Dr. Ken is amazing with our dogs! He gets back to us with any questions we have if one of our dogs is not feeling well even on the holidays. All of the staff here are super nice and make both our dogs feel very cared for and comfortable anytime we come in.

I recently called Dr. Bedell on a Sunday afternoon while in NC in a panic not knowing what to do with my dog who was having issues. Dr. Bedell called me back WITHIN MINUTES!!!! ... while he was enjoying a hike on a beautiful day in NY in January. He was so nice and listened to what was going on and calmed me down. He then reccomended that I take the dog to an emergency vet hospital in the area ... which i did ... Thankfully it was not a huge deal and I was very happy he made that recommendation!!!Dr. BEDELL and his staff are always kind and helpful and very knowledgeable as well as so compassionate and understanding!!!!I am very thankful for all the staff and Dr. Bedell !!!!

I have used this vet over the last year for the care of our cats. In particular, my older cat has diabetes and needs extra TLC as he receives 2 insulin injections daily. Over the course of the year the relationship with the clinic had been positive. However, in the throws of a recent personal/family crisis I realized I had not remembered to fill the cat's insulin by mistake. I will absolutely own that. When I called the pharmacy to refill it on a Saturday morning, I was informed it was out of refills and that they would contact the doctor before they closed at 12:00 pm that day. When we went to pick it up, the pharmacy had filled syringes (which we did not request) as opposed to the Basaglar insulin we needed. I do not know where the breakdown happened, but when I called the doctor's after-hours line to have it sent in urgently, he called me back and was heated and yelling at me over the phone. He actively shamed me for not filling the prescription in enough time and told me "this should NEVER be an emergency and had better not happen again!" He also became irate and attacked me over the number of syringes I have requested. At one point I had asked the vet center to move this prescription to a different pharmacy for convenience. However, when I learned how much they cost, I called the vet center back and asked that they cancel those refills and send it back over to Walmart. The support staff told me that this was no problem at all. I have never filled the script for any extra syringes. As a health care professional myself, I well understand the ramifications of this. On the emergency call with the doctor he told me I had requested over 2 years of syringes and that "that's a real red flag because drug abuse is a real thing!" I'm not sure if he was accusing me of being a drug addict or of doling out syringes to addicts, but this accusation was highly offensive. The call ended with me in tears in the middle of a public space with my family members. It felt as if I was being scolded like a little child by an angry parent. I have legitimately never been treated so poorly by a professional in the medical community. I will no longer be using their services as I am actually anxious and scared to ever need to ask them for help again! In reading some of the other reviews out there, it appears that I am not alone in being shamed, yelled at and attacked. Previously I had recommended this center to SO many people! Never again! I was so caught off guard by his behavior on the phone and the hostility he showed toward me. I then received a one sentence letter in the mail a few days later stating “it’s evident from your behavior that we are not a good fit.” This is the first time in my life I have ever felt compelled to leave a review for a business. I felt like I did not even know the person who contacted me that day!

Regular small town vet right? NOPE!!! It's a cover. Doctor Ken is literally a superhero! Lorie... his fine young assistant! Together, in the middle of the night, they can work miracles. And in times where very few, reliable options even exist, they excell!!!! I thank God for their knowledge, experience, compassion and professionalism under fire. We can not begin to show enough appreciation for LVC.

Usually dr ken is pretty good my grandma use to come in with my other cat buddy which he always had a good attitude towards her and was informative on how buddy was doing during the visit … today we weren’t able to bring both cats in so we brought our kitten in and his attitude was NOT kindly to be around sorta to say . He didn’t say much on how she was or didn’t put much input about her . Me and my mom were disappointed. We had forgot her main record which was a simple mistake so I understand if he was irritated about that he DIDNT have to see her if he didn’t want to . If he was upset i couldn’t bring my other cat in today then i don’t know . This is not my real name it’s just a username so but we did have a visit today

Doc is totally against chewy or pet meds..if ide have known I would of never went..now my dog will wait weeks to be treated because he refuses to talk to any online pet med..karma awaits this vet ..very sad wolf in sheep's clothing..drama queen

We love Dr. Ken and the staff at Lima Veterinary Center! Olive and Leia have been to see Dr. Ken numerous times since we recently switched vets. They are extremely professional and make sure the kitties are getting the best care possible. When we have had kitty emergencies, the office and Dr. Ken have called back in a timely manner and resolved the problem. They are the best and I highly recommend coming here!
