“We stayed at ‘The Nautical Nest’ situated in the heart of Hudson Valley. It’s located on a quiet and charming side street. The room was absolutely lovely. Decorated with elegance & sophistication, with a modern touch. The bed was very comfortable and pillows & linens swept us swiftly into a deep and restful sleep. The sizable space has a writing desk, outdoor deck, and wonderful bathroom. The space also comes with a little kitchen, so you can store a little bit of food if you need.If you’re looking for 5 STAR accommodations in Hudson Valley, this is the place.”

“I’ve stayed with friends in “The Lodge” and most recently in “The Hideout”. Wonderful place. It is so peaceful. You could spend your stay relaxing at your tiny home and enjoying the amenities on site. There’s a pool, a tiny gym, a gorgeous waterfall as well as a 24/7 pantry with items you may have forgotten to bring with you or maybe just for a midnight snack. There are plenty of great hiking spots nearby as well as small towns with lots of character and shops. We’ll be back again soon!”

“As a wedding planner who recently did an event at Gather Greene, the venue is nothing short of magical. The Pavilion and the grounds are stunning, beautifully and thoughtfully designed. The cabins are absolutely adorable and drenched in gentle morning light filtering through the trees. What’s even more impressive is how flawlessly it’s run. From the very start, their communication was clear and timely, expectations and guidelines were laid out simply and transparently, and everything unfolded with ease. It truly made my job as a planner so much smoother. If you're looking for a gorgeous, well-managed venue that glows both in ambiance and execution, Gather Greene checks every box.”

“The Gertsberger, Weingard family and their awesome team bring the best each and every year. Their work ethic and caring is OUTSTANDING! Your home a way from home place. Been going up for decades! The best way to describe Glenbrook Farms for me “is a piece of heaven cut out” and placed in Upstate NY for families to enjoy for generations. If you expect and demand a franchise hotel room, with WiFi, ton of cable channels and a mint on pillow than this place is not for you. However if you are looking for a great time for your kids and family, three meals a day, the ability to visit with some farm animals, play basketball, softball, swim, take in the sun, handball, bonfire, hangout with friends and family at night, enjoy a firework night, relax all day, sit back and listen to music and play games in their family style lounge, than Glenbrook Farms will definitely provide awesome memories, enjoyment! It’s the real deal and you will see that when you walk across their stream, take in the view and walk around a Great Lake with fishing! Place is awesome. God Bless”

“Magical family feel but some outdoor activities would be great, and upgrades to indoor bowling alley and basement feels neglected in terms of fun and cleaning. Almost like guest don’t actually go down there to play. Missed space for opportunity and guest interaction/fun.”

“A true getaway from the city!

My partner and I loved our stay here. The cabins are nestled between gorgeous pines & have all your basic needs covered.

The cabin was the perfect size for the two of us. We initially booked two nights, and stayed an extra night to enjoy the quiet woods, fireside eating, and the nearby hiking.

There are so many trails just a short drive away. It felt nice to come back to our cozy cabin and have a hot shower after spending the day outdoors.

Definitely recommend bringing an iron skillet or anything else you need to cook by fire.

Wonderful experience. We look forward to returning.

Nearby activities: Near Katerskill Falls, North-South Lake, and many other hiking trails. Windham Mountain, Mine Kill, & Elm Ridge are a beautiful scenic drive away.

Food & drinks: Expect your basic needs covered and a nice grocery nearby to stock up on extras.

The cabin included 2 1L boxes of water, salt & pepper, olive oil in packets, sugar/sweeteners, packs of teas & coffee, and a s’more’s kit.

We brought our own seasonings & ingredients for breakfast + snacks as well as more water + beverage options.

Also, there are lovely restaurants nearby to try like Julia’s Local & the Yellow Deli.”

“Really enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend it to others.

The location of the Hudson Whaler can’t be beat. It’s right in the downtown area of Hudson. Easily walkable to all of the nearby shops and restaurants. Parking was easy - there is a lot in the back that you will get a permit from at check in.

The room I had was very clean and stylishly decorated. There shower had jets included, which were quite the experience. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were great - I really had a good night of sleep here.

Check in was easy - I called ahead and got there right at 7, which is when the front desk staff heads out. She was kind enough to wait a few extra minutes for me, which I appreciated. Check out was easy as well.

I only stayed one night, but I would absolutely book again without hesitation if I was returning to the area.”

“What a great little find. We were only here overnight, but it was super nice. Very convenient being on the “it” street. The room, and the entire building, was very clean. A community fridge, coffee, espresso machines is a great idea. The no contact check in threw us for a loop at first. But we then re-read our confirmation ….duh! Instructions were clear. Would definitely stay here again ?”

“Nice staff, convenient location 15 minutes drive from Catskill. They turned on the pool 1 hour before the regular time so we could enjoy it before checkout. No vreakfast, but we used a picnic table near the pool to make our own breakfast.
Rooms are cozy though air consitioning is old and noisy, but we did not need it much.
Located close to a road so there was a bit of car noise. Great mountainous area will good views.
Great value for money, cheaper than anything around, at least on Google and Booking”

“My 2 days stay at the Piaule Catskill was such a pleasant surprise. I came to learn about this place when I was randomly checking for luxury retreats in upstate NY.
I chose one of the elevated cabins which provided me with a stunning view of the woods. The cabin was chic with what I would say a minimalist design. The place offered much solitude and space for relaxation and unwinding. I think i had two of my quitiest sleeps this year literally as if I had ear plugs in my ear.
Within the property there are trails for hiking and observing nature. Other services include a small steam pool with stunning views of the Catskills mountains. The restaurant offers high quality dining. Loved the ravioli and the hummus salad.
Everyone in the staff were friendly and attentive
I loved the place. I had some stressful times this year and I longed for a place to relax. The Piaule gave me what I longed for”

“Holiday inn express is one of my favorite chains to use for reliability, cleanliness, and level of service. Everyone has a rough time once in a while, main reason I come here is for home away from home while I work. This place is fairly clean, and the staff did their best. After a 9 hour drive I was looking forward to getting into the hot tub to relax my back. 4 day stay, the hot tub amd pool were out of service for maintenance. This is important to me as hotels dont jave tubs anymore, just showers. I really wanted to soak my body after work and the long drive.
Staff had no clue what was wrong with the pool or when it would be back up and running.
Come to find out when I called to book and asked if they had a pool and hot tub it wasn't working. I guess its my fault for not asking if it was functional when I booked.
I went to iron my clothes for work, to find that the iron in my room is broken.
Holiday Inn had a rough week.
483.00 for 3 nights plus New York Taxes on taxes. Im sure they will fix all the problems before my next visit.
On to the great stuff. The beds are very comfortable, clean. The hot water is constant, breakfast is very good as well.
They have those new coffee machines that brew the perfect cup every time.
The town doesn't have much, but there is a family run restaurant near by called Paul's. Its authentic Italian and Let me tell you about seafood just down the road from the hotel called Reds. Very good offerings.
If you need a hot tub or pool, ask if its working before you book.

I got let down a bit but hey no one is perfect all the time! See you all next time
.... if ypur pool and hot tub are fixed.”

“My husband and I spent 3 days last week at the Inn. We have been there many times through the years. It is under a new ownership who continues to make you feel very comfortable. They gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. The manager went out of her way to accommodate my gluten free diet supplying me with GF muffins and more. The room was cozy. Our dog loved it there. It was a very positive experience.”

“My husband and I stayed here for one night for a quick one day vacation through Hudson. It's an easy and pretty 5 minute walk to the main street where all the restaurants and shops are. We weren't looking for a fancy hotel. We just wanted a simple and clean place to stay for the night which is exactly what this place is. The front desk was very helpful and the breakfast in morning was a nice combination of eggs, sausage, waffles (you make em!), and coffee. Highly recommend.”
