Our kitty Maverick had chewed the band of a price tag and got it stuck in his teeth to where I couldn't pull it out because I was afraid of hurting him. I called and was told a 2 to 3 hour wait, was seen in under 2 hours and was charged 0$ because they said it was easy to get out. Kind and professional staff.

Felt like the doctor didn’t take me or the visit seriously. She was very presumptuous and clearly didn’t bother to do the bare minimum amount of prep before seeing my dog because she was convinced the whole visit that he was actually a girl. I opted out of any sort of testing or further examination because I didn’t feel confident in the staff. Waste of time and money.

I come from Clay NY to bring my Caviliar King Charles dog to Dr. Wey. The care and attention my pet gets is definitely worth the two hour visit. Dr Wey doesn’t rush through our appointments and takes the time to explain everything clearly.

Brought my dog in for an emergency c section after being in labor all day. I called vets everywhere and told can’t do it today because it’s Saturday. Drove an hour and 45 minutes there. Was checked in and from there everything was about money. I was quoted on the phone $3k-6k. I sat there for 2 hours with them doing nothing for my dog that was an emergency and they are demanding close to 7k before they will call a surgeon in, when we were under the impression they had one there. They wanted to do X-rays and bloodwork that wasn’t necessary, would not let me opt out of it. I left and went to Capital District Vet Les than a mile a way. They got us in and got my dog taken care of. I did loose 3 pups because of them taking care of my dog. Do not go here they only want your money. I paid less than what I was told and treated wonderfuly elsewhere. They need to open their eyes and see we have other options.

Great service on a Saturday morning. I wish I had same staff names to shout out but thank you everyone working on 1/20/24

Long waits here and the staff at the front deck are not the most friendly or sympathetic to the people that come in with non emergency issues. Understand that some animals come in with major issues but they need a better system to prioritize when animals arrive to when they are seen. Been sitting here for 6 hours with no end in sight.

My Great Dane was a long time patient of the Cardiology Specialist here. The care my Dane received was top notch. It extended his life beyond both our cardiologist and our expectations. We are forever grateful. I highly recommend.

Although they were incredibly busy, the entire staff did an amazing job with being attentive to our dog, Chewie. This is the second time (in a few weeks) we have had to go, and they were nothing short of fantastic. Thank you so much!

I will preface my review by saying that the ONLY benefit of the doubt that can be given is that it was holiday weekend. I waited for 12 hours to have my Corgi seen on my last visit to the emergency room. 12 hours. 12 fn hours. And when I finally did see the doctor, the doctor was fine. I got meds for my dog which probably could have been taken care of a lot sooner than 12 hours. A 12 hour wait speaks to me of poor process rather than being overwhelmed by an overcrowded waiting room. It also smacks a bit of negligence. One tech jokingly remarked that I had now worked a shift at UVS - except I didn't get paid and my pet got worse while I waited. And I left $500 buck poorer than I came in. Haha! That's. A good one. They won't keep a list and call you to come back when you're in a certain time frame of your pet being seen. So essentially you and your pet are a hostage in the waiting room until they deem your case ready to be seen. Techs round on the first 1/2 hour with your pet, take vitals and then it's another 6 or 8 hours more before another set. As I sat in the waiting room, another beloved pet, literally passed out before his case could be seen. On another visit, with my cat, (a long time ago) a similar wait time ensued. And by the time the vet saw my cat, she was beyond saving. Again the ONLY benefit of the doubt, is that it was a holiday weekend with all other vets being closed. So there was a funnel of convergence. But since the experience was similar from the last time I went... maybe there's no impetus to be better since our choices in the Capital Region are slim when it come to emergency veterinary care.

Every office they have is always rude, when faced with an emergency I was told they are at capacity and to look online.

I brought my cane corso boxer mix Moose in last night after being misdiagnosed by our primary vet. He was lethargic after our primary vet told us "everything's fine, no concerns." Turns out he was internally bleeding, after X-rays and scans at primary vet all showed "clear." Turns out he was internally bleeding.. I don't remember the name of the doctor at Upstate Vet.. but she was amazing. Patient, kind, caring, and HONEST. I can't imagine having to tell families that their fur babies aren't going to make it, but she did it with grace and explained everything thoroughly to me. All front desk staff and everyone we encountered was kind and empathetic. We had to lay our baby to rest last night.. it's a pain that will always hurt. But the care we received at Upstate softened the blow. Thank you Upstate for handling my family, and Moose, with grace. You are all so special.

My baby was diagnosed with cancer ? and I brought him here to Dr.Verrilli and she was amazing with him. Majority of the staff was, by our 3rd visit David was greeting my dog by name as we walked in and as many patients as they see night& day I couldn't imagine being able to keep track of names but that was confirmation of how much my dog was cared for by their team. After his passing ? they have sent their condolences and it really goes to show that not only do they care for your pet, they care for the pet parent as well & I would recommend them to ANYONE!! I'm happy I brought my fur baby to them this was actually the first pet hospital he wasn't afraid to repeatedly return to so that spoke volumes as well. Thank you all who made the last of Diddy's day a little bit easier I am grateful we found you all and took the best care of my baby. #LongLiveDiddy?
