I almost hesitate to post this… I don’t hesitate for any reason except that if I increase the popularity, I’ll never be able to get an appointment ha ha.
I am a 40 something year-old mom of two children under five. I am a veterinary professional, so my patients are all dogs and cats and have never cared what I looked like (and my clients trust me implicitly, so ponytails suffice). I have not had my hair professionally cut in close to 15 years. I’ve known Andrew (owner) for 11 years as he did my wedding hair, and became my mother‘s beloved stylist.
Last week I walked in heart in hands and said “Andrew, I am useless. I need you to do whatever it takes to my hair to make it so that I can wash it, run my fingers through it, and go… I don’t have time for styling, I don’t have the need for fancy styles. But I need to look a little bit more put together.“
Andrew looked at me and said “I’ve got you sweetheart.”
What resulted is the Best Haircut I have had in my entire life. He gave me exactly what I needed, and wanted, without me knowing what I wanted. He truly is an expert, and a wizard… Everyone I work with, all of my friends, even my own family (who can be brutally honest) have commented on just how good it looks. Again, I only hesitate to post this review because if everyone flocks to him getting an appointment will be hard.
Yes, I’ve already booked my follow up appointments lol… and appointments for styling for upcoming events. He truly is the best of the best, and his staff are equally as amazing. Three cheers.

I went to Dayna for a balayage and she did an amazing job. I couldn’t be happier with the way my hair turned out. She’s very talented at her craft. Before she started, we talked about what I wanted. I never had a balayage before (and I’m terrible at explaining what I want) so brought in some “inspo pics.” She understood what I wanted but was also upfront and realistic about what could and couldn’t be accomplished with my hair color which I really appreciate. Since I’ve only done highlights in my hair I honestly wasn’t sure what results to expect with a balayage, but I got what I didn’t know I needed. She gave me an ashy blonde tone that I wanted and it blends perfectly with my natural hair color. It’s simply perfect for me. In addition to the balayage, she gave me a haircut. I had been to her once before for a cut and she did a great job which is why I decided to book with her for something more extensive. 10/10 would recommend Dayna.

Dayna at Andrew Steven is an extremely talented colorist and stylist. In the 5+ years she has been doing my hair I have come to rely on her advice and style. Everyone at the salon is super friendly and visiting them feels like a sweet treat.

I absolutely love going to Andrew Steven Salon and seeing Dayna for my hair. I had been thinking for a very long time getting bangs but I was so afraid of hating it. When I met Dayna about a year ago she was so patient and a great listener to my ideas and worries. She helped through my journey getting bangs and now I have full on bangs and I love it. Every time I get a haircut or a blowout I get so many compliments. I always recommend Dayna and so far they all have loved it too.

I was referred to Dayna after a hair disaster at another salon and she was incredible! She took me from hats only to beautiful in the first visit. She truly understands the science behind color and can anticipate how your hair will respond the the products before they ever touch your hair. She takes the time to talk about your hair goals and helps you achieve them while maintaining the health of your hair. I have been going to her every 6 weeks for the last 2 years and I would never go anywhere but to Andrew Steven salon. The entire staff is so warm and friendly. They know your name when you walk in and make you feel like a part of their family. The salon is beautiful and intimate. You don’t feel like you are one of 30 people getting services done there. I would absolutely recommend Andrew Steven Salon to anyone that wants amazing hair!

dayna did an amazing job on my hair she was really thorough during our consultation and let me know everything she was doing, and really focused on my hair health. it was my first time at andrew steven salon and all of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming!

If you are looking for thee best hair salon around THIS is it! I’ve been coming to Andrew for many years and he is an absolute HAIR GENIUS! I trust him completely when it comes to color, highlights and styling and wouldn’t go anywhere else! He does a phenomenal job every time !! Aside from that, he is one of the kindest people you could ever meet and everyone in the salon is so nice as well. LOVE this place!!!

Before my hair was so flat looked like a octopus in the back. Then i made a search, now I am so glad that i found this place i so love my new bob hair cut, thanks to andrew took off the weight of my hair makes feel so much lighter and airy! He done so good! Great hair cut!

This salon is great! I go to Nick and he always does an excellent job. When he cuts my hair he does the exact style I ask for and he doesn’t take too much off the length. He recently colored my hair and it came out perfect. Definitely recommend!

Love love love this salon!! From the receptionist to the hair stylists this salon is highly professional and has amazing customer service. Dayna is a true professional with a great personality and I look forward to seeing her for my monthly root touch up and highlights.

Walking into this place off Main Street it's so bright and vibrant. The entire staff here is very warm and inviting. They make you feel at home before you're even in the chair. I went to see (the oh so talented) Nick. I hadn't had a good cut in years and he delivered one of his signature cuts giving my hair depth and life. His blowouts are A1 and I left feeling brand new. I get complimented every time I leave the house. He's amazing at color and gives you exactly what you're looking to achieve. My daughter saw Carolyn this past weekend and she's been feeling herself ever since. She had some chunky highlights done elsewhere in Bay Shore and wasn't too happy. Carolyn gave her exactly what she was looking for with her balayage technique and it looks sooo naturally gorgeous. There's a reason so many people followed her and Nick from their former salon. Amazing people who love what they do and deliver gorgeous results.
