I went to Marrissa for about 2 yrs. She did my hair pretty good. I always wanted platinum blonde. Sometimes it came out more of a silver color which I liked so no complaints. Even know I did say platinum blonde. Sometimes it did come out platinum blonde, other times a bit brassy. One time I went in after a few months, I wanted platinum blonde again, I had no worries because she always did ok with my hair. She put this toner in that was supposed to make the process go quickly. Problem was, she left it on for too long. So my hair turned out to be a pink color. She told me to come back the next day to fix it. So I took her advice and went back the next day. She bought this organic product that was supposed to remove the pink red color. After she took the organic product out, she put the normal toner in. When she washed me out my hair turned a reddish Grey color. I was very upset. She tried to add more chemicals at the sink in my hair to bring it back up to the blonde color. All these chemicals severely burned my scalp. I had to keep telling her to stop using each chemical she tried to use because it hurt really bad. She said I must have a sensitive scalp. And I did have a small patch of psoriasis left on the bottom of my head by my neck. So at the end of these 2 days of continuous chemicals being put in my hair, my hair was a grey red color not platinum at all, I had bald spots that I found on the top of my scalp in multiple places. And a few days after, I was picking burn scabs off my scalp. She told me to use baby wash and it will turn blonde again. That did not work. My hair fell out in clumps in the shower. I had to buy expensive hair vitamins to grow back the bald spots. My hair is extremely thin still after a year. It still is falling out alot in the shower. My hair is paper thin, I cannot get it dyed for a very long time now. Because the bald spots did finally grow in, my hair is different lengths now too. I know it was by accident but her accident cost me my hair. I put money down before the appointment because that is what the link that she sent me told me to do. When I saw her she told me I shouldn't have put the money down. How was I supposed to know? She never gave back the money that I put down to get my hair done. She didn't have me pay the rest because she did mess up my hair and she did pay for my Uber ride home which was nice. But because she messed up my hair bad. Actually she ruined my hair, she should of gave me back the money that I put down to begin with. She did not do that. All my money should have been returned period. I now have to get most of my very long hair cut off and let it grow completely back again to be healthy. And she should have never had me come in the second day to add more chemicals that ultimately made me bald in certain spots and now my hair is completely thinned out like a piece of paper. And it continues to fall in the shower to this day. A year or so later. I am happy that she has so many satisfied customers. I will no longer ever go back to her. Mistakes happen and no one is perfect so I do forgive her. But what I went through and am still going through with my paper thin hair is a nightmare. I hope no one ever has to endure what I went through during the painful process of all the chemicals she put on my head in her attempt to fix it. And the after math of my thinning hair, burnt scalp and bald spots. And dying my hair the wrong color. I will not recommend her to any of my friends or family. Hope she never makes this mistake again. I have pictures to prove that she gave me bald spots and chemical burns. I now have to wear my hair in a ponytail all the time because it looks horrible if I wear it down. Some of the red/Grey did finally come out so it is a golden blonde at the ends. Becareful if you go there. Make sure you time ⏲️ your own hair so she doesn't accidentally leave the toner or color in too long. She does stare at her phone alot so she could accidentally forget the time ⏲️ she is supposed to take any toners or color out of your hair. Be wary. Good luc

Marisa has been doing my hair now for about 10 years. My last appointment was for color, cut, and extensions. The extensions look so natural and I can barely feel them in my hair. They give me the length and thickness I've always wanted. The cut was exactly what I asked for and honestly, the color is gorgeous. Just perfect for the season!

I’m always impressed at how well Marisa can take a photo I send or show her and turn it into my hair. She’s honest when it’s too much to do at once but really does her best to do what I’d like while keeping my hair healthy. I’ve been going to this salon for so long I travel to LI from Brooklyn now just to stay there. We’ve gone through so many color changes together and I’ve loved all of them! She knows her stuff and you won’t be disappointed.

I have had trouble finding someone who could give me a cut that I liked. Marissa’s haircut is the best I have had in some time. I am really happy with how it turned out.

Marisa is an extremely knowledgeable and talented hair stylist/artist. She is honest and actually listens to what you want. I am in the process of going from brunette to blonde which takes a lot of "know how" on the part of the stylist. She is realistic about how many sessions it will take to complete the look with out destroying my hair which I really appreciate! I would definitely recommend Marisa to anyone looking for a new hair stylist like I was. I had a very pleasant experience and will be continuing with her services in the future!Services: Balayage

I love coming here! I am taken on time for every appointment-which is every five weeks for color. I'm offered water, coffee etc. Marissa did highlights for me-I received compliments for days after. The owner never pushes products and only recommends if asked. Prices are very reasonable. I found this Salon through a special that was advertised over a year ago and I have been going ever since!

I decided to get a last-minute blowout and this place took me and did such an amazing job even though I was last minute Marissa is an amazing hairstylist she gave me beautiful curls and volume and she's very friendly I'm glad that I stumbled across this place if I lived in Long Island I would definitely come here more often I may make the trip out to come again for another wash and blow just because it was that amazing and my hair looks beautiful and smells fabulous. The only thing is they dont have tips on card so bring some cash for tip! I wish i was able to have tipped them more! lol
