Terrible experience with this location. Noticed 4 different charges on my card. They charged me $79($10 per gallon) to fuel up a Chevy impala that was just below a 1/2 tank. I wouldn’t recommend this location or this company to anyone. Please spread the word about this horrible experience

Not sure how this character eli still has a job. He has the worst attitude and just an overall nasty demeanor. My 1st vehicle was given to me with body damage that I was not informed of then the taillight was out. Also it was my 1st time renting an electric vehicle and he didn't bother to explain anything to me. He is not helpful and rushes through everything with an attitude and does not give you complete information/responses he just pushes you off, is short & abrasive in all responses and transactions. I tried to avoid dealing with him and always asked for Roland. But unfortunately had to deal with him and it was awful. He even hung up on me and I m did not scream at him nor did I use foul language. I did tell him he was very rude. He seems to just hate his entire life and job, he should not be dealing with customers at all. After my interaction with him I went to see what the reviews said and the majority of the negative reviews were almost all about him. How is management not addressing this guy and how does he still have a job!?!?!?!!!! Hello corporate why is this not being addressed? Why are your customers paying to have this type of person handling their rental process? HERTZ and their managers need to do better at this location.

I rented a car from a company and they were able to withdraw money from my card, and when the car arrived it looked like this and I told the employee, Eli, I work with Uber in this car. I may lose service because of this car. Should I have it cleaned by specialized people and bring you the balance and they will pay me the cost of cleaning the car? He tells me he doesn't pay you anything for rent. The car is 260 dollars and the first 400 dollars. He does not know why he raised this amount in this way. The inside of the car smells very bad and he does not want to help me or change the car. When I asked him to change the car, he said I will give you another one, but 500 dollars. When she shouted at me, he said there is no benefit for you, neither in the future nor Now there are a lot of cars available. A personal rental before me had a complete Tesla car, including taxes, for only $400, and I have a small car for $400. It is not fair when it rides with custom. It will give me a rating of A and I will lose my job because of the car. Look at it, it is insulting, and you are the judge on that. Is this a car for if I were? Do you and your family take this car?

Rented the car through Uber. Guy drove the car through mud to get out front and was dirty. Car needed maintenance (brakes bled). I returned the car and then got charged 50$ for going through one toll. The pass in the car says 10$ to use it plus applicable till I assume. I’ve been trying to contact the guys at the shop for clarity and no phone number is answered and the answer service continuously tries to get you to go online. Terrible hidden fees and charges. Definitely won’t be going to this Hertz location again.I see the response. Tried the link. It didn’t work. How hard is it for a business to have a working telephone number? Another fail on Hertz part. Great job with the quick response fail….. just lowered the stars more due to horrible customer service.

Only employee had to wait 30 minutes and was charged a whole extra day even though i asked for only 7 days.

This place gets 0/Zero stars. I'm not even going into a long drawn out post. HERTZ LATHAM IS HORRIBLE. Harold & Eli are both miserable. I hope one day undercover boss pop up on them, then maybe they will do some attitude adjustments. Eli is helping this company get a lawsuit quick and fast. He basically called me dirty and said every car they have for Uber drivers will have something wrong with it. The first car they gave me Kia soul was beat up all around the car. Example: dents, scratches, dusty, dirty, inside & out. The next car they gave me had blown out speakers. No consideration for adjusting price for they issues. This rental service stressed me out. Eli do not clean out the vehicles probably and give attitude & throw insults at the customers. There were other customers there that had to switch out vehicles. One guy Tesla wouldn't even start. That's a shame! Oh by the way! I told Eli I'm going to file a complaint he stated "Go ahead Hertz already know about these cars being messed up" Hertz Latham is AWFUL ...no pictures added just go on the lot and see for yourself. If you don't take my word for it. I don't have nothing to lie about. This is an honest review. HERTZ please dont comment on here that your sorry for the experience, because your staff don't act like it. I even went to Schenectady location because Eli said thats where the general manager is he didn't even come from out the office ? the front desk heard me out, but all the cars they had available were not drivable.

Eli customer service is absolutely ridiculous why is he here servant early in the morning with such attitude and bad energy is not the welcome feeling someone would like to receive when renting a car. I had booked however had to cancel due to nasty customer service and NASTY CAR ! Turn around don’t come here. This guy needs to lose his job his attitude is outrageous.

They charged me for days I did not have the rental car and it was dropped off at the body shop as they required. Then they said they would refund me the money, which they never did.They don't answer the phones and their mailbox is full so you can't leave a voicemail.

I tried to pick up my rental. This place is closed when it is supposed to be open. There is no way to talk to a real person either locally or nationally so I am stranded on the side of the road.

The person by the name Eli who works there is very nasty and unprofessional they took money out of my account even after I made a accident report they changed me for rental and gas when I fill the up every day for work and I be riding up and down all day after picking up passengers with Uber so of course when they recover the car it’s going to have less gas i currently have a atterny trying to see if im eligible for a lawsuit and I also made a claim against them so let’s hope the best for me because now I’m left with no money to feed myself and my daughter or buy other needs

When I was picking my car up the person behind the desk was arguing with someone about a $400 cleaning charge. He told the person on the phone to contact their credit card to dispute it. Didn't think much of it until I received a $400! Outside washing charge. The only thing on the car was a light dusting of pollen.

I booked a rental through a third party website for a business trip. The website said that I could pick up my rental anytime after 12pm. I called to confirm that there would be a car available and I informed the person on the phone (who I believe was the manager) that I would be in later in the afternoon the next day, which they said was fine. I got to the location at 4pm and the employee looks at my rental request and tells me that he can't believe I'm over four hours late. The manager comes out and the employee tells him my name and they roll their eyes at each other.When I dropped the car off, the manager asked if I was underage and after I confirmed, he said "Oh well that explains it". Not sure what he was referring to but overall the customer service was horrible.I have gone to Enterprise every other time and have never had a problem. Next time Enterprise is out of cars I will be avoiding this place.

I booked online at 11am for 3pm pick-up. Took a taxi there - they had my reservation but no car and the service agent was not interested in helping out in any way. He said we were the 5th client today with no car! He said the booking system online is not connected to actual store inventory! WILL NEVER BOOK WITH HERTZ EVER AGAIN. You get 1 star for easily allowing me to cancel the reservation that could not be provided.

The manager Roland is phenomenal. After struggling for a week to find time to make it to the location due to working during regular hours he offered to stay after hours for me one day so I could get there to get a rental so I can finally get my car to the body shop. Deff knows how to go above and beyond to help a single mom with a million things on her plate .
