“Came up from Buffalo NY to visit family Thursday (memorial day weekend) evening.. around Binghamton noticed my Jeep started running very rough then engine light came on.. made it to Liberty.. Friday morning called this garage to see if he could service it.. dropped it off and in no time they had me back on the road saving the weekend and my wallet..he knew right away what the issue was and fixed it at a very fair price.. could have over charged since we were in a bind, but he was honest and fair. “Great service. I needed 2 tires that i bought from Walmart put on the rims. Everyone I took my car to refused to do it because I didn't purchase the tires through them. I called J&S on July 3rd he told me he had a 1030 am opening on July 4th to bring them In. By 11:15 am i was driving off the lot headed home. They have 1 quilality most shops lack today and that's honesty. I Plan on Taking my car in the future for another repairs I might have”

“Ever hear of an Honest Mechanic? John Pavese first earned my respect 10 years ago when I brought in my then-new Nissan Sentra with the service light on. Nissan of Middletown said mice ate the wires and I needed a new 02 sensor- $350.00!! I was dubious so brought it to Pavese's. John called me into the bay and showed that only one wire was cut clean through, probably a rock flew up just right and severed it. He soldered it and charged 26.00, my light was out and I was thankful. Fast forward 10 years and I brought my same junkie rusted noisy Sentra in to fix it up so I could sell it on Autotrader. He recommended not putting one more penny into it, "take it to the dealer and trade it in". Even when I almost begged him to fix the noises so I could drive it until I trade it in, he would not do so as he stood by his advice. Find another mechanic that would NOT happily take your money!”

“Have had cars inspected here a number of times. Also, had a run-flat tire patched a couple of years ago. Supposedly you can’t patch those tires. They did so and haven’t had a problem. Staff are always courteous and efficient. Price to patch the tire was very reasonable.”
“We were traveling to Connecticut late afternoon Friday 9/26 when our car ran over some road debris which resulted in having to tow it off of Rt. 17 for service. Although it was almost 3pm Tyler said he would take a look at it and he eventually replaced the broken control arm. We were so grateful that he was willing to take care of us so quickly, considering how busy the shop was. We arrived at a decent time in Connecticut that night and were able to spend time with our grandkids.

“My car was involved in a fender bender over the Thanksgiving holiday. I've heard wonderful things about Bill Whalen and his mechanics in the past so I brought my 20 year old car in for repairs. I'm an older woman living on a limited income and I could not have gotten better service at a better price anywhere else but here. I was treated as a priority, not just a fender bender by his mechanics who kept me in the loop about everything they were doing. The price for the job Bill charged me was "compassionate" and not just about making a dollar. If I could give his business and the people who work here 10 stars, I would. Good people, lots of integrity.”

“I had a tire blow out on route 17 late in the afternoon. The tow truck guy said that this place had my tire size in stock. I got there, got the tire replaced right away and was on my way in no time. The price was very reasonable and the work was professionaly done. No one wants to have to visit a repair shop in an emergency, but it is nice to know that this place is here and will take care of you when you need it.”

“I'm surprised at the negative reviews. I've been very pleased with this service center, originally under Tony and now managed by the new owner, Moe. My second car is an older Saturn that I am keeping alive for sentimental reasons and these guys have done amazing things to keep it on the road, always for a reasonable price. Granted, they're sometimes busy and you may need to have some schedule flexibility, but IMHO that's a small price to pay for professional and honest service.”

“Called when they were closed on a Sunday evening, they got back to me within 15 minutes. Had car towed there Sunday night, they had it diagnosed with the parts ordered by Monday afternoon. Got a call around noon on Tuesday that it was ready to be picked up. Incredibly quick turn around time, the women I spoke with were both incredibly helpful. This is certainly my local garage moving forward, highly recommend”
