Why on earth are we hiring Hispanic women that don't speak any English? What a world.

Sad this place went downhill. Things are overpriced they have prices on items from the original store and unique is charging double.
Never really make a review for places until today. Manager saw that my kid took off a tag to a toy that she wanted bc I said we were getting it. He refused to sell the toy even thought the tag was in my hand with a screaming baby. Wow! Seriously I’m like just price it what you want I will still buy it . They said no and threw it on the side
Horrible horrible horrible customer skills. No one can answer a question here unless you speak Spanish.
I really don’t think any of the money that is spent here is going to the community which is sad. Wasn’t that that original theme of this place.
I will take my donations other places and pass on the word!

MyUnique, Levittown, has been a place my family has visited since it was “Mays” department store decades ago. Today, I had such a horrible experience that I will NOT shop there again and will advise everyone I know the same. While I was helping my thrifter niece look for items, after going through a rack, I turned to walk away and something sharp slashed my elbow. Initially, I figured it just stung more than the actual injury until it began bleeding profusely. I searched for help and came across a very nice worker. I wish I knew her name to compliment her. She asked if I needed a band-aid and called for a manager, named, “Matthew”. He was amazing! He gathered bandages, spray, gauze, etc. He sprayed the open wound and bandaged it. I didn’t even have to ask for an incident report because he had one. He also advised that I go to urgent care because we could not stop the bleeding. He called for his boss, named, “Jim” to inform him about the incident. This guy acted as though he had no interest at all in what happened. I explained to him that the injury was due to their negligence and asked if there was some sort of claim number to use at urgent care. He told me to just bring the receipt and they would pay. I asked him to put that in writing because we were not familiar with one another. He said, “I’m not putting that in writing!” Puzzled, I asked if he would instead go on video stating that they will pay and he said, “I’m not getting on any video” or something close to that. He walked away and refused to address the matter any further. It was clear to me that the one who should be his boss is Matthew! Jim has no compassion, empathy or professionalism. He needs to be retrained! After that horror show, I went to CityMD to have the slash glued and they gave me a tetanus shot. What fun! The only reason I gave 2 stars was because of superstar Matthew and the nice lady who initially assisted me. I thank you two again! Jim, take lessons from them! No class! SMH!

THERE PRICING IS OUTRAGEOUS. Go to the one in westbury it’s better.

Great place, nice little food court, some arcade games, little flea market, card bazaar.
If you check often you can get some really good deals on the clothes. Some better finds than a lot of the other thrift stores.

Today I went, and the labels of some clothes were loose, they thought I was stealing, the ladies in front reset the account and I took off the clothes, I wanted to tell them to put cameras even on the meters if it is that much No doubt, people who really steal don't pay attention.

You will need to have an idea of how much items you want, the cost, or you may end up over paying. I gave them 4 stars because the constant price increase.

I have been coming to this thrift store for almost 20 years and I have always loved it. However, I went there yesterday for the first time in a couple of years and noticed they switched to self checkout. This would usually be fine with me BUT since they are so concerned about stealing, they have an employee standing at every self checkout terminal. What is the point of this? I don't feel comfortable with someone standing over me like that. I really wanted to hand her my items and tell her to ring them up for me if she doesn't trust me. This is not the kind of place that benefits from self checkout. And all that just for the security guard at the door to pretend to look at my receipt for one second and not check my items. So... all pointless.
My other gripe is the prices. Most of the clothes are reasonable but there are some decorations and furniture that is so overpriced it makes no sense. There was a framed certificate for some kind of women's temple or something. It would be of no use to literally anyone who isn't that person whose certificate it was. It was marked at 10 bucks. Insane. They don't need to sell everything that comes in. Some stuff really can just go in the trash. It's ok I promise! That 5 year old girl that made a stick sculpture will never know her project didn't make it to the thrift store.

This is a pretty cool place to hunt for unique treasures that are so generously donated by people, but certain staff members are really on some wild megalomaniac, nasty power trip for absolutely no reason.
There's a certain way to speak to customers, and if you don't have the capability to interact with people, please, hang up your shirt, and go home. There's absolutely no reason to be miserable, rude, disrespectful, and a flat-out liar.
My friend picked out an entire TV series of DVDs. Every single box set had a price on it except for one. Upon going to the checkout counter, she inquired about it, and the woman took it and said she couldn't buy it because there was no price. She took it, and stood there like a hawk watching her scan the rest of the items.
My friend asked if they would create a price tag for her so she could buy the untagged set because she already had every single other season of it paid for. This woman said very nastily, no, we won't be making any tags for you, you can't buy this.
My friend asked for a manager, to which this woman responded: there's no manager available, she's eating lunch. (It was about 10:20 am on Saturday, twenty minutes after opening). I had to jump in here, and I said, your manager is eating lunch at 10:20 in the morning? You guys literally just opened. This woman then responds, oh she's praying. I said, she's praying? First you tell me she's eating lunch, now she's praying? Which one is it? You mean to tell me you opened 20 minutes ago and your manager said, see you later guys, I gotta go have lunch and pray? Come on man.
I called her out on it, and she finally got on her walkie-talkie asking for a manager in Spanish. She then points down the aisle all the way across the entire building and says oh there's the manager go speak to her. I said you going to go tell your manager to come up here right? And she goes no go walk down there. So my friend goes, can I take the DVD then to discuss this with her, and she was like no you can't touch anything. Meanwhile, this is like a $4.99 item. Literally stood there guarding it with her life.
My friend goes and walks to go meet whatever manager this was and there was literally no one there to talk to.
Finally a man walks out, (not a female, by the way), not even sure who this man was, but he says that store policy is that anything that is unmarked can't be sold, and it has to go back into the processing area to be tagged for pricing.
If this would have been said in a clear and concise manner from the get-go there wouldn't have been a problem.
I'm going to help you out, lady, this is what that sounds like:
"I'm so sorry for this oversight, it looks like this item was not priced. Our store policy says we cannot sell this item, and it has to go back into the processing area to be tagged. I unfortunately can't sell it to you at this time."
Do you see how this sounds versus, "You can't touch this, you can't have this, my manager is praying and having lunch."
Absolute clown show.
We walk out and I turn my head, and this nasty piece of work is laughing. We went upstairs to look at the used DVD section where the kind girls work, and as we came back down she was still looking for us and still laughing, still with a nasty smirk on her face like she was cute.
You're not cute, girlie.
TRAIN YOUR STAFF BETTER. From reading the reviews, it's very clear you have an attitude problem with your workers.

I loved coming here until today. I wanted to buy a DVD that did not have a sticker. For reference, I was purchasing Seasons 1-3 and season 4 of the TV Show Absolutely Fabulous. I wanted to also purchase season 5 since it was together but it was missing a sticker. I asked the girl at the register for help and she grabbed the DVD from me and very nastily said “no” I asked again because what?! Very nasty she goes “no you can buy it tomorrow” im so confused so I ask for a manager. First she tells me her manager is on lunch. I was here at 1030am. They open at 10am. Come on. I ask again. Now she tells me that the manager was downstairs. Which is it? Why is this woman lying?? I ask her to call for a manger. I’m waiting. I see someone on the other side of the store. I ask if I can have the DVD to go to explain to the other one and she rudely covers th DVD and says “no!!” This was honestly the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in my life. She should absolutely be trained better on how to speak with customers. After waiting another 10 minutes an older gentleman came over. He said he was the manager but I don’t believe he was. He was also rude. He literally said to me “you got this on the shelf here?” As if I brought it in and asked to pay for it? Of course I found it on the shelf!!! I showed him the other ones I paid for and he wouldn’t let me buy it. I don’t even care about the DVD anymore but when I tried to report the girls horrid behavior the guy didn’t even care. Terribly run store

It Used to be a great store, but now the prices are getting so high for eveything. I found a few items that were $39.99 for knick knacks. These are not Vintage antiques .You can find cheaper price items at TJ Maxx and Marshalls New ! People keep saying it's because people are buying and selling online.. That should be Nobody's Business what anybody does with it after... These are donation they need to be affordable.. sandly stores get greedy

Worst service ever! Once the fitting rooms get busy, the workers will start yelling at you and rushing you! Shouldn’t they think about getting more fitting rooms instead of yelling at the customers! At the end, the woman even opened my changing room when I hadn’t worn my shirt yet! Kept the door open the whole time until I came out and wasn’t sorry about it! Giving a 0 if I could!!!!!
