We took our dog in for emergency appointment. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. We felt like they had our dog and our best interest in hand.

I used to be a fan of this vet until today. My cat came in with a patch on his upper neck & they said it was from the healing of a surgery he had to have. But yet his surgery was on his lower half of his body. and even his hair there has fully grown back. I feel like we were told anything & rushed out because we were the last appointment. It’s not worth it to pay for an exam when the pet is not actually examined

I have been going to Shaker Vet for 50 years. I always feel my pets are well cared for. I am especially pleased right now with Dr. Towery. He is knowledgeable, kind, and so helpful.

VCA certainly takes care of my dog's medical needs, but they go the extra mile. I was hesitant to board my little one, but the staff love my pup while I'm away and genuinely love spending quality time with her. Photo updates of her rolling in the grass and sniffing the sites allow me peace of mind. Big thanks to everyone at VCA Shaker - vets, techs, front desk, kennel staff, etc. - I appreciate how you care for my pup

Today was the first visit for my St. Bernard puppy-Peaches. All in all it was a great visit- most of the staff were helpful and personable and Jess, Danielle & Dr. Patrick were wonderful with Peaches! I did feel very well informed and was Offered a care plan which Jess went over the particulars of, but Apparently things got changed before I got to the checkout window unbeknownst to me. Jess was kind and came up front to assist and explain the changes made at the suggestion of Dr Patrick. I did have to call the office after I got home, as I forgot to present a coupon- I spoke with Kirsten who was exceptionally helpful and friendly. I am hopeful they will honor the coupon to help with the cost of my initial visit.

I highly recommend VCA Shaker Animal for your pet(s). I was able to get an appointment the same day, and there was no wait. The staff is awesome. I say this because they listened and answered my questions in a professional and compassionate manner.

Stay away from this practice. They do not care one bit for the pets or their owners. I can not believe they are in business. This review is about the front desk staff that, apparently, have full reign over the place. I never got past this viscous duo. I brought my cat in for a scheduled appointment. He has been a patient for at least 6 years. We were 10 minutes late because I had problems getting him into his cage.I apologized on arrival and they laughed and agreed that it is hard . They let me sit there for 10 additional minutes, then very nonchalantly informed me that the doctors had moved on to other patients and that I would have to reschedule. I was the only person in the waiting room. They were very smug about it. I asked if they could reconsider because my cat is a difficult traveler . The reply was "no, there is nothing we can do". I said I could wait, again a negative response. I will never patronize this business again and hope you think twice.

The doctors are wonderful, along with most of the entry level staff. But the majority of upper management, the medical director excluded, are unempathetic of their team and fellow staff. With the turnover rate you would think they would realize at some point that maybe they are the problem. After reading over VCA as a whole on Glassdoor I understand why nothing was ever looked into including one manager listening to the security feed to hear if anyone was talking about them, the company as a whole seems to have terrible upper management all around. I wish the few remaining employees the best of luck and hope-know- their next adventure will treat them better than this one.

Great vet to bring your fur babies to. They always try their best to get me in asap. They also have a wellness plan you can sign up for that you pay monthly and includes unlimited vet visits, all their shots, microchip, lab work and more starting at $52/month for kitties! And they always call the next day to check up on your pets too. I bring both my kitties #pinky_squeakie (Instagram)

Very pricy. Dog vets have very little personality. Robots ? come to mind. But care is great. They have a lot of therapies. We might change to another Veterans. Haven't yet because our fur babies is in long term care. Afraid to change.
