“Absolutely the best place to go. They have a wellness plan that pretty much covers the majority of the items needed yearly. Shots, Vet visits and multiple other items. At the Latham office Dr. Carpenter is absolutely awesome. Hands-down I will never take my animals to another vet ever again. Definitely one of the most intelligent and caring veterinarians I have worked with. We have an almost 16 year old minion/pug who has gone though everything and had we not had her seen here I don’t think she would be alive today.”

“We started in November with emergency care for my cat. Found out she had E-Coli and chronic renal failure. Two other vets hadn’t diagnosed this and it was clear on her lab work done a year ago. Had I known this I would have put her down. It was pricy treatment but she came back to us and only lasted 3 more months. Once again we went back here to put her down since it was time. They were very compassionate and kind and put us in a grieving room vs an exam room. The price was surprisingly fair considering they are an emergency vet. Thank you Drs Rogers, Gavin, staff, and the Dr that put her down. I was too upset to remember. It was a very peaceful passing and I’ll never forget the excellent care we received. Thank you so much!!! Since they are open 24/7 it was nice to know we could go anytime we needed to. I hope we don’t need emergency care in the near future, but when we do I will only go here!!!”

“If you are reading this review, you most likely have a pet. The word "pet" minimizes the relationship, the bond you have established with this, albeit furry member of your family. VCA Shaker acknowledges their patients by extending a tender approach in their care. My late chihuahua, a rescue, gave us joy for seventeen years. She survived the early onset of a heart condition because the staff of VCA Shaker monitored her condition and provided treatment that would ensure a quality of life for her remaining days. After she crossed the rainbow, Shaker sent condolences, a card signed by every member of the staff who had experienced an exchange with our "fur girl." That makes VCA Shaker more than a business (by the way it is owned by Mars - yup the candy maker) it's a pet sanctuary.”
