For years I have had problems with the fraud department randomly locking my card or canceling a charge right down to our local grocery store, Tops, every single week. They finally (after years) said they traced it back to My Apple Pay triggering it, but they fixed it. I have been told this repeatedly every time the card was blocked and once again it was not true. So when I called Lockport, I was upset at the fact that I had to go through this again and the first lady could give me no information and when I asked for a manager, she transferred me to somebody’s voicemail. Paul. I left a message and realized that I forgot to ask if my card was unlocked so I could use my money when I felt like it. I called back and Debbie answered the phone and she couldn’t tell me because even though I had all of my pertinent information some code I have never been asked about before in all the times I’ve called. I didn’t know. So she transferred me to another lady who was exceedingly ignorant, and refused to tell me if the card was unlocked because I have been passed to a manager. When I told her I had groceries and I needed to pay for them and I need to know if my card is working she absolutely refused to give me any information And again transferred me to Paul who clearly is not available. Basically, she was keeping my money hostage as punishment because I was unhappy.
I called back again and spoke to Debbie and told her that I was filing a complaint with the federal reserve about their banking practices and that somebody needed to tell me now whether my card was unlocked or not. Debbie put me on hold and then came back to say that, yes, in fact, it was unlocked. You shouldn’t have to threaten a bunch of adults with a governing branch that overseas how they behave For them to tell you if you can use your money.
There are far better credit unions in better places to go. Don’t even bother. I have never had more problems with a financial institution that I’ve had with this place.
I did finish my complaint, even though they answered my question finally so we’ll see what happens…

Worst bank ever. Do yourself a favor and choose literally any other bank. You go in, the customer service sucks. The hours for this place suck. On top of that, there have been way too many instances where we have absolutely 0 access to our bank accounts. No way to login online, call and they can’t give you any information, NOTHING. Currently unable to look at my account to see anything AGAIN. What kind of janky old system are you people using?? On top of their extremely silly rules they have, their dumb hours, no after hours help, not being able to have access to our account on 10+ occasions over the past couple of year (not at all Exaggerating). It’s quite laughable that you are able to build a brand new bank 5 miles from the one you already got but unable to upgrade to a system that actually works. As I said before, steer clear of this place. Not worth the hassle at all. Also gotta love all their generic responses to complaints in the past year but absolutely 0 effort made on fixing the same ongoing problem. Hope this place goes under and quickly

They do whatever they want with your money whenever they want. Do yourself a favor save the headache and go to a different bank or credit union.

If your spouse passes away they freeze the account and don’t have access to it unless you go to court they don’t care at all about the widow

I had an amazing experience with Conerstone Federal Credit Union today thanks to Bonnie who worked with us. I went in to open a new account for my mother who was Neely immigrated to the country and did not realize how tedious the procress would be. Bonnie was kind, patient and extremely resourceful while assisting us. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my mother who is new to the country and already very anxious and u aware of the process. Bonnie left no stone unturned when we ran into hurdles and exhausted all avenues to resolve. Needless to say my mom was able to leave with here new account set up! Thanks Bonnie, patient and kind individuals like yourself are needed in the customer service field. Highly recommend this credit union.

This bank is a joke! They are were told of my situation but my account is closed and I am being threatened with collecting agencies now.I told them I am between jobs and I still get threatened?This bank is terrible!They don't care don't get an account here they are money hungry that's all

I've been with you guys for well over 10 years I've never gotten approved for a loan never had a raise in my credit card spending limit and they immediately charge you $25 for an overdraft fee if you even go a penny over what you have in your account only reason I have kept them for this long is that they do have the checking aspect of things pretty well figured out for loans and credit cards pick another bank I moved to Pennsylvania the bank I have down here will give you a overdraft alert and so many days to bring your account back in the positive before charging you an overdraft fee an idea that Cornerstone would benefit for implementing

*edit* this review was deleted sk I'm reposting it.Worst bank in niagara county, lazy, corner cutting, garbage people. Ask anybody who's been with them and used their app tell you, it's a nightmare that weekly WEEKLY, happens. I genuinely hope people see through them. 2 banks within 10 miles, and a 3rd new one. Clearly they are making a huge profit, and none of it goes into taking care of the app, or general cleanliness, or even repairs. Go into one of the banks and I promise there will be damage inside that's been there for a while.

Their app is so outdated and useless, it'll just not work for hours. Happens weekly. Today was the last straw and I immediately closed my account and went to a new bank. Someone explain why we should trust a credit union that can't even be bothers to keep up to date technology that controls the money? Unless you're a senile old lady who doesn't use the internet, go to a different bank. These guys clearly do not care for the consumer and only want you to think they do.
