interests and provide remarkable individual attention and differentiation. Class sizes are small enough to make that work. There's also some structure. Teachers stick to a routine for activities like arrival, lunch, playground, and departure---even if there can be considerable flexibility in between. Kids call adults by titles. Dr. D, Ms. Jennifer, and Mr. Jason became household names. The teachers are amazing, and it's hard to say enough good. Mr. Jason and Ms. Jennifer are bright, engaged, and passionate about the kids. They're also all-around wonderful people. Dr. D brings considerable experience with education theory and practice. Everyone had helpful insight at our conferences. They love talking about the kids. They were willing to reinforce things that we worked on at home, like empathy, imagination, or potty training. They will also tell it like it is: You'll hear something if your kid is in diapers at four or five. It is Long Island, after all.The facilities are large and thoughtfully designed. Mr. Jason teaches Pre-K students in one room. Ms. Jennifer and Dr. D have younger kids in another. There's a fair bit of crossover, where younger kids join the Pre-K students for some activities, parties, and play. Kids without younger siblings play eldest to the little ones, and likewise. We'll have fond memories.”
“I would recommend The Goddard School of Hastings on Hudson because of its experienced staff, comprehensive educational programs, and nurturing environment for children.”
“I received a superb medical education at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I practiced medicine for 50 years that included 2 years practicing adult medicine in the United States Public Health Service and 3 years as a resident in Ophthalmology. During those 5 years I had a regular weekly stint working as an Emergency Room physician at a very busy hospital. I retired from my private solo Ophthalmology practice after 44 years. The fabulous education I received at Einstein enabled me to function at the highest level in every medical situation I encountered with the knowledge and experience that was required.”
“My children have been at Pat-A-Cake since they were in the infant room at five months old. We have made our way up to the Pre K room and have loved every stop along the way. The facility is clean and filled with fun and education material for the children. My children have made wonderful friends in their classes and have connected with each of their teachers. It is obviously that the staff cares deeply for the children and they go above and beyond to make the environment both fun and education. The socialization, education and nurturing my children have experience here have been priceless. We enjoy seeing smiling parents in the parking lot and happy kids running inside to see their teachers in the morning. I cannot recommend Pat-A-Cake enough!”
“I love that this is a house, the class rooms feel like living rooms. They have many playgrounds outside and the kids go out two or three times a day, weather depending. In the summer they play with water outside. My child loves it, our second one will go there, too. It was recommended by my neighbors who bring their second one there. One complaint is that they use disposable plastic ware for food and drinks. Sadly this is normal in this country and is usually difficult to fix due to lack of space, this is why I am understanding for their situation and do not subtract a star ;)”
“it brought me way back to my.old time the beautiful time I had with my old time crew, seeing the paranda on television , it was beautiful I'm 76 yrs. old so your know I come from the old days God bless all of your to make this possible merry Xmas ?”
“As a mother, we always try to choose the best for our children, and this nursery is among the clean and equipped nurseries, although I changed my residence and became far away, but I did not find something like it, and I will leave my son to complete it. I thank them for all their efforts and for their contribution to building the next generation.”
“In 2015, Discovering Me welcomed our family, and now after 8 years and 3 children in the program we must sadly say our goodbyes. We feel so grateful to have found this program!Discovering Me provides a child friendly learning environment, with many opportunities for kids to be independent. All three of my children mastered many self help skills needed for everyday tasks, that made my life a whole lot easier. The program maintains positive adult-child relationships, and encourages family engagement. Carol and Laurie prepare monthly newsletters to inform families of the happenings and add friendly reminders. The program follows daily routines, and schedules that helped my children feel safe and secure in knowing what to expect when they arrived at school each day. We always looked at the monthly calendar sent home to see what the themes were each week. My kids loved looking for books or toys related to the theme and on occasion I was convinced to buy clothes to match the theme. My daughter now has a very stylish dinosaur dress. All three of my children were lucky to have Mrs. Christine, and assistant Ms. Dee. She has a great reputation in the community, and she is a passionate teacher that provides a warm and comforting environment. All of my kids LOVED going to school and talk about Mrs. Christine as if she is part of our family.I firmly believe that building an early positive association with learning is essential to our kids' growth. All of my children found a solid beginning at Discovering Me. The graduation ceremony is magnificent. They really do a great job!”
