“We took our TEAC BX 500 Integrated Amp to Cronk's Electronics in Liberty NY in January 2026..it was purchased new in 1981...it worked for many years and stopped functioning around 2004..it was put away for the next 22 years and we then decided to revive it..we were quoted a price for repair which was extremely reasonable...they advised it may take a while to fix it which was fine with us...we were just happy to find a repair shop that can fix the older equipment...they found other issues with it after they started repairs and kept us updated along the way..I advised them if it wasn't worth putting the time into it that was ok...they were determined to get it back to operating condition so we said do what you can..we got a call in April that is was repaired and ready for pickup....I know they had many hours into this than was originally expected but they stayed with their original repair quote ...in this throw away society it is nice to see someone who wants to preserve this older audio equipment...I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs their older equipment repaired...these places are far and few between...I also have an older Nakamichi receiver I will be bringing them at some time in the near future...great people..great service...would give 10 stars if possible...”
