“I had my.posessions in self storage over 20 years . Bob the previous owner is a good man. My employment took me all over the world. I would sometimes pay 3 to 6 months at a time for a few many yrars. If someone once said to me, i'm not wishing this on you, but what if something happened while you were overseas or in another state? And you paid six months ahead of time. I thought about it and then just kept it at two months at a time, I would pay. In fact, after twenty years, when I came to new york to finally close the storage, realizing my two bedroom condo could not possibly store anything, and why was I paying storage. Bob was someone that I wanted to donate the sum of my things to his church. Most of my stuff was going to be divided between two nephews who had recently bought homes. I was now living in jacksonville, florida, being a caregiver for my mom who it's eighty five years old. I knew traveling would be difficult to drive to new york, but my mom wanted to see her other children that still resided in new york. I decided to pay a few months ahead of time.So that when I arrived in new york, I would have no problem.Entering my storage. At this time, I did not know that the new management did not want to receive checks anymore and to pay them online. There was a big mix up, and I had mentioned that I actually paid a few months ahead of time, and there's no way that I should have any late fees or no access to my storage. When I mentioned to them that I had sent jacks for April and may they proceeded to tell me they don't accept checks. Anymore, and I told them that's probably why you haven't gotten paid.Because those checks are sitting in the office and nobody works in the office.Anymore. Meanwhile, the week I had to empty the storage and went by. And I came back to Jacksonville Florida and ended up abandoning
