“I've tried, their rotisserie chicken, mashed potato, and chicken pot pie. Everything tasted great, the rotisserie chicken was well seasoned with savory skin, and still juicy inside. Mashed potatoes came with a side of gravy. Chicken pot pie had a good chicken to veggie ratio, and it was kinda creamy (my favorite type). Would recommend!”

Split pea soup as well .They don't cook with a lot of salt because the kosher community they are serving is mostly older. This guy is a Huge fan of not adding too much salt. “Best caterer I have ever worked with. Party perfect in the pouring rain! First and most important they accommodated allergies and food intolerance. Food was amazing and endless. Good amount of leftovers without being wasteful. Handled set up themselves, cooked food to accommodate personal preference. Desert and cakes were also setup and served. On time, professional, fun to work with. My guest couldn't have been happier. Definitely calling them again for our next event.”

The previous place left a void when it closed, so it's great to have an even better neighborhood supermarket fill that void.Unfortunately, there has been an increase in thefts recently and Marino's has had to create a new policy: no using your own bags to shop (use their baskets instead), and no "granny carts" at all. It's inconvenient, but we can't blame the store or its employees; they're simply reacting to a sad reality. I would avoid the specials. My sandwich was $16 but since I was full after one half I think the price is good. I will definitely come back when I can!”

“Cherry Valley is expensive, however, it's the only supermarket in the neighborhood that is walkable, unless you walk down to Golden Farms which is also another good one. If you want a hot Dominican breakfast or lunch, this is a great option. However, beware of expiration dates. They always have sales, which is awesome, and are always stocked and the place is super clean. Just be careful with what you are buying. I bought cereal on sale and the cereal was stale do to the bag being punctured. The staff here is great and always greeting you!”

“I've been a customer here for years, it's embarrassing it took me this long to write a review.... But the Meat here is by far the best in rockaway! It is a little on the pricey side BUT! You absolutely get what you pay for and worth every penny!! Fresh, quality meat. From Steak, to chicken, sausage,Sausage Spirals and patties, Sirloin burger patties are incredible! I've never had a bad peice of meat from here! If your in rockaway I would highly recommend Curran's!”

“I came here for fresh meats based off a recommendation from a friend and now I can't live without this place! I ordered a pork shoulder (pernil) and asked them to season it. They season it soooo well that my Latino friends think I made it. The fresh scent of seasonings permeated through my car on the ride home, and that's when I knew I would be a returning customer! Thus, all you have to do it pop it in the oven! Ive also had their marinated chicken (raw) and I just cooked it in the air fryer. If you are looking for a quality butcher and are "street savy" enough to go to Hempstead, this is the place. They also sell oxtails, ribs, pig feet (if that's what you are into) and fresh thick bacon.”
