“This place was so much fun to shop at. I was originally looking for the North Side Consignment Shop & Google maps kept rerouting me here. Laurie had changed her location and is in this place with other sellers. It has new & old stuff and even homemade candies, jams other assorted food items from local businesses. I highly recommend this place if you like to tinker around, you won't be disappointed!! I can't wait to stop again!!”
“If you are looking for quality used furniture and are tired of garage sales and Facebook Marketplace, this is the place for you. They have a great selection of items in good condition, all of which can be viewed on their website for convenient shopping from home. They also mark items down on a regular basis until they sell, so there is always a chance to snag a real bargain.”
“This store is one of the only places in the area I have found that sells used/vintage books for reasonable prices that isn't a thrift store selling whatever is donated. The seller Other World Books really takes the time to find books from all genres and price points. I went yesterday with my husband and we both found some really great books. I got an original printing of A Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin and my husband found two books from the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. With access to affordable books becoming more scarce places like this are really important. I've been three time in the last 3 months and I've bought at least 30 books. I cannot recommend them enough if you're trying to grow your home library without spending a small fortune. Book aside this store also has some really great stationary/ephemera as well. There are boxes and piles of postcards, old photos, maps, prints, etc scatter all over the store that are really fun to go through. I bought a vintage Waterman Laureat yesterday as well that I was able to take apart, clean, and get working last night and I'm very happy with it.”
“I purchased a beautiful secretary from Irene a few months back, and a lovely antique floor lamp a few years ago as well. Her selection is wonderful, and her prices are very fair. She is a pleasure to talk with, having much knowledge and being I can talk forever, time could easily vanish in conversation with her.I cannot say enough about my experience. She has a very large building filled with lovely things. But I don't always have a way to make it out to her place, being dependent on other's due to an inability to drive any longer. Just the same, I keep an eye out for her listings on FB. She responds very quickly, and you never have to wait long.Service: Home decor selection”
“Recently got a few pieces from here and it was all a great experience, especially the totally reasonable prices. Lots of cool pieces and knick knacks - if you're into vintage (especially MCM stuff) definitely worth your time. Will definitely be back regularly.”
“Going to Serendipity is always a treat, with a variety of items to browse. Guaranteed you'll find something to take home with you. On top of that, with Tom is personable and is always fun to talk to!”
“Absolutely love this hidden gem! You walk through the doors at the back corner of the building and it’s a time portal back in history. There’s a little bit of everything for everyone from antique books, glass, art and things I have no name for! This is the kind of store I think of when I want to go antiquing. The owner is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and makes your experience feel more like a visit. 10/10 recommend”
“I'm very pleased with my buying experience with David. My questions about the item were answered promptly, the package arrived quickly and was exactly as described. It would be great if they took plastic on an internet purchase, though, rather than send them a check.”
“This is one of my favorite local antique stores. There's a lot to look at, but the vendors tend to be well organized and tidy. As with most places, some of the prices are a bit higher than expected while others are lower. Overall, I think the prices are reasonable (and definitely better than most of those in the actual city of Syracuse.
My interactions with staff has always been pleasant. There's a parking lot so parking is plentiful. Other than the usual antique store smell, I've never noticed a bad odor.
It is cash only, but there's an ATM right next to the checkout. I've found that many mom-and-pop antique/co-ops are like this (probably bc the fees for credit are exorbitant which would have to be passed onto the customer). Check out might take a minute if you have many items from multiple vendors. I saw one review complaining about this which makes it obvious that they've never been a part of a co-op or have a lot of experience with these types of stores.”
“What a wonderful place this was, my first time there and it was the Holiday Open House
Loved it and everything was so neatly displayed and just tons of great things!! Will definitely be going back!! The owner was very nice, friendly and welcoming!!”
“I cannot say enough nice things about this shop and the owner. Went here for the first time today and I will definitely be back. Judi was so genuinely kind, she answered all my fusion paint questions and even offered me to contact her later if I thought of any more questions. The shop is beautiful as well. Fully enjoyed my experience here.”
