Terrible experience, demanded I left my purse at the counter, calling it a backpack. It's not a backpack but can be worn like one. Liability on their part for many reasons, no thanks! I reluctantly left my purse, minus my keys, wallet, and phone. Who knows if they were trying to steal from ME? I DON'T! If you're going to require people to leave their purses and backpacks at the counter, you'd want to consider getting lockers and handing the customer the key so they feel confident you're not taking their stuff. Won't be going back, not that they care anyway. Should get ZERO stars. Heads up to all if you honest, innocent mamas who use backpacks as a purse, or have a purse that has two straps to wear over your shoulder or as a backpack... You'll be profiled really quickly, even though it's probably much faster for people who wear handbags over their shoulder to steal, than it is to take off a backpack, put an item in, and put it back on in your back. Where's the feckin' logic? I think maybe it's a power-hungry employee.

I like Five Below. They have reasonable pricing and tons of interesting stock in the store. There is a huge selection of various products (in a relatively medium size store) including clothing, womans beauty products, odd electronics, pet supplies, candy, party supplies, and most important to me, toys.
I collect toys and also use them in creating my own art and swing by once a month to see whats new. I always find something I want. Right now 1980's toys and miniatures are popular, and Five Below has lots of both! I was so happy to find mini plastic lockers (with a little doll) that I bought four because I have an artistic concept they are perfect for.
I'm giving a four star review because of the greeting, staffing and overall state of the store. Every time I go in the store it is in complete dissaray with merchandise. Frieght boxes to be put on the shelves are on the floor everywhere (but I may just be consistantly arriving on days they get a shipment?) The shelves and pegs are absolutely packed to the point you can't easily shop and there is actually too much to look at. I know that sounds weird but it really is overwhelming. I'm pretty sure that inorder to see everything there I would have to stay overnight.
As far as the greeting, please stop making the staff scream "Welcome to Five Below" from wherever they are in the store every time someone enters. It's not neccessary because:
A: I know what door I walked through
B: it is completely not genuine and everyone knows it. There is no way it will ever increase my spending.
C: I cringe hearing it because I imagine the employees vocal cords are raw. Im sure there are lots of worker comp cases for that.
In conclusion, please hire more staff at a livible wage so they can stock and more genuinely greet me as I browse. I will still encourage everyone to go to Five Below because of their neat cheap items, but be prepared to stay a while or visit multiple times. They also have the biggest selection of candy and snacks so you won't starve :).

Five Below used to mean $5.00 and below $5.00. I went there expecting that and the item I was looking for was $25.00! The store was very crowded with merchandise to the point that you couldn't even drive a shopping cart through. Stuff everywhere. Amazon it is from now on!

For dedicating 5 years to this location and keeping it afloat from day 1 from old location to new i can say this company is a scam and working for them is a waste of time and effort.
